Lovely private campsite with beautiful views! Really well maintained & great amenities. We enjoyed our stay despite the weather, and will be back again when it’s less windy. The dog enjoyed herself too!

We loved this campsite as it was a perfect getaway for our dogs. The clearing was mowed and clean. While cooking dinner in the fire pit, the evening sun was shaded by the trees.
Our dogs were able to roam free within the spacious site so we didn’t have to worry (too much). They enjoyed swimming in the little pond as well to cool off from the afternoon sun.

We had such a wonderful time away! The site is incredibly private, with no other campers to share the space with, which made it the perfect spot to truly relax. Our two dogs had so much room to explore and enjoy themselves, which made the trip even more enjoyable for all of us.
The amenities were a fantastic bonus. Having water on site and a porta loo made our stay really comfortable and convenient. The firepit area was lovely to sit around, and the extra logs and seats made it feel cosy and inviting. The picnic table was another great touch, giving us a perfect spot to sit, enjoy the views, and soak up the surroundings.
Thank you so much for hosting us. We had such a special stay and cannot wait to come back again!

This beautiful campsite boasts a large fire pit and a clean toilet. My dog thoroughly enjoyed the ample space to run around and even took a dip in the dam. I highly recommend this place.

second time at this lovely site, and this time with the addition of a toilet! this is just the perfect spot, beautiful scenery and close to so many things to do from the lake, wineries and towns, we will be back again and again :-))

So peaceful, you are really out in the country. The stars were out for us and the fire pit was roaring. Close to town and the lovely brewery. A perfect weekend.

Lovely, peaceful spot with good view. Site felt clean, spacious and private, and had plenty shade for our tent and swag. We enjoyed our three nights here, my son liked riding his bike around the field and climbing trees. The birdwatching was unexpectedly good thanks to the huge old tree in the middle of the site. I saw a new bird. Vaughan was friendly, helpful and thoughtful, even with a last minute request. I do recommend.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I’d been saving this spot for the right time (a dark sky night) and it was so worth it!
The first night was cloudy and rained for the first time in months, but then the 2nd was absolutely stunning. Worth the wait!
The site is fantastic, we camp with three dogs and there was so much room and privacy it was lovely. Drinking water provided too -such a nice touch. The grounds with the picnic table and the benches around the fire pit lovely too.
Can’t wait to come back with a couple more friends and a couple more dogs more amazing nights under the stars.
Also thank-you, thank-you , thank-you to Vaughan, who came out early in the morning to jump start my car when the battery died. What a gentleman I am so grateful!

Vaughan has been extremely helpful pre and post booking, answering any of my questions and concerns and replying back instantly -
The property itself is great, giant flat surface space - with the 1 gallons worth of water to use which is quite helpful and something we didn't have to stress about was a big plus and a clean toilet which is quite helpful too
It is about 7-10 mins from the nearest town incase you run out of food, but Vaughan being the legend himself offered to provide food so we don't have to travel out. We will be coming back soon :)

Beautiful and isolated site with a 1000L supply of potable water, little swimming area for the dogs, and a surprising amount of shade given the very open feeling and beautiful views.
Vaughan didn't have a working loo when we went, but he was upfront about it as soon as we booked and offered a refund in case we didn't have our own. As it is, we do have one so this wasn't an issue and we had a lovely trip. The loo should be fixed soon so if you're reading this now to book then chances are it'll be all sorted.

We loved being here for a 3 night stay in the camper trailer. So much space and plenty of seclusion. Perfect place to look at the stars being so dark. Bike rides on dirt road outside were great.

Lovely little spot.
Perfectly hidden away location with a combination of wide open spaces for the dogs to run around, and plenty of trees for shade.
Isolated away from all the main roads, but close enough to the town of Heathcote and surrounds to enjoy some local eateries and sightseeeing.
Vaughan was a lovely host, great communicator, very helpful and accomodating.

Great private site. It was pretty flat between the trees which was great. Our shepherd loved the dam and had lots of room to for zoomies! It was quite windy the day we went and because of the open space it can get a bit too much. We'd love to come back, especially on a milder day!

Absolutely amazing spot, very private, plenty of space.
Easy to get into, we had a 19'6 van and had no issues, gravel roads going in but very easy and open.
Very generous with the firewood if you opt to get some. Can swim in the dam, surprisingly very deep too.
Blue Wren taxis can pick you up from the gate (book at least a day in advance) and the juniper lounge is a must if you like good food, music and gin.
We will be back for sure.

Country sunset stargazing camp
We stayed 3 nights here & wanted to just sit back & relax. This was exactly what this place is. It was great that our dog could venture around not having to be leashed constantly. The sunsets were amazing. Vaughan also supplied access to water, although we didn’t need it, in the hotter months it would come in very handy. Highly recommend Vaughan’s property for a sit back & relax weekend getaway.

This place was perfect for our weekend away, great flat site with fire pit and plenty of room. 10mins away from Heathcote and plenty of Wineries.
We managed to get one clear night and the stars were amazing.

We had two lovely nights at Vaughan’s beautiful property, and safe to say we will be regulars! Beautiful scenery (the stargazing is unreal!), lovely helpful hosts and so close to lots of things to do for day trips. The drinking water, picnic table and massive fire pit were awesome amenities that we were very grateful for. Ground was very flat as well so no issues fiddling with levels! Would recommend this spot to anyone. Thanks Vaughan! 🏕️☀️

Amazing spot close to Heathcote. Lots of space great for our kids and dog to explore. Nights were clear so many stars out. Camp area very clean grass had been slashed in and around the camp-site. The fire pit and seating area was perfect. There is a dam which would be perfect in summer. Will definitely add it to the list and book again.
