Welcome to La Fiumara (Italian for “the river"), a 100-acre organic property just 10.5 km from Harvey, Western Australia. With easy access via sealed roads, this peaceful property offers numerous campsites, a meandering brook, and abundant wildlife. Spring-fed dams provide a sanctuary for a diverse range of birds, including Forest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos, Australian Ringneck Parrots (28s), Laughing Kookaburras, Musk Ducks, Cormorants, and Magpies. The land is organically managed, featuring over 400 hand-planted Minerva olive trees and 500 pecan trees, surrounded by native bushland. Whether you’re here to relax, explore, or reconnect with nature, La Fiumara offers a unique and tranquil experience. • Large bush campsites for tents, camper trailers, and off-road caravans. • Spectacular sunrise and sunset views. • WiFi access point available near Caretakers site for free use using Starlink. • There is no phone reception at or around the immediate farm/area. • Water available if needed. • Pet-friendly (must be controlled at all times; discuss with host if needed). • Firewood can be purchased via Extras at time of booking. ⚠️ BUSHFIRE SEASON: Open fires are not permitted during bushfire season. ⸻ Things to Do: • Unwind and relax in the peaceful surroundings. • Stroll through olive groves and pecan orchards. • Have a picnic or watch the ducks and birds at the Rockpool. • Ride or drive to Harvey Dam. • Explore Stirling Dam (approx. 8 km; gravel road). • Discover Harvey’s charming town centre, including Hotel, 2 IGA stores, wine bar and bottle shops. • Take a scenic drive to nearby towns: Bunbury (56 km) Busselton (100 km) Dunsborough (129 km)

This spacious campsite overlooks a seasonal creek and a small dam, nestled amongst shady creekside trees. During the winter and spring months, you can often hear and see the water flowing gently over the larger rocks — a peaceful backdrop to your stay. About 100 metres beyond the creek runs Stirling Dam Road, typically very quiet with minimal traffic, preserving the sense of seclusion. During the summer months, the site is shaded from the western sun in the late afternoon, making it a cool and comfortable place to relax. The site includes a rustic rock firepit, perfect for gathering around.

We loved our stay at La fiumara (over yonder site 7). Perfect spot to relax and unwind listen to the beautiful birds and forget about the outside world. The caretakers are welcoming, friendly and super helpful.

Campsite itself is inside the pecan tree orchard as described, with lovely outlook over rustic dam and rolling hillside. Access for large caravan is good, but site is on a slope, so you will need chocks or adjustable airbag suspension to level your van. Caretakers friendly and helpful. Site very quiet and peaceful. Five alpacas and a lamb for company, but they keep their distance from guests. Two camp chairs and a makeshift table provided for guests. Site access off the side road requires care for large vehicles and/or caravans. Easy travel distance to Harvey town and local sites of interest.

Over Yonder Site Seven
Loved our stay! Creek-side, grassed level area and no one else to be seen. Hidden down in a little valley, This is the ultimate "get away from everyone" type of stay. The hosts/caretakers were great and very informative when it came to the little walk trails around the property. We will definitely be heading back there soon 👌

A very quiet and relaxing location, with fantastic views. Sites are well spaced out, but in a way you can barely see them. Just make sure you have van levelers, the sites do slope down to the dam.

Rocky Nook Site Three
What an awesome spot, lovely camp hosts, thanks Tania & Billy . So relaxing listening to the water flowing over the rocks and watching the bird life. There is a road for local traffic close by but didn’t bother us at all. Our dog loved a bit of freedom in this campsite and was able to have a paddle in the water. We will definitely be back next year. The firewood bundle was great value. We had enough for 3 nights.

What a great weekend. A beautiful location beside a creek. plenty of privacy with the camping areas well separated. It was so nice sitting by the fire listening to the sounds of birds and the frogs all around... so nice.

Pecan site 6 was lovely. The whole place has been well cared for and the caretakers, Tanya and Billy couldn't have been more friendly and informative but also leaving you in peace to enjoy the tranquillity of your time away. We were lucky enough to be able to have a look at other sites as we arrived mid week and will definitely be back. 🥰

I’ve done a lap and a half of the country and stayed at many hip camps and this is amongst the best. Spacious sites positioned well away from others, beautiful scenery and animals. We booked site 5 in the pecan trees because it was the only one available at the time, and although it is probably the worst site out of the lot it was still an awesome camp site. It’s just that some of the others are 5 to 6 star sites! Only issue is there was no level ground on our site so it’s not ideal for roof top tents / camper vans unless you have some decent wheel blocks to level up. Hosts were awesome and the firewood deal is a must. You get your moneys worth!

We had a fabulous stay at La Fiumara. Billy and Tanya were so welcoming and provided tips on how to position the van for best view and comfort. Loved the alpacas and the pet sheep...such personalities. Very green and pretty in October. Will definitely be back.

We loved camping at Pecan Place Six at La Fiumara Olive Farm! We parked near the water and the views were stunning. The directions and communication was very clear and response to any questions were answered very quickly. Cannot recommend this highly enough and can’t wait to go back.

We loved our weekend camping at spring-view site 4. The site was spacious and had plenty of room for our 15ft van. We had beautiful views from every angle. There was lots to explore around the property. Ground wasn’t very level, so don’t forget leveling blocks! Would love to stay again in the future.

Beautiful property close to Harvey. Stunning views and abundant birdlife. The spacious, mown grass site had a log seating, a rock edged fire pit and shelter for firewood. Secondary seating and fire area at the top of the hill offered awesome sunset views and a lovely sunny spot in the early morning. Loved not having a phone signal allowing time to properly switch off at this fully off-grid site. However wifi is available in one area of the property if you need to connect. Trailer needed some levelling but otherwise couldn’t fault this tranquil place. Thank you for a wonderful few days.

This particular site is super private and in a really beautiful setting. We were lucky enough to have a little babbling brook all to ourselves. Bird life is unbelievable! This is the second visit to this Hipcamp, the caretakers are lovely and warm hosts. If you are looking to relax, look no further. Highly recommend

Pecan Site Six – A Hidden Gem! What an incredible spot! Pecan Site Six was the perfect escape—peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. The views through the trees and over the dam were absolutely beautiful, especially at sunrise and sunset. The hosts were amazing—super friendly and welcoming, and they’ve clearly put a lot of thought into making the site comfortable and well-maintained. It felt like a little slice of paradise. Whether you’re just stopping through or staying a few nights, this site is ideal for anyone who loves being close to nature without sacrificing comfort. Can’t wait to come back Thanks Tanya and Billy
