The RV sites are for RV's that are self-sufficient without the need for electricity nor water in or out (no dumping and there is no running water nor an outhouse at RV sites). RV's will be parking on grass and the site REQUIRES LEVELLING. We can accommodate vehicles up to 39ft in length. Have your choice of bringing your own tent or using ours! New Glamping Dome Tents with Queen Sized Beds, table and chairs and hammocks including a covered counter for cooking . Unplug and Unwind to the sound of breeze through the trees and romantically flowing water from the nearby creek. There is no cell service or electromagnetic disruption here which makes for a beautiful peaceful mountain retreat. The road is a gravel road in winter would require 4x4. Otherwise we've seen many EVO cars (Prius Hybrid or fully electric Kia Niro) and even fancy Teslas and BMW sedan's on this road.

A perfect site for camping! Thanks to Carmen for her welcome, and to her friendly dog Molly for her company at dinner and who garded at night. The chalet for the toilets is very nice and clean. A hot shower would have been nice but we were warned before our arrival that it didn't work. We recommend!

We were travelling through Pemberton on our way to Whistler on a busy weekend and all the area campgrounds were full. We looked on Hipcamp and found Gabe’s place was 5 minutes away. Gabe was quick to reply to our message and the directions to get there were easy to follow. We spent a quiet peaceful night. Unfortunately the wild fire smoke in the area blocked the beautiful views we saw in the pictures. We were thankful to have the spot.

We loved the camping there! The two hosts were super nice people and we ended up chatting quite a while while they showed us around. The campsite is very nice too: the pit toilet has a water bucket to wash hands and soap. Each campsite has a picknick table. There was only one other guest that night, so it was relatively privat. Would absolutely recommend.

Lovely little lot just a couple of minutes from Pemberton (Backcountry Pizza has delicious pizza) with a breathtaking view in the evening. No service but as a quick stop before/after Whistler it's perfect. Thanks, Gabe, for being responsive and all friendly before and during our visit!

Carmen’s campsite, HayLmore, is amazing. There is a washroom with a flush toilet and sink which is kept clean. Behind the bathroom building is a double sink, for dishes, dish soap included. Can and plastic recycling as well as a place for garbage- please keep garbage to a minimum as it’s a regular size garbage bin and there are other campers. We stayed a ponderosa which to me is the most private spot, and I’ll definitely stay there again. We had a 20’ pick-up with slider camper. Molly (the dog) keeps to herself these days as she’s getting a little older, but she still loves pets. Carmen sells her eggs, tomatoes (or veggies of the season too). Thank you Carmen and Molly☺️🙂😎

Gabe's property is gorgeous. The mountains, the meadow and the stars we saw were stunning. Gabe was very thoughtful to warn us of an accident that was going to block the road from Whistler for several hours. The road noise is noticeable, but eventually died down and we had a great stay.

5 nights at Haylmore Creek Farm

Amazing, quiet place. Carmen was very responsive. Wasroom was impecable and dish washing station was very useful. Potable water was available too. The shower was not available yet, but we drove to Pemberton and showered in the rec centre for $4.50 each. We heard generators at night, but was not a problem for us (I always use earplugs for sleeping anyway, and my husband is a very good sleeper). We had a few little walks to the creek. We saw salmon swimming upstream. We went to Birkenhead lake a few times,, it’s like a 20 min drive. Totally worth it, it was not too busy and the beach was sandy. We loved the place, We will definitely come back.

Weekend Trip to Haylmore Creek Farm

This was a little piece of paradise, tucked away in a quiet area with incredible mountain views. The campsites are similarly spaced to a provincial park, so don’t assume total privacy while there. My neighbors were quiet so it was no issue. The dog was the best hostess, greeting everyone when they arrived and, of course, inspecting every meal to be sure it was suitable. :D Carmen and Dale were so kind and flexible. Their farm is a delight, and they’ve made a high quality campground out of their land. Extremely clean bathroom and great cleaning station. (The shower is NOT hooked up, so don’t go expecting it.) I can’t wait to go back and continue exploring!

Where to go

Nairn Falls Provincial Park

Right in Pemberton, about five minutes from downtown, the crown jewel of this park is its 60-metre cascade, which tumbles, white and raucous, into a sapphire pool below. Walk the 1.5-kilometre trail to a viewpoint over the falls, and when you’re ready to cool off, take the two-kilometre trail to the swimming area at One Mile Lake.

Garibaldi Provincial Park

Just south on Highway 99, this massive, 1,800-square-kilometre park is named for the 2,678-metre Mount Garibaldi. Swim at five lakes, hike 90 kilometres of trail, cycle, climb, fish, or canoe—you won’t run out of outdoor options. And keep your eyes open for wolverines, cougars, and both black and grizzly bears.

Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park

Picture it—snow-capped peaks reflected in still waters—and you’ll get an idea of what this park is all about. Bike the eight-kilometre Birkenhead Lake Trail, fish for kokanee and rainbow trout, swim at the sandy beach, then hike to Goat Lookout for an overview of it all (and maybe spot a few goats along the way).

When to go

This part of the mountains can be complicated, with climate zones and weather systems varying wildly, even just a few kilometres apart. Like anywhere in this part of Canada, summer brings the best weather, especially if you plan to swim—cold, glacier-fed lakes finally warm up a bit by August. Early autumn is very pleasant although evenings cool off very quickly, and winters tend to be mild but rainy.

Know before you go

Highway 99—also known as the Sea-to-Sky Highway—connects Vancouver with Whistler and Pemberton. During weekends, especially in high season, it can be extremely busy.
Pemberton is a very small town, so it’s best to stock up on camping gear at one of the several shops in Whistler (or even better, a big store like Mountain Equipment Co-op in Vancouver).
If you’re looking for a night on the town, wash up and head to Whistler, just down the road for its dining, distilleries, and bars. But if you’re seeking solitude? Keep heading up the highway, which plunges into forest and peaks all the way to the horizon.
