‼️ THE RIVER IS VERY LOW DUE THE HOT AND DRY WEATHER. IT HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED FLOWING AT RAPID CORNER AND IS REALLY LOW AT THE OTHER SITES PRIVATE SITES‼️ Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily. Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times). There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites. There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing. Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along. Unplug from everyday life, escape and reconnect with friends and family in nature.

Site 1 is the closest to the river (50m) with grass currently developing. It’s also pet friendly. The river is swimmable and you’re able to fish in it as well. If you’re lucky, you can catch cobblers and red fin perch. During marron season, you might get lucky with that as well. When campers come to Murray Valley Camping, they’ll have a true back-to-nature experience. It’s peaceful and full of tracks and getaway spots. Whether you’re into hiking, swimming, animal watching or just reading a book by the river, we cater to every lifestyle.

Beautiful fresh water hole, private surrounded by bush. Great designated fire pit with wood supplied. Visits from Black Cockatoos a bonus. Thank you for a relaxing stay

While we have been a few times now, we tried the hideaway spot. It was great until people pulled up camping directly opposite on the bank of the river. Had to keep the dogs on leads which was not what we had hoped for.

I loved camping at Murray Valley's land, site 6 was big, a lot of space and right on the river, great spot for a big group, or 2 households, next camping spot was far enough away to not have anyone next to you. It's very peaceful and remote, no reception just you the nature and stars, we loved it there.

An absolutely incredible camping spot — private, stunning and incredibly peaceful. Murray Valley Camping is hands-down our favourite place to stay. If you love having your own space, total privacy and not worrying about anyone camped next to you, this place is unbeatable. Highly recommend!

Great spot with spacious, drive-through sites that make access easy. Each site has a well-built shelter provided by the owners, which is a nice touch. Plenty of wildlife around and close access to the river adds to the experience. There is some noise from the nearby conveyor, but it’s noticeable rather than disruptive. Rubbish bins are also provided, which is convenient.

Beautiful spot! Host made you feel welcome. Can explore along the river bank, Rubbish bins provided, Amazing night sky views and yes you can hear the conveyor belt occasionally but certainly not an issue. We will be back

Loved the campsite, a great bush experience and you dont notice the other campsites near you. Plenty of space on the sites for a caravan and having your own shelter is a nice touch. Definitely recommend staying there. Hosts are very pleasant and come and say hello to check all is ok.

Had a great spot near to the river. Nice big site and access was easy enough with a 22ft van. Would love to visit again in the cooler months so we can get the fire pit going!

Overall we were disappointed with the camp site. For the money they are asking for, they offer nothing. Don't waste your money or time. If we had got there earlier we would of just moved on and found elsewhere to stay. What a let down.

Shady Nook
We loved our time at Shady Nook. As the name suggests, it has plenty of shade and lots of space so perfect if you’re camping with a group. It felt very private despite being nearby other sites and we especially loved the hand delivered eggs. The river is an easy walk from camp and we had it to ourselves for an incredible day swimming, paddling and relaxing. We highly recommend this hipcamp!

Hey i actually have not stayed here yet, we were meant to go however my wife ended up in hospital, so im thinking blown that one, when tge owners contacted me and gave us a credit which was really good of them. We are heading there on the 7th of Feb so will let you know. Although if its anything like reviews i have read, it should be really nice.

Great site with easy access (even for a caravan) down to a spot directly on the river. We had complete privacy and could disconnect and wind down with the family after a busy holiday period. We enjoyed the rope swing and had a pleasant overnighter. Will stay again, I am sure.

I was of the impression that my site was close to the river however, this was not the case and shows that the photo of our site was very misleading. Also $30 per night for no view and no amenities is very harsh.

We had a great time! Felt like real bush camping, but with the luxury of caravans. Easy access in and out. Site 1 was really big and fit everyone, with good distance away from the other sites. We somehow snagged the whole place to ourselves, so being down at the river was extra special. Site was well set up with a little shelter, large connect 4, and bins, and the little kids loved the trampoline by the river. Would definitely recommend! We got good weather, no flies or mozzies but was a bit dusty - totally worth it for a great weekend though.
