"Window to the Wetlands" campsite is located on the outskirts of Kyabram, on 4 acres opposite the Kyabram Fauna Park Lakes. The site provides a great experience for nature enthusiasts and families alike. It is a unique experience for lots of reasons; Natural birdlife experience: Relax under the flight path and observe 100’s of Ibis, at dusk and dawn. (Accompanied by flying foxes in the Summer/Spring). Campers can access an elevated platform to sit and observe habitat views of various native waterbirds in the wetlands. Walking access (600m) to entry of Kyabram Fauna Park (Zoos Victoria). Enabling multiple visits at differing times throughout the day. Lots of activities on your doorstop, as the campground is nestled between the Fauna Park Lakes, Grey Box Reserve and Ern Miles Reserve. Offering a unique opportunity to enjoy various walking trails, spotting 100's of native bird species. The town walking/cycle path is at your front gate, so bring your bikes/scooters. Or pack the clubs to enjoy a round at the picturesque 18-hole, Par 3 Parkland Golf Course. Starry Nights: Enjoy vast and unobstructed views of the magnificent night sky, whilst enjoying the simplicity of nature around the communal campfire. We have 7 large, grassed campsites (22m x 15m) to accommodate all types of caravans. RV's , tents and camping vehicles. Check in: After 12 pm Check out: Before 11 am The campground is secluded and secure, the campground entrance gates are closed at night-time. FACILITIES AVAILABLE: - Each site has potable water connection. - Shade port - Rubbered base floor Amenities available on-site; - Portable toilets, - Hot showers, - Fully equipped Camp kitchen includes; Fridge/freezer, Microwave, kettle, toaster, hotplate, BBQ, crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils etc. Kids games. - Communal fire pit, but also access to smaller fire-pits. (Depending on shire restrictions) - Some firewood available. (Free) Dogs are welcome, but must remain under control and on leash AT ALL TIMES, as hosts also have farm animals, in surrounding paddocks. Hosts also have working dogs which are contained within host property. Recycle bin available No generators permitted. A Caravan Dump point is located at Kyabram Fauna Park (600m away)

Site 4 provides an established campsite for guests who want to experience camping without the hassle. Just bring own linen, blanket/sleeping bags and food. Amenities include; - Soft-floor camping trailer. - Stainless pull-out kitchen inc. sink. Drawers contain crockery, cutlery and glassware for 6. - 50 litre pull out fridge. (recommend bring own esky) - Queen sized bed, underbed cupboards. - 1 single stretcher if required - Outdoor setting (6). - Portable Colman 3 burner BBQ inc. Frypan, Kettle & saucepan. - Potable water tap - Fire pit & wood. (Based fire restrictions) - Ample shelter with two shade ports over large, rubberised floor. - Secluded site with bamboo privacy screening. - Easy access to portable toilet. - Rubbish bins provided. - Solar panel for 12-volt lightening.

Such a great spot for camping in Kyabram. Within walking distance to fauna park. Great amenities with toilets and showers and each camp spot has its own free-standing shelter. There is plenty of room for the kids to run around and play. It was lovely waking up to all the bird noises in the morning. Carmel was such a great host, very thoughtful and checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely time at Window to the Wetlands! Carmel was very warm, welcoming, and accommodating. We liked the intimate feel to the site while still having access to amenities. The kids had so much fun riding their bikes around and playing sports, they didn’t want to leave.

Site 4 -Pelican: Camping Trailer
The camping areas are huge clean and have wonderful undercover areas. The bathrooms are clean and modern. There’s a personal touch and little thoughtful things everywhere. The hosts are amazing, so friendly kind and approachable. We had 2 tents, 2 camping trailers, a trailer and a 4WD and still had room around us. There’s an assortment of farm animals and wildlife to see. The chickens were super cute and inquisitive. We came with all our camping gear but could have left 90% of it at home. There’s a walking/bike trail right out the front into town. The kids loved to ride scooters down to the shops and lovely local bakery. Right near the Fauna Park, a short walk away. Free firewood and excellent fire pits were great at night. Everything was nice and clean and the drinking water tastes great. The land is very flat and well maintained. The grass is lush and green. There is a lovely little hill with a chair you can watch flocks of birds fly over into the wetlands of an evening. Very quiet area and surrounding streets are quiet. It was very peaceful. This is now our new favourite camp grounds. We will definitely be back again and again. Highly recommend! 10/10 stars!

