We have been creating a homestead in harmony with nature over the past 11 years. We reside year round in the Post and beam straw bale home that was built in 2000. Our current project is building our “aging in place” hemp lime cottage. Once completed it is our plan to build an in ground greenhouse. Additional future plans include building for a music studio, further development of our food forest, and the offering of self development training workshops. Additional camping/rv sites will be made available in the coming years. We look forward to offering fellow nature lovers an opportunity to appreciate the benefits and peace Braeheart Nature Retreat has to share. Whether you are seeking a more private get away or an opportunity to experience our developing homestead ideas/practices, we are devoted to meeting your desires. Weekend Trip to Boulder Mountain Resort

It was amazing! Comfy beds, warm and cozy space. Even though the highway is close, inside we couldn’t hear any traffic from outside :) We would suggest some sort of lamp/light fixture in each bunk. Otherwise everything was perfect :)

The forest bunkie was a perfect mix between hotel and camping. AC, electricity and sophisticated security all inside a beautiful cabin with bunk beds, custom wood furniture and a mini wood stove. It smelled amazing, just like the woodsy forest that surrounded it. Also, showers, toilets and laundry super close by. Lastly and best of all, they welcomed my doggie with treats, poop bags and dishware ! I wish could have stayed longer!

Weekend Trip to Hillside Lake View

Had a great weekend here, everything we needed. Located close to many beautiful beaches and is very private and quiet. As a bonus our dog was able to be off leash ! Would absolutely come back. Host Mike is a super friendly guy and was able to answer any questions we had :)

We are a family of 4! 2 kids and 2 adults! We loved the bunkie! It was clean and in good condition! Clean mattresses, blankets and pillows were provided. We were very happy. The resort has everything you need including a dish house, showers, playground, hot tub, and a little store. We were even given free coffee in the morning. Everything was great! The owners provided amazing customer service and answered any questions we had. We were sad we could only stay one night but we will be back!

I loved the Forest Bunkie at Boulder Mountain Resort! It was small, but had everything you need to feel like you’re camping, but with some comfortable amenities. Two queen size beds, a four person dining table, and lots of storage. There was a fire pit and a picnic table as well. The location is beautiful, and the camp shop and office were well stocked and friendly. I appreciated the clean washrooms and place to do dishes as well.

1 night at Boulder Mountain Resort

We stayed in one of the bunkies. We were surprised at how well the sound insulation worked considering how much traffic there is on the no. 1 highway going right past. The mattress was really comfortable, so that was a plus. Our only thought was that there should be some kind of turning lane to get in and out of the campground; the highway was super busy! Good value for the low price!
