We are 25+ minutes to St. Martins, 30+ minutes to Fundy National Park, 35 minutes to Saint John and 1 hr drive to both Fredericton and Moncton. Keep in mind, we are a beekeeping operation and although there are no hives in the near vicinity you may want to refrain from staying with us if you have an allergy to bees. **You need an SUV or AWD vehicle to access this property usually. Good place to rest your head for the evening if road tripping. However definitely not suited for tent camping as the ground is very uneven and rocky. Relatively private and good tree coverage. They do have a table and a tarp which can come in handy!

This was a beautiful site, next to a pond in an enormous, well-tended field. As described, the road down to the site was a little rough, but the area we camped was grassy and smooth with plenty of flat spots. A great spot to watch the Stars on a moonlit night.

This site can accommodate all RV’s including motor homes. Drive directly to the site and enjoy your very own private vacation spot 🌸

A truly hidden gem! We were received well and the warmth from Paul and Sue was perfect for our couple's roadtrip. We will definitely return there if we ever go back to New-Brunswick. Great place to park my truck for a couple of nights. Protected, shady, quiet, and peaceful. They had a table and a tarp there if I had needed them, which was a nice touch. It was super dry, so didn't have too many bugs (I could see them being pretty bad if it was wet out). Didn't need to set up a tarp or anything, but plenty of trees to do so if you need to. Also great places for hammocks! It's perfect if you are staying in a hammock, small camper, or vehicle. I'm not sure where I would have found a non rocky/rooty/rutty place to set up a tent if that's where I had been sleeping, so keep that in mind if you are tenting it. It was great for the set-up I have! The neighbors house felt a little close, but where and how I parked still felt very private with the angle of my vehicle and the trees. I think I was just more surprised than anything as I didn't notice it in the pictures. Great spot for a few nights!

We had a wonderful time tenting here! The owners are very friendly and easy going. The property is gorgeous and my twins had a blast playing in the brook all day. It was our first time tenting as a family and I can confidently say we couldn’t have picked a better spot! I loved tent camping on Paul’s land! I ended up staying in another site than I originally had booked (and was able to pick the one that had the most privacy by the stream. The hammock and lounger by the water was a nice touch. They even helped me put up my tent even (I had never set it up without my husband ha ha). I loved just exploring the land surrounding the farm and the bunnies were adorable! The stars and fireflies at night were so beautiful. Since this was my first Hipcamp stay I am so thankful I had such great hosts! Thanks again for the memories!

We only stayed one night on Braydon’s land but it was very charming and Braydon was very knowledgeable regarding off grid living/ homesteading. There were nice little spots nestled in the trees all over his land to camp and despite its more remote location it was a very fun spot to spend the night. We would definitely consider returning if we were passing through again.

We loved our spot, which was very private, the place is absolutely beautiful with lots of trails and the owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable. And the best part all the animals! Where to go

Kouchibouguac National Park

Sitting on the Acadian Coast of New Brunswick, this stunning park combines lush forest with salt-marshes that are home to thousands of birds, and sandy beaches that spill into the warm ocean. Kouchibouguac offers amazing hiking, kayaking, fishing, clam digging, and all manner of Parks Canada-provided activities (including going out in a traditional Indigenous canoe). Year-round backcountry camping is available, as are seasonal serviced campsites and oTENTiks.

Bear Island

This tiny community is a great spot for hanging out in nature and having a low-key break, with some awesome attractions and a sweet campsite that comes with its own private beach, a swimming pool, and trails. Nearby in Nackawic is the World’s Largest Axe, a cable suspension bridge, and Howland Falls.

Mactaquac Provincial Park

This heavily wooded park was built for year-round camping. Aside from hiking, fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the numerous freshwater beaches, Mactaquac features a marina, an activity center, and ziplines. In winter, Mactaquac Provincial Park offers sleigh rides, groomed ski trails, skating, fat-bike rentals, and two groomed sledding hills.

When to go

Up until June, the weather in this part of New Brunswick can be pretty changeable (and cold and wet), but summers are warm and can be pleasant right through to the end of October, when fall kicks in along the Saint John River. You can experience everything Fredericton offers year-round, but some attractions and campsites outside of the city operate only on a seasonal basis.

Know before you go

Cell service in less-populated areas of New Brunswick can be patchy, so don't rely on your phone as your only map if going off into parks.
French is widely spoken in Fredericton, as New Brunswick is Canada's only legally bilingual province (and all services must be offered in both English and French). If travelling north of the city toward Quebec, you’ll find the French language much more commonly spoken.
Free camping on Crown Lands (as in owned by the government but not a designated park) is permitted for short periods in New Brunswick.
