Welcome to your own secluded getaway! This beautiful 70-acre parcel of land is perfect for anyone looking for a family retreat, a place to explore the great outdoors, or a serene place to get away from it all.
We have 4 beautiful camp spots with the option of pitching a tent or parking a camper! If you don't have your own we have tenting equipment and campers for rent!
The sunset is excellent and the stars at night are breathtaking. You'll feel completely removed from the hustle and bustle of the city.
There are walking trails throughout the property and rough hiking in the woods.
You can see all kinds of wildlife if you are quiet enough! The open fields provide beautiful views of the night sky and a few lakes nearby, including our own private pond for kayaking, canoeing or swimming.

In the center of Steep Rock, just 250 m from the lake, you can set up a tent, or camper, with electrical and water access, just a 3 minute walk from the lake. There's a shady bonfire location in the bush with hammocks, access to a BBQ, on site kayak rentals, coffee, ice cream, cold drinks and other conveniences. And plenty of free parking. Accessible without driving down dusty gravel roads. Portable toilet on site. I had trouble uploading photos, otherwise I'd have better ones.

A beautiful piece of property with campsites and trails along the Winnipeg River and Pine Creek. Enjoy scenic hiking through the boreal shield rock landscape on-site while searching for seasonal berries, mushrooms, and beautiful lookouts.
You can walk along the Winnipeg River and Pine Creek, both of which are excellent for spotting ducks, geese, swans, and other birds nesting along the shore.
Some sites offer full amenities, while others are as rustic and secluded as you prefer. Each site includes a fire pit to enjoy the evenings while watching beautiful sunsets. Firewood is available.
This is an active farm property, so you may hear occasional animal sounds, which only add to the charm of the experience.
There is excellent access to a large dock for tying up your boat, swimming, or casting a line to catch a variety of fish. We also offer paddle boats, paddle boards, canoes, and fishing boat rentals at an additional cost.
There is a large yard for lawn games and a volleyball net for those looking for something active to do.
We also offer accommodations for horse owners, including fenced paddocks with water and miles of nearby trails to explore. Please inquire for additional pricing.

To get there you need to be in Manitoba, 2nd road east, of Hwy #229 (south side) 60 miles north of Winnipeg of Hwy #7 .The lane looks like your going down a bush trail (do not let this fool you). This site is on a ridge, surrounded with spruce trees, oaks. and poplars. You will find a fire pit, out door shower. out door kitchen, out house and access to a generator. We have kept each site very private and once in your spot, you are out of site of other campers to immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings of Oak, Alder and Pine trees. Each site comes with its own large firepit for cozy evening barbecues.
If you are looking for larger group bookings. We offer "The Social." An area big enough for around 8 tents, smaller RVs, and trailers. All set round a large central firepit.
There is some stunning crownland to the North of the campsite with ATV and walking trails to Norris Lake and the surrounding area.

Great secluded spot with beach access. Was able to pull right up with our suburban and 17foot trailer with minimal effort, a larger trailer and truck may have some difficulty pulling right up to the prime window view, but wouldn't be a big deal to stay back a bit. Fire bowl had a wheelbarrow with wood ready to go and plenty of beach wood around to collect with permission. Sunrise was insanely beautiful. Only thing we would change is staying longer!

Location location location = 5 stars! Minutes to all the Steep Rock sites (trails, cliffs, beach) and minutes to the gorgeous limestone rock quarry with its blue water & amazing trails. Peter was such a wonderful accommodating host...eager to help us with every little thing we may need - such a nice guy!

It is a nice location close everything is close by. Pete gave us directions and had no issues finding the place. Pete met us and gave us a couple options for where we could set up. It is close to the boat launch, beach and the old quarry. We enjoyed our stay and Pete is a good host. We will be going back to stay again.

My husband and I had a great time at Pete’s Place. Peter was fantastic! When we arrived, he showed us around his property and let us choose the spot that we would like to park our camper and set up our tent. If we needed anything, he had it on hand. No matter how busy he was, and man was he busy, between checking in guests at his numerous airbnbs, cleaning, running kayaks, paddle boards & life jackets back and forth from his shop to the water, and everything else he had on the go, he still always made time to check in on us. He answered any questions we had and gave suggestions of where to go and what to see and also made sure to warn us of the abundance of poison ivy. He was also great with our dog, who’s quite protective and can be a little extra at times. We can’t recommend Pete’s Place enough. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful property and very private site in the forest. The open fields were amazing for a walk with our dog on the cut grass trails. The property is a quick ~ 30 minutes to Winnipeg. There is a railway line to the south which you can occasionally hear but didn’t bother us. The host was able to provide water from their well for our RV water tank on the way in. We will definitely return on our next trip in the area. Loved it!

What a beautiful location on the lake. Perfect tent site that you can spread out a bit as there several pockets areas to pitch a tent or a small overland set up. Nelson returned all my texts in a timely manner and offers a fire pit and wood when there are no fire bans. Highly recommended!

We loved it and had an awesome weekend. It was rustic camping kinda vibe . Peter the host was very accommodating, he was there and greeted us when we got to the campsite and showed us around and made us pick which spot we wanted , he’s very nice and always checked on us and making sure we’re ok. Our kids had a great time kayaking , swimming and visiting the goat island. Peter has different kind of water toys so you won’t get bored . We will for sure come back.

This property have so much to offer ! There were multiple places for us to choose from to pitch our tent as well as clean bathroom facilities / has a freezer on site for the campers ! We loved it. The hammock area is so dreamy and it's perfect to relax. The property is super close to the beach and it's easy to access.
But what impacted us the most was Peter ! He went above and beyond for us. He even helped us with a car issue the morning we left, he's an incredible host. We got to meet his goat, chickens and even his Dad. He showed us all around his property and there was so much to see / do! We loved every minute.
