Description

Whether you're a rugged backpacker doing the PCT or a car camper looking for somewhere to drop tent, take our word for it and give greenpeace a chance at Kennedy Meadows Campground. Spend your day at the nearby South Fork of the Kern River and catch some grub or hike one of the many breathtaking trails in the area. With vault toilets and occasional water, it may not be a five star hotel, but look up at night and we think you’ll give it about 2000.

Love camping in Kennedy Meadows! We stay at Fish Camp and really enjoy the large tree coverage and close proximity to the river. Great for fishing, hiking, awesome motorcycle rides! There's also OHV single track trails that are very popular. It's first come first serve for the campsites, so be prepared and get there early. There's also a cute general store that has showers and bathrooms.

It's in a canyon, so go for one of the campsites on the southwest side of the campground by the stream to get more morning light. You'll appreciate it when you're freezing your butt off in the morning, trust me.
