Moorcraft House, situated on 10 acres, has a secluded & peaceful 2-acre green paddock ready for you to camp in. We often have visiting kangaroos, lots of birds chirping & if we are fortunate, a peacock even roams through. It’s an 8-minute drive to the center of town & public facilities, but it’s very private & secure when you’re here. Once you arrive, drive down the short driveway under the trees, bear right on the gravel driveway, and follow it past the shed structure until you see the paddocks in the back and find a spot. Please note: there is only space for self-contained campers as there are no toilets on-site. There may be some thistles in the paddock, so please wear footwear at all times. We also have young children on the property—please keep dogs tied up. Happy camping!

Large quiet area. Beautifully kept. For $10 you can have a fire pit, kindling and wood delivered to your site. Highly recommend. Great hosts.

Green lawns and tree lined views, a beautiful spot to relax, with the added bonus of 5min drive into Albany. Enjoyed our 4 night stay, exploring this wonderful region, and would definately stay again when next this way.

A peaceful and quiet camping location. Plenty of space and lots of wildlife to observe. Friendly and accommodating host. Location is close to all tourist attractions and the city centre but far enough away to enjoy the serenity.

We loved camping here! Although we only had one evening, the paddock was large and there was one other group on the other side. It felt like we had the place to ourself, it was quiet, beautiful and peaceful. Close enough to town for convenience but far enough to feel like you are away from it all. We were welcomed as we drove in and both Irma and her husband we so friendly, lovely and welcoming. Will book again if I return to Albany again. Thank you!

We had such a lovely stay at Moorcroft House, set on a beautiful grassy paddock. The location is perfect—close to Albany, yet tucked away in a peaceful, quiet retreat. Irma was incredibly accommodating and communicated brilliantly throughout. Highly recommend for a simple, relaxing, and genuinely lovely stay in Albany.

Big grassy property with friendly owners! This Hipcamp is best if in a self contained camper. Close to all Albany stores and restaurants. Easy area to maneuver and flat grassy areas to park. We highly recommend!

Very neat and tidy property with miles of space and it was very peacful. Sofy green grass with Kangaroos at night. Irma was very welcoming. The property is very close to all the Albany area has to offer. We would definately recommend this Hipcamp to anyone visitng Albany.

We loved our stay at Moorcraft house. We had the whole freshly mowed paddock to ourselves, surrounded by beautiful tall trees. The location is also ideal for exploring Albany. Irma was also very responsive and accomodating and gave us a couple of good recommendations. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.
