We had an amazing weekend at Cracknback Riverside Camping! The location was beautiful and peaceful — perfect for relaxing by the river. Ben was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to help with everything we needed. The facilities were well kept, and the atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming.

Loved our stay at this beautiful campsite. We had a spot just above the river. Short steep access to river. Suited for smaller setups. Heaps of room next level up. Water temp lovely for a swim.
Clean practical toilets and showers.
Would highly recommend staying here. Hope to be back one day.

We had a great time at Cracknback Riverside campground. There was plenty of space for our group of 12 to set up right next to the banks of the river. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and they had kayaks available for use scattered across the property which kept everyone entertained. The property has flushing toilets and solar powered hot showers a short walk away from the sites and plenty of fire pits available. Thank you Ben for being an amazing host!

Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Gets very windy in the evenings so prepared with you camping setup. Host are so friendly and made us feel welcome. Hot showers and toilets are great. Will definitely be back.

Great spot! Great amenities! And great people! Highly recommend this spot! Only thing: don’t come in from dorrigo / Armidale way. Go through Kempsey / Belbrook. The road from dorrigo way was dangerous, scary, and slow due to the tight and soft turns.

Get in early for a riverside spot on a long weekend. Paddocks are well maintained with simple but nice amenities. Beautiful sunsets and friendly hosts.

Absolutely loved the riverside camping. This was my first stay using Hipcamp and Beth was more than welcoming and helpful in assisting with any questions I had, and was very friendly when we got to the campsite. Will definitely be back again when it’s a little warmer for a swim.

This place is magical, the tranquillity, the views... We stayed 3 nights and had the place to ourselves the whole time.
You can tell that Beth and Ben put in alot love and effort into the place. The toilets and hot showers were clean. The drive is a litle rough, but it makes you slow down to enjoy the awesome scenery better!

We had a great time at crackenback. Amazing spot right on the beautiful Macleay River, surrounded by lush green mountains. Beth and Ben are lovely and checked in daily to make sure everything was alright. Great amenities too. Highly recommend.

Campground was awesome, ticked all our boxes. Hosts were super friendly & helpful. They greeted us when we arrived & came & said goodbye before we left. Would stay again! Our kids loved it too & place felt safe for them.

Overall we had a nice break from our busy lives, we were the only campers and hosts we're kind enough to mow some areas for our stay and access to the amenities.
Very isolated and little to no internet coverage which we didn't mind.
River was fast flowing and water a bit merky but we did manage a quick swim with our dog.
Despite the long and winding road around the cliff top, it was a great escape and opportunity to enjoy the quiet and get back to nature 😀

Lots of space. We had a crew of 4 cars including a trailer and caravan, with ample room.
Not a lot of trees around so make sure you bring shade.
Beth was very responsive and helpful. Great spot for the family.

We had the best time ever at CracknBack. The drive in is so stunning - its almost worth it just for the drive. Situated right on the river - fresh, clean flowing water to swim in all day. Verdant and healthy scenery - like something out of a fairytale.
Beth is super lovely and very accommodating. We will be back!

Camping at Cracknback over the weekend was extremely enjoyable! Beth was very accommodating during our stay and in addition to this, the property is very well maintained, has great facilities and has great views and easy access to the river. The serenity that this property provides whilst camping is invaluable. Highly recommended!

This was by far the best camp spot with the most beautiful clear river right on our doorstep. Beth and Ben were amazing to say the least helping us multiple times with dodgy fridge batteries and bringing ice to tide us over. We will definitely be returning in the future. Lush green river side camping spots with plenty of places to choose from, relaxing by the camp fire watching the fish jump listening to the birds was so peaceful it was almost surreal.

We loved our stay at the Cracknback campground. It was such a beautiful spot on the river and so relaxing. Beth is a wonderful host and very friendly. The road in is doable with a caravan, just take your time and you’ll be fine. Don’t forget to take shoes for the river. It is very rocky and can be slippery. There a kyacks for communal use and I suggest taking a lilow. We loved it so much, we ended up staying another night. They have hot showers and flushing toilets. We will definitely return. Do yourselves a favour and check it out.

This is a stunning camp ground, with clear fresh water swimming, easy access to the river, great sites (lots of nice grassy spots to choose from) and spectacular views. Beth and Ben were also very welcoming and accommodating! Thank-you!

My wife and I had a wonderful time camping on the river at this beautiful property. Sites were spacious and well spread out. River was pristine and easily accessible. Amenities and property are well maintained and easily accessible. Visiting and camping at this property is a must. Beats any spot on the east coast. Not crowded and overrun. Owners are very lovely and welcoming people.

Beautiful scheduled sit alone the River with great amenities and lush surrounds.
Beth and Ben were friendly and accomodating and help with delivering ice when needed! We loved kayaking and floating down the river. Campfires in the evenings and having the place to ourselves over Christmas
