It was a great location to what I wanted to experience in the Shenandoah valley. Close to the park and some local fishing access to the rivers.

My friends and I had a lovely time camping here! Clear directions, easy to find, and very close to Shenandoah. Taz was very helpful and kind. Would absolutely recommend staying here especially if you plan to hike in Shenandoah. Hightop Mountain via Appalachian Trail was about a 20 minute drive away.

Taz has a great spot here. Plenty of firewood, plenty of space to move around, and a great stay for anyone visiting the area partaking in the park, or the many things to do in this area. Doggo friendly also!!

Had a lovely night car camping! The property is sandwiched between two roads so there is a little road noise - but it's not bad at all and it was otherwise quiet and peaceful. Port-a-potty is clean and well maintained, didn't stink like some do and was only a short walk from any of the sites. Host was kind and easy to communicate with, and provided very clear directions so camp was easy to find! Would stay again :)

Enjoyed my stay. The site was perfect for my van. The stars at night are spectacular. The location is convenient to Dollar General and Wawa for groceries and gas. Also close to Skyline Drive and SNP.

Great location against our needs! Taz was helpful and responsive. Pretty significant traffic noise well into the evening , but no big deal. Tons of free firewood!

I loved car camping at Taz’s spot! As a solo traveler the spot was perfect, you couldn’t see my setup from the road (even with the leaves off of the trees) but I still felt safe enough with how close I was to houses. The picnic table and fire pit were a huge bonus and there was a surplus of available firewood, which just made things so easy for me! I wanted a spot in between the Shenandoah and Harrisonburg and this was perfect. Taz was super great with communication and answered all the questions I had. The port-o-potty was also surprisingly clean and had plenty of TP and plastic bags if needed. I’ll definitely be back when I come back to the park!

The campsite was easy to find and the port-o-John was such a nice amenity to have! It came stocked with ample toilet paper, had good ventilation, and had a pleasant lavender scented tree freshener as an added touch. It’s the little things! The ground was paved so I didn’t have to worry about leveling it out before setting up my tent, plus it was a good size, easily fit a 4-person tent!

My Fiancee and I loved tent camping at site 3! Taz is a wonderful host who has really created a great space for a getaway that's proximate to great hikes and a lovely town!
The site itself is very clean, has ample firewood (free, to Taz's detriment), thoughtful and not-too-close site spacing, and a great location! The spaces are very clean, well laid-out, and it's easy to forget how close to town you are. There's a tad bit of road noise, but this is definitely balanced out by the great location. You're proximate to tons of trails and a very nice town with great food/drinks/people just a few minutes away.
Taz herself is a wonderful and thoughtful host. If she's around, you should definitely spend a few minutes chatting with her and hearing some of her stories!
Overall, Taz has built a great Basecamp to spend a weekend (or however long) enjoying a fantastic mountain area and very cute town!

Did a nice job of cleaning the leaves off the site and providing ample firewood. Well located if you are looking for a place to land while mtn bike riding Western Slope. Located between busy roads, so convenient to a lot but also a bit loud from all the traffic.

Taz’s land was perfect for our group of 4 with 2 dogs. The picnic table and fire pit were so great to have. Taz chopped a bunch of firewood for us before we arrived, so we had plenty. We were able to park our 2 cars with no issue and it was pretty easy to find with good communication and instructions from Taz. There is a busy road very close that you can hear but we got used to it and it was worth it for a site that is reasonably priced, has nice amenities and is so close to SNP

Taz was an awesome and communicative host. We were arriving late and had limited cell reception and she made sure we could find our spot. It's private and primitive which we wanted. There is a road nearby and could hear traffic but we didn't mind. It was perfect for what we wanted. She went above and beyond for us!

My group and I had a great experience at the Vanner location. We had plenty of room to set up two tents and lots of firewood to find around us. Taz was extremely polite and quick to respond, and even allowed us to use her kayaks. The site itself was very nice and extremely close to the Shenandoah park, making it a superb location if you plan on hiking in the park often. The vanner site itself is very close to a busy road, so you should expect to hear the road pretty often. My group and I were completely fine with the background noise, but do expect it to be pretty busy at all hours of the day. All in all, the location was extremely convenient, provided plenty of space to set up, and had a great host. I highly recommend the spot!

I had an awesome time at Tamara (Taz’s) place! She was super friendly and let us use her paddleboards to explore the river nearby. It was a blast! The site had a picnic table, firepit and a clean porta potty

Great place to car camp or pitch a tent! Friendly host, I would recommend renting a kayak or paddleboard. My morning on the kayak viewing the mountains made my trip 100x better. She has some great recommendations for spots and is knowledgeable on the area!
