The view of the lake is so beautiful from the moment you arrive. Waking up to it is even more special. The glamping tent was so comfortable and spacious. The facilities are just amazing for a camping experience. Walking and driving tours of the farm were very special. The hosts have a wealth of knowledge of the land the plants and trees and the wildlife. They were very generous in sharing and showing us their special place.

The bellbirds sing all day. The views over the lake are stunning. Early each morning we watched a platypus swim around the pond near the camp kitchen. The children loved the goats especially the babies. There are walking tracks to beautiful little waterfalls and also around the lake. The tents are really comfy and we had a fantastic time.

Our group of 20 hired all the glamping tents, cabin and some tent /campervan sites and settled into the bbq area as a communal kitchen overlooking the lake in the beautiful outdoors. We saw platypus every morning. The glamping tents were luxury and warm. Justin and mick were the absolute best hosts ever. They worked hard to make sure we did not want for anything. They shared the history and highlights of their amazing property and the entertained kids with feeding geese, and baby goats. It was a fantastic weekend and I can’t recommend it more highly

What a great sense of a secret escape By Gorge presents. The drama of the escarpment beside the facilities is immediate and only slightly diminished by the drought and lack of water over the falls. We had a terrific walk across country to the Oxley Wild Rivers NP walkways and lookouts, and were lucky to find a wombat hole through the fence. Probably better and safer to go by road.

Julie the hosts was very lovely and accommodating to all our needs. Always offering food eg, eggs, milk whatever we needed. My parter and I stayed for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. The lodging brought a nice peaceful atmosphere surrounded by beautiful plants and a private get away. The sauna and magnesium pool made the whole experience ten times better. The community kitchen had everything you needed. We met lots of lovely family’s at yarralen retreat. We also loved seeing all of Julie’s art work around the property as well as the beautiful paintings. Would 100% recommend this place. And we can’t wait to come back!! 😊

Beautiful property with little walks we could do with our pups on lead. Close to some stunning beaches and cafes. Very comfortable beds and well-appointed kitchen. As the name promised, a few roos and plenty of birds.

2 nights at Peppermint Flat Glamping

Peppermint falt glamping , where do I start what a spot 15/10 !! We stayed in the platypus lair , to the amazing tent set up which is like a small house , one of if not the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in , the amenities was superb , love love love .. Oh wait there , can't leave without saying I have ticked another ozzy jewl of my animal bucket list , just made my year , both nights we cooked up a storm , and sat down beside the river and had an outstanding moment veiwing your family of platypus whist having dinner, between the platypus, water dragons and turtles we were truly spoilt , and not to mention sum beefy owl on the first night , that we couldnt see but definitely knew they were present ... thanks again for allowing people to come enjoy your true peice of paradise. And can't wait to come back as we only scratched the surface on the stunning walks in the erea .. I can't recommend this place enough , all boxes ticked .....

This is our second stay at footprints, it was just a quick stopover but wish we could have stayed longer. The pre set up camper trailer was perfect and so comfortable! Such a beautiful, perfect, calm and relaxing place, we will definitely be making it our stop over or stay there whenever we have the chance. Thanks for making us feel such at home 🥰

2 nights at Yarralen Retreat

This is a beautiful retreat 😍 ✨️ the spaces, the stillness. Sauna, pool and Magnesium bath... there is a community kitchen which has everything needed. I stayed in a cabin/cottage which was comfortable and clean. Julie is a great host and I will definitely be coming back!

Lovely farm, couldn’t make the most of the area due to the rain but I’m excited to make this a regular stay on our annual trip from QLD to Tassie. Might even stay on the way back up in the new year! I need to try the sauna ASAP

Lucy’s place was incredible. The facilities were so clean and well thought out. the hot shower was amazing after swimming in the lake, and having the sauna was such a luxury touch. The whole property feels peaceful and private, and we had everything we needed for a really relaxing weekend. Lucy was so friendly and helpful, and made the whole stay feel easy and welcoming. Would 100% come back.
