We are located on the beautiful Northumberland Strait, which boasts the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. When the tide is out you can walk on the sand bars for hours. Here you will enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
We are only 15 minutes from the Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia is only half an hour away if you want to go exploring.
Also, you might like to try your luck fishing sea bass. Legal catch size is 50 to 65 centimeters.
Our large beach front sites easily accomodate RVs and motor homes. Sites 1,2,3,and 10 are not available as they have been booked for seasonal campers.
We have 10 open sites.
We allow one camping unit per site.
Campfires are permitted according to provincial regulations. Firewood is available. Dogs are permitted; however, they must be on a leash at all times.

We are OPEN despite the current issues. No fires are allowed due to provincial bans. Enjoy the quiet skyline and maybe even catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. Our grass lots are backed with lush Appalachian forest and leads way to a slow brook where you can wade with the tide or try your hand at fishing or simply sit by the fire and enjoy the solitude. Check in is self guided as there is no host on site but you'll find it simple as all sites, as well as the toilet area is well marked with signage. We are Located just off the Acadian Coastal Drive and minutes from the beautiful Fundy shore. You can bring your tent, RV, van or camper and choose from 4 fantastic sites. 1-30 amp service, 2
roadside non-serviced as well as one privative forested site and 3 tent sites. All sites are equipped with a fire pit and access to our outhouse restroom. Wood is available for purchase if you didn’t bring your own! We are currently fencing in the entire property to make it a dog/cat and livestock safe area so pets can enjoy a safer experience . This will be done in stages so hang tight with us until this is completed.
You can also explore New Brunswick with a drive on Acadian Coastal Drive ·Appalachian Range Route · Fundy Coastal Drive · Miramichi River Route or Fundy Coastal Drive Stop by and visit Murray Corner Provincial park for a swim and watch the tide roll out.
Looking to see multiple provinces?? We are in the perfect spot to see all of what the East coast has to offer. View PEI’s spectacular Confederation Bridge from the shoreline and take a drive to PEI which is only minutes from us. Mainland Nova Scotia is less than a 30 minute drive and if your adventurous and want to drive the Cabot Trail then you can reach Cape Breton Island in under 2 hours! Catch a Ferry to Newfoundland if your heart desires.

"Big Blue" sits atop a lawn covered hill on the shore of the Cobequid Bay. A grove of fir and pine trees offer a sense of woodland solitude and fairies. The energy is magical.
You can enjoy a front row seat or amble down over the lawn to sit on the end of the public wharf to watch the tidal bore squeeze into the mouth of the Shubenacadie River. It won't be long and you can marvel at the force of the water as it turns and begins to pour back toward the Bay of Fundy.
Walk across the dyke to reach the oldest continually operating general store in North America - Frieze and Roy. Beyond the Wharf, a locally stocked craft shop borders us on the easterly side of the lawn. Next to it you will find Dawson Dowel Picnic Park, a playground and basketball court.
On the westerly side of the driveway you there is a marsh area. The remnants of the shipyard where the WD Lawrence was built in the 1800's can be seen poking through the sand on the beach directly in front of the marsh. At low tide you can walk for miles in a westerly direction. Always be Tide Aware!
Across the road from the marsh is the residence of WD Lawrence himself. It is a provincial museum. Directly across from Big Blue is a Ducks Unlimited pond. The sound of the geese and ducks can be heard 24 hours a day! There is a path that circumvents most of the pond. Adjacent to the Lawrence House parking lot there is an observatory where you can linger and watch the shenanigans of the occasional muskrat or possibly a beaver.
The washrooms are accessed through a side door on the verandah of the main house. There are three showers and three toilets. If happen to be missing your "workout" there is a treadmill and exercise bike available to use.
Outdoor fire regulations are strictly adhered to. There is a BBQ available for a small fee.

Gloria was a friendly host and the big grassy yard that she offered was a good place to camp near the Bay of Fundy where you could watch the tides come and go.. There’s a nice walking trail from her place to the village of Maitland where we got a very decent dinner at a good price. The bathroom facilities were substandard, not clean, but made available whenever we needed it. Overall, it was a decent experience, although perhaps a bit overpriced.

We arrived with our trailer which is self contained late in the season and Manuel's place welcomed us with friendly hospitality . We stayed one night and the weather was rainy so we did not have a chance to hike the property but the welcome was warm and friendly.

The property was beautiful and Helmut was very friendly. We felt welcomed right away and loved the ocean views, especially at sunset.
We had a short stay but loved every minute of it❤️. We would definitely go back again and would recommend this place to anybody.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of properties I’ve ever seen! The river water was so clear you can see all the way to the bottom,.
Surrounded by a gorgeous wooded area - the views were spectacular!
The army tent was so cosy and comfortable with a great skylight view of the stars. Nestled in history - it feels like you’re stepping back in time. All you need is a sleeping bag.
We truly appreciated the hosts, Brad and Erica. Their knowledge of the history of the area was extremely interesting. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thank you to both of you!
I wish I could give them more stars than just the five stars allowed as it truly was an experience of a lifetime.
So very grateful to have visited this place. We will be back again and again!

We got to enjoy Gloria’s property all by ourselves! Beautiful views over the water and easy access from the road. Very nice to have showers and bathrooms available. We were the only ones there so it was very nice and quiet and Gloria was lovely to chat with! Thanks for having us!

I had a fantastic time at this spot and thanks to helmut our host he made it that jeun better. We ended up staying 1.5 days due to the heavy wind and the fire ban (both out of our hosts control) but he was very helpful setting up our tents, providing us with his bbq in his garage to cook and offered us a place through a neighbor friend who wasn’t far either.
I would definitely and highly recommend helmut and this space.
We drive from montreal just to see the ocean and Ute as worth it. Also-the stars at night were amazing. You can really appreciate the clean air, the minimum pollution and traffic in this province and the time and space to connect to nature.

Just wow!!! The hosts are beyond awesome. They have worked very hard to create a unique and awesome space to camp/ relax and they have certainly achieved it. The setting is pure magic and they couldnt be more welcoming, everything you need is there for easy and fun camping. With incredible swimming, mountain biking, hiking, and Bay of Fundy near by its a wonder this place isn't reserved months out in advance. Do your self a favor and go visit this beautiful campsite in a pristine valley. We stumbled across it on our way home from a trip up north, now we have a new favorite spot, we will for sure be back. It truly is about as good as it gets for camping!!

When we arrived, we were greeted by a kind host. The site was very large and grassed. It’s pretty levelled. There’s non-drinkable water available. Firewood and dump station were available for $12 each. It’s right by stunning beach which is great for claiming but the calming season is from Apr to May and Oct to Nov there. One bad thing we experienced was mosquitoes. They were extremely bad. I noticed none of the reviews mentioned about bugs so maybe it’s not usually bad. Just in case, make sure to have bug repellents or bug suits.

What an amazing location. Gloria is so friendly and accommodating. We parked our 16ft camper on top of the hill and had a wonderful Fundy breeze all night. Sunrise from the dock is a must see. Would highly recommend this hipcamp to all travellers.

Highly recommend. A great spot, overlooking the “Baie Verte,” right on the ocean. Host Hrlmut is a wonderful guy, super hospitable, and clearly loves the land he is stewarding. The potable water, picnic table, and fire pit are nice touches. Usual summer mosquitos are present.
