We boast a beautiful campground in a fantastic location in Stratford. Right on the Avon River and near local shops, this is a beautiful and relaxed campground to switch off and enjoy the scenery. Stratford on the River Tourist Park is a small, peaceful, family run caravan park just a 5 minute stroll from the centre of town and conveniently situated 2 – 3 hours from Melbourne at the beginning of the Gippsland Lakes region.

We had such a lovely Easter weekend at Stratford Caravan Park. The powered site was ideal for our tent setup/ caravan and the whole place had a calm, welcoming vibe. It was peaceful, family-friendly, and just what we needed to unwind. The kids loved exploring the nature trails and spotting birds and animals, and we all enjoyed evenings around the campfire. One of the highlights was the walking trail along the Avon River, pure bliss! So quiet and scenic, it really made us slow down and soak it all in. It’s also a great spot for short drives and fishing trips. Simple comforts, stunning nature, and genuine relaxation. we’ll definitely be back.

Well kept grassy site with ample space. Clean facilities with decent showers and friendly helpful staff. The availability of fire pits and picnic tables was a bonus as was the proximity to the river for cooling down on a hot day.

Loved camping here on the unpowered site. Everyone was so lovely that we met, the site was perfect for our little set up. It was super relaxing, such a lovely town! The showers and toilets were always clean. Nice little kitchen area with a nice bbq area too. The river is absolutely beautiful and the walks around the area are really beautiful too. Will definitely be coming back, glad we chose to camp in Stratford :)
