The location is a few kilometres off of Alberni Hwy and a short drive away from beaches, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, Goats on the Roof, and many hiking and biking trails. The site is also within biking distance to some trails. The Errington Farmers market is a walk or bike ride away. Each standard campsite has a flat gravel surface suitable for tents, smaller RV's, shorter travel trailers, truck campers, rooftop tents, camper vans, and similar. Site 3 has a tent pad, well suited for cyclists or motorbikes.
Small trailers up to 20 feet may be usable, but access may be tight.
Please note, that while there is a campfire ban, camp stoves and propane fire pits are permitted.

1 night at Valinore Glamping
Oh my god, what a lovely experience! As a LOTR nerd, I was delighted at the theme. :) The site was peaceful and quiet, the doggies were so friendly and welcoming, and every detail was thoughtfully designed. For me, this was capital G glamping. There was a very clean flushing toilet outhouse with all amenities you’d need, the shower was so amazing - think, steamy cedar, cool island air, fresh fluffy towels. The outdoor kitchen with organic coffee, spearmint tea, and yummy cookies in the morning was truly next level fancy shmancy.
The tent was amazing: clean, cozy, and warm, beautifully designed in art nouveau fashion. We slept like logs!
100% worth it, and a great value!
I sure hope to be back one day for longer!

It had everything we needed and more. The view was beautiful, and having shade throughout the day made it extra comfortable when the sun was out. The location was convenient, close to the bathrooms and water, but not too close. Colin was a great host. We’ll definitely be back!

Our stay at Valinore Glamping exceeded my expectations. Not that I had low expectations, but upon arrival at the property, both my partner and I were impressed by the craftsmanship of the cabin, the shared amenities, and the well-kept grounds in general. The property is in a nice central location perfect for exploring the mid Island, with lots to do nearby and the highway is right there for exploring further afield. The cabin is comfortable and well-equipped, with cooking supplies, coffee/tea, an A/C unit, heater, a propane fire pit, and even laundry. The common area has a nice clean shower and toilet, as well as additional cooking supplies. During our stay we were thrilled to be warm and dry in the cabin while an incredible electrical storm thundered overhead and dumped buckets of rain. We sat under the overhang and enjoyed the propane fire pit as the sky exploded — it was pretty awesome. Nearby Parksville/Qualicum/Coombs offer lots to do, I’d recommend checking out the new brewery/restaurant Fern & Cedar, swimming at Englishman River Falls Provincial Park, and mountain biking at Hammerfest riding area. I’d certainly stay at Valinore Glamping again.

Great campsite! Can’t wait to be back! Close to town, the lake, the mountain, we had the best of everything in close proximity. The campsite was very well maintained and beautiful. Our kids enjoyed the cows and picking blackberries. Highly recommend!

Colin’s hip camp is great. Very clean (including the toilet), and nice Adirondack chairs at each campsite (or table/chairs at walk-in). Colin was very kind and knowledgeable of the area. It’s about 15-20 min from Courtney. Beautiful country roads surround the property.

Colin was a wonderful host and has clearly put a lot of thought into his space. He stopped by our site after we got settled in and shared some intel on local mountain biking and made us feel welcome. If you are coming with a group of people, sites 3, 4, and 5 make a great "bundle" which is what we did, and Colin was flexible in allowing us to park with our friends by sites 4 and 5 (which were very close) since neither of them had large RVs or trailers.

Great little spot away! Stayed in the Fea tent and appreciated how clean, comfortable, and well thought out it was.
Great communication and nice touches such as having french press and coffee / tea available to enjoy in the morning. And having a nice space for a hot shower after a long day out was much appreciated.
