THE DEPT - DPIRD - Agriculture - has advised us to stop campers bringing wood onto our property due to the outbreak of the SHOT HOLE BORER. It would be devastating if this dreadful bug should come this far. We appreciate your co-operation. Pinegrove is a small property of 107 acres nestled in the forest away from traffic and suburbia, 14 kilometers off the Brookton Highway. We run Merino sheep and have pure bred Border Collies for sheep work and dog trialing, which is Ivan's sport . It's a natural bush block with cleared areas. We welcome campers and people wanting to park their caravan or RV. Campfires are permitted (except when fire bans are on). Free firewood to collect. We ask that campers do not use the bush as a toilet please, this is not acceptable and please do not empty caravan toilets on any part of our property please. There is a toilet in the shed at the Homestead or please bring a portable toilet, We do have to limit the use of the toilet if our water supply runs low as we depend on rainwater for all our needs. We appreciate campers to be self contained if possible. Well behaved dogs are welcome, they should be on a lead if coming anywhere near the sheep or Homestead please. There are no swimming spots at our place, there is a pool in town which is 30 minutes away. There is plenty to see and do in the area such as Boyagin Rock you can climb, we are only 30 minutes from Brookton, 40 minutes from Beverley and about 45 minutes from York. You are also welcome to watch host Ivan training the sheepdogs!

This is a shady campsite, with trees and hills. Any type of camper, caravan or tent on this site there is plenty of room. Toilet is in the shed if necessary ( we are a bit short of water in summer and sometimes have to stop the use of toilet) your own toilet would be appreciated. There is no shower. Please BYO Drinking water, if extra is needed, please ask. Pinegrove is a small property with 6 camp sites separated from each other. You are free to take walks around the property or leave your camp site safely and take a trip to a nearby town or the forrest. Dogs on lead when near sheep or homestead please. The Camp site is large enough to cater for several caravans or more if required.

This was the perfect 2 night getaway in our camper trailer to rest and recharge. We stayed on site 2 which was flat, shady and pre-raked ready for our arrival. Although we couldn't have a campfire due to the time of year fire restrictions, this site would be perfect for when open fires are allowed. The sites are distanced far enough apart that you still have privacy.

Peaceful and quiet, no phone reception, uninterrupted views of the stars at night and woken to the sound of birds, could not have asked for more! Margery was very helpful and kind - I’ll definitely be back!

Our second visit, and will go back again for sure. Our dogs l9ve it there. Huge camp sites with plenty of flat areas for tents. Peaceful and pretty. During campfire season there's plenty of free wood. Margery and Ivan are the ideal hosts. There if you need them, but leave you to set up, spread out, and camp as you like it. Highly recommended.

Second review after a second stay, I have to highlight what a gem Margery is. After arriving to my site and realising it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, she was so accomodating and willing to swap me over to another available site. I stayed at site 4 this time and it was perfection. Surrounded by a ring of trees and rocks and nearby the dam that the sheep hang around. Felt very private and very green at this time of year. It is on quite a slope but I made it work with my tent set up. Did have some very noisy neighbours on the other side of the property playing loud music all night until mid next morning on both nights of my stay, which made getting a good nights sleep a challenge. Love thy neighbour folks, consideration and courtesy for each other ensures we all get what we are looking for during our stay. The sites are well spread but loud music travels. I will definitely be back again. I love this place. Not too far from Perth, beautiful scenery and lovely hosts.

One of the most relaxing places, the view and the scenery. It did rain and some wind however camp stood strong. Host are very accommodating and understanding, felt very welcomed. Heard no one and seen plenty of beautiful sheep and country. Will be back for sure.

A perfect place to unwind in the peace & quiet. Host Margery is just delightful & so accommodating. An unexpected delight to see the working dogs rounding up the sheep. Selfishly I don’t want to say how great this spot is but that’s not fair to Margey. 😂 Will definitely be returning. When making your way, the google directions say to take Gartell road. This will lead you onto Strange Rd but go past Gartell & the next road is Strange. Both are lovely dirt roads & leads you to the farm.

Everything I was looking for. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Nice host. Big sites well spaced from other campers. Free firewood to collect from fallen trees. My dog was welcome. Reasonable price. Within two hours of Perth. Having your own ablutions and water is advised. Lots of trees for shade, or sunny spots for solar panels. Highly recommended

Camping at Pinegrove Camping was lovely. Margery greeted us at the house and took us to our camping spot. The camping spots are spread out, so it does feel like there is no one else there. There was plenty of wood to start a fire, which was very necessary as it was a cold clear night. Overall, a lovely easy spot for a night of camping under the stars.

Was seeking somewhere for my first solo camp where I felt secluded but also safe and Margery and Ivan’s property ticked both boxes. There were other campers there but I couldn’t see or hear them from my site. Huge amount of space and privacy. Perfect peaceful escape. Also 2wd friendly, my Hyundai Getz had no trouble getting me there. Definitely recommend ☺️

When we arrived Ivan was training the dogs which was a great experience for the kids, we met Margery who was so welcoming and friendly. We stayed on site 1 on the hill, beautiful view. Kids could play and you could always see them. Rustic farming country camping.

We took a long weekend to stay at Margery and Ivan's beautiful property. The site we stayed at was very private, and after the initial meet and greet we didn't see a soul for the rest of our stay. Very peaceful and quiet. Great star gazing at night! We loved that it's dog friendly! Look forward to coming back some day.

Nice secluded spot. A bit dry and dusty this time of year as there’s been no rain so no grass around; very peaceful and quiet though. Having wood and a fire pit already there was a bonus and waking up to magpies chortling and kookaburras laughing was a beautiful sound❤️. Only disadvantage was that there was absolutely no Telstra reception so we were totally uncontactable and were unable to play any gentle music from Spotify during the evening which we would normally do.
