Glamp camping is open until the end of September. (we provide everything except your food, drinks and personal items!) Enjoy the beautiful acres right on the Chilliwack River! A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. (no pets allowed for glamping) Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk. We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi. Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug. We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, and more! We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning. Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway. We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas. There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Chilliwack Lake is located 4km up the road and Chilliwack River is 500m from the property. The property's location offers a convenient gateway to numerous outdoor activities for it's guests including hiking, biking, boating, swimming, fishing, campfires (when there is no ban in effect), paddle boarding, off road exploring, etc.. The highlights of the Valley include the Lindeman/Greendrop/Flora Lake trails (trail head located 2km away), Mount Cheam Peak, and Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park.

Weekend Trip to An Experience!-Golden Ears Glamping

Greg and Shelly are extremely kind and have such a beautiful home! Very clean and LOTs of appliances and fun things to do in and on the property. They had dry firewood ready for use and the hottub was hot and well kept. We had hummingbird visitors and were able to go down to the river and see salmon swimming! We used the bbq that was full of propane also. We are returning guests and highly recommend visiting! They were so generous to invite us to stay longer past the check out time as there were no guests after us so we enjoyed being able to sleep in and pack up without rushing. Very happy to be up in such a gorgeous area. Don’t hesitate to book with them!

We had an amazing stay at Michael’s place! The cabin and the bathroom were super clean and well maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. The whole property is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature, and you can really feel the care and love put into every detail. Michael was such a kind and helpful host — friendly, responsive, and always making sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night, watching the stars, and just relaxing in the quiet atmosphere. It was the perfect getaway from the city, and we’ll definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

1 night at Lakewood Cabins

This was a pretty great little spot. The cabin is small, but it had a good setup with a hotplate, sink, fridge, & microwave. There was a big very comfortable mattress in the loft. The bathroom wasn’t too far away across the parking area and it was well maintained, with a flush toilet and a sink. Everything during my stay was very clean. I walked down to the lake, and it was about 10 minutes on a nice trail through the woods which meets up with the main road just before the lake. Property has a horse, goats and other animals. It’s quite a nice place, the host was very friendly and I will definitely be back in the summer.

When the lights come on at night, the vibe is magical. I had a cozy night by my propane fire and enjoyed the sound of the river!

I loved glamping on Lisa and James’ land! They are wonderful hosts, and I felt very welcome and comfortable during my stay. The property is beautiful - right by the river with mountain views you can enjoy from your private deck. The tent was amazing too! It’s set amongst the trees, which provide perfect shade on a hot, sunny day. I had everything I needed to cook, relax, and enjoy myself.

The property is beautiful with an amazing forest and stunning lake. Brent was very helpful (never met Sherri). I definitely wouldn't have booked the site if I knew it was up a steep driveway with about 3 switchbacks. I was driving a fully loaded old camper van pulling a small motorcycle trailer (also loaded with motorcycle and totes) and it was hard on the van, also had to back up and jackknife the trailer on a couple of the switchbacks. One suggestion I have (and already mentioned to Brent) is if they mark clearly on their main bio of the land that their driveway is not recommended for any kind of bigger units. Also if its wet, 4x4 would be better. Luckily it was dry when we arrived. I read through their page and didn't notice the one smaller spot they mention about the driveway. Brent was very helpful and also offered to pull my trailer down the driveway the next morning for us and that felt very supportive so he definitely made up for it! Haha. Thank you so much Brent for your kindness.

James and Lisa (and Zeus the dog!) were truly fantastic hosts, giving us a warm welcome into their beautiful and well-equipped campsite area. It was our 4-year-old's first camping experience, and I'd say she had a blast. Being so close to the Chilliwack River and having the chance to enjoy those stunning views is one of the things that make camping at Living Large so great. We would love to go back next summer and would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a wonderful family camping experience!
