We have been recycling this farm for years. It was owned previously by a couple who worked for a nursery and they planted many varieties of trees. Later it was part of a Manitoba pilot project for hi-bred poplar so there is a 14 acre poplar forest that was planted on a grid. It is a very unique place. We love it here and hope you do too! Our time there was quiet and Cindy gave us a full measure of privacy. The only downside was the traffic noise from highway 8.

We loved this lovely setting, by far our favorite camp site! Easy to find, great set -up with a fire pit loaded ready to go! The ability to camp in such a natural setting was certainly what we love. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. #1 by far.

Weekend Trip to Bonnetts Boreal Forrest

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful property and very private site in the forest. The open fields were amazing for a walk with our dog on the cut grass trails. The property is a quick ~ 30 minutes to Winnipeg. There is a railway line to the south which you can occasionally hear but didn’t bother us. The host was able to provide water from their well for our RV water tank on the way in. We will definitely return on our next trip in the area. Loved it!

Camping in the Poplar trees was relaxing. It is fairly close to the hwy, but it was not too loud and we could hear the wind blowing through the trees not the vehicles on the hwy:) and the trees provided a nice wind block on a very windy weekend!

Cindy is an A+ host. Extremely responsive and very accommodating. The property is beautiful. I had a 30ft RV and had everything I needed (water, electricity and dump). Had a great one night stay and would gladly stay again. There are two dogs on the property and Cindy made the effort to introduce myself and family to the more “excited” dog so it could be aware of our presence. Otherwise we did not see the dog during our stay.

There are a lot of space for summer/winter camping. During summer I bet it's especially lovely to be among the wood. Even during winter camping it's quite calm and peaceful.