The campsite was immaculate - equipped with a shelter and firepit with firewood was provided at the site. There were also flushable toilets and clean showers which took the camping experience to another level. In case you have forgotten any supplies, there are shops within a 5 minute distance. The host, Carmel, was wonderful and a very pleasant person. She was communicative before and during the trip and it was lovely chatting with her during our stay. 5/5

This has got to be our favorite—so private and spacious. Carmel, the owner, is incredibly thoughtful; she even greeted us when we arrived and saw us off when we left. There are only 7 sites, and we were lucky enough to snag the premium one 🤭—definitely the best spot! The communal kitchen is super convenient, and the kids loved the toys provided. The bathrooms are so nice, you almost forget you’re camping. We also enjoyed the communal firepit, perfect for gathering with fellow campers. And the spot itself? Stunning—great views of the birds and stars!! Can’t wait to come back!

We loved our 2 nights here, Carmel is a absolute delight and so helpful and friendly. The showers were hot with great pressure, all the facilities are spotless. Our three little dogs loved it too. Highly recommended.

My Sons first camping trip experience and it definitely won him over. Carmel and Pete were great hosts. The site and amenities are some of the best I’ve come across in my travels. Showers and bathrooms better than most homes. The flaunts and fauna zoo right across the road was a great bonus. Will definitely be back

Great spot for birdwatching, raised wall and bench seating make for a great view into the wetlands at sunrise and sunset. Fantastic hosts with well equipped camp kitchen and facilities. Would definitely recommend to others, especially if you’re visiting the fauna park- great location. Walking/bike trail right at the door.

The campsite was very well equipped and welcoming, 5 minute walk up the road is the Kyabram fauna park and 5 minute walk down the road is Ern Miles reserve. If you like birding then look no further than this ripper spot. I will be back ✌️

We stayed at the Egret site at Carmel's place. We got to see many birds returning home in the evening and there are other animals around too, our border collie loved it! Not only that, it's a well-equipped place, shower, kitchen, BBQ, and everything else we needed. Clean and tidy environment. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time at Window to the Wetlands! The site and amenities were clean and well maintained. It was spacious, our kids enjoyed playing on the flat grassy area. Carmel is so thoughtful and very welcoming. She even booked us closer to the amenities as we have younger kids. Highly recommend! We'll be back again.

This place is great for 1st time campers or families. Flat grassy area that has running water (drinking water), fire pits and shade at each site. Shared communal kitchen with fridge, microwave. Numerous toilets and showers. Plenty of amenities to keep everyone comfortable. Host were very friendly and lent us a table when we realised we left our at home. Will be back again in the future ✌🏼

First time Hipcampers, but we're worried the bar has been set too high now! Carmel is a sensational host... she has literally thought of everything to make the camping experience comfortable and memorable. Our family had a wonderful time at her beautiful property. She went out of her way to ensure we had what we needed to have a great break... Even giving us bananas to bake in the fire, access to unlimited firewood, kitchen basics, and just being a lovely, warm person who came to check on us each afternoon. Thank you so much, Carmel! We loved staying at your place.

We had a wonderful time. Entry was straightforward, it was easy to work out which site was ours and Carmel greeted us shortly after. We had heaps of space to ourselves, with plenty of shared amenities to go around on a busy public holiday. It is a nice quiet site with lots of birds chirping and we even saw some kangaroos across the road at one point. Honestly, I can't flaw it. We'll be back.

Carmel and Peter are great hosts who gave us a warm welcome. The sites are flat and green. The shelter on each site is a bonus, providing shade from the sun, or in our case, shelter from the rain! The facilities are great…camp kitchen, toilets and a clean, modern full en-suite was a bonus. The kids enjoyed the Fauna park just across the road and watching the birds fly overhead to/from the wetlands. Had a great stay and would highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Carmel’s camping ground on New Years Eve. She and Peter have thought of everything and have made such a lovely and calming spot for people to enjoy. The facilities were a real added touch that made it a care free stay.

This is such a lovely spot with the wetlands across the road - watching hundreds of water birds come in to roost at sunset was a real treat. The camping area was flat and grassed with generous sized campsites, and the shower and camp kitchen added an extra touch of comfort. I would definitely recommend and would happily return.
