Our working farm is located between Kempsey and Armidale in the beautiful Macleay Valley in the Northern Tablelands of NSW. We offer large, grassy campsites on the beautiful Macleay River and a modern amenities block with hot showers and flushing toilets. Choose your own campsite Additional guests welcome at $25 per head per night. Kids 5 - 15 years $5 per night. Under 5 years free **IMPORTANT INFORMATION** Roadworks will be occurring at Peedee Hill from now until July 2026. This will only affect campers travelling through Kempsey. Peedee Hill is 30 minutes from the campground and just over an hour from Kempsey. The road will be impassable Monday to Friday 9am – 3.30pm, Wednesdays 9am-2pm, Saturdays 8am – 1pm. If you leave Kempsey an hour before the road opens you will be able to drive straight through. Xmas. No roadworks from Sunday 21st December to Sunday 4th January. DO NOT USE GPS once on Kempsey Road! Because the road is closed on Live Traffic, GPS will take you into the back hills. From Kempsey 1.5 hours. Travel through Willawarrin, Bellbrook and continue straight for 32 kms until you see our signs on the left. From Armidale From the corner of Kempsey-Armidale Road and Waterfall Way, Cracknback is app 54km on the right. * Heaps of flat ground for kids to ride bikes * Watch tortoises and fish in the river * Dogs welcome (must be people, dog and cow friendly) * Free kayaks for use * Beautiful mountain ranges and such an open sky you can see the Milky Way! * Flushing toilets, hot showers * Family friendly * Fire pits provided but bring your own woodWelcome! Because the road is 'closed' on live traffic, GPS will send you into back roads. Stick to Kempsey-Armidale Road. Drive in a straight line until you see Cracknback signs. 31.5 km from Bellbrook pub on the left coming from Kempsey. 52 km from the corner of Waterfall Way and Armidale-Kempsey Rd on the right. Use UHF 17 if you have it. Please be aware that you will see a lot of 'residents only' and 'road closed' signs. We have permission to operate and you can legitimately use the road if you are coming to stay with us. Please drive carefully and aim to get here before dark if. We are on a narrow, winding dirt road. Don't drive over rock fall. It is sharp and will puncture tyres. Fire pits provided, but please bring your own wood. If your dog is viscous, chases wildlife, or is child/dog unfriendly or has to be restrained for these reasons, please don't bring them. Everyone has a right to feel safe. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog falls into one of these categories This is a 'leave no trace' property. We ask that you take all rubbish home and leave your site as pristine as you found it. This is a working farm and a work in progress! Welcome home
