Such a beautiful spot and the dams were more like billabongs with fish and greenery and birdlife and raucous frogs at night! Highly recommend

it’s our second time back and we had a great time. This is still one of our favourite camping spots, the kids love the animals, forest and small dam to paddle in. The hosts Darren and Louise are the best!!

The open flat by the singing tree is set on a massive block of land, so there's plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the peaceful bush surroundings. It's also full of character, with chickens, dogs, alpacas, and goats roaming around. The animals were a real highlight—super cute and added to the relaxing, farm-stay feel of the place.
If you’re after a quiet, private, and slightly quirky getaway with welcoming hosts and a real connection to nature, I’d definitely recommend this spot.

Wood and firepit supplied,
caught a feed of yabbies, nets supplied. Boat, kayak to try and catch the elusive trouts,

We had a fantastic stay at Open Flat. Darren and Louise were wonderful. Made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Kids were able to use their canoe and Louise brought over a totem tennis set for everyone to play with. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will be back.

We were there for Easter 2025, and Darren and Louise made us very welcome. It's exactly what it said in the description, and exactly what we were after. We had no issues with the tents and on stretchers, but the ground may be an issue if you were sleeping directly on it. Nice separation between sites.
Benji the dog had fun getting in the dam and sniffing through the bush. All up, a very enjoyable time. We will be looking to return for another stay.

Super friendly hosts - Darren and Louise! Kudos to Darren and Louise for keeping their property very genuine as possible. The landscape and site was more than we expected. Very kid friendly. Darren was informative when explaining about his property. The short walk to the dam and the farm animals on their property was a highlight for my kids. Our day trips to Inglewood and nearby towns was amazing! We also had a full day at the famous Bendigo festival which was a treat in itself. Wishing Darren and Louise the best, and hope to see them again! :)

Stayed at bush hideaway over the weekend and it was a very pleasant stay. Felt very remote and secluded even though town was only 5 minutes away with local foodworks. There was a little bit of road noise, but we were well sheltered by the bush and it wasn't very frequent traffic so all was well. Louise was very nice and made us fell welcomed. Can't recommended highly enough and I'll be back 100%.

I we stayed at singing trees and camped on open flats went there with my wife and my daughter and the grandchildren and had such an excellent time it was such a good place to stay the host Darren was excellent brought some fruit to try some honey and some eggs . Highly recommend staying there as a base camp or just to relax and enjoy the countryside thanks heaps for sharing your property with us Ray and Tania

Perfect camping site for my family! We enjoyed our experience here very much and wish we stayed longer! We love the privacy and felt safe throughout our stay. The host is very nice and generous for letting us check out late without additional charges! Highly recommended and I already told my friends about this beautiful place!

We had a fantastic time at Singing tree. The kids loved catching yabbies, Louise and Darren took us on the ATV to feed the goats and ducks and the dogs had the best time seeing all of the farm. Louise brought us down some fresh eggs and honey 🤤 straight from the farm!
We are all absolutely exhausted but had a magnificent time!

Had an awesome stay over Nye! Darren went thr extra mile to make sure the spots were all ready and wetted down to minimise the dust before we arrived. The dam was a welcome respite in the hot sun and even has some boats to play around in! Darren and his wife are fantastic people and great to have a yarn with. Great stay, would highly recommend.

We loved our overnight stop at Singing Tree. Darren was a super star host. Our two young boys loved rowing the boats in the dams, yabbying and having a a go at fishing. Darren provided firewood, offered us to feed the goats and a small jar of honey. We would definitely love to come back one day.

My partner and I are so lucky to have a spot to ourselves. This place is so serene and picture perfect. Even had our tent open overnight sleeping underneath the stars! Darren is an amazing host and was happy to let us help him feed his goats and get closer to the alpacas! We just needed quick spot to stay the night, and we got more than we bargained for! 10/10 🤩

Sit was well maintained and there was plenty to do with their chooks and goats. Our dog lived in the dam and loved the freedom to explore. Darren and Louise were great hosts and even dropped off some fresh eggs and honey. Looking forward to heading back.

Great place to camp and an even better host, Lovely spot up to back of the property plenty of room. Darren and Louise were great hosts, lent us some fishing rods so the kids could try their luck in the Dam and gave us some farm fresh eggs, along with plenty of firewood.
Couldn't recommend it more highly. Thanks Again guys.

Such a beautiful spot! Surrounded by trees for privacy and a beautiful dam makes for an idyllic setting especially at sunset. Thank you so much Darren for your generous and friendly hospitality. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend!

We had a great stay with the family at Singing Tree our hosts Darren and Louise were fantastic hosts, the highlight of our trip was our 4 year old catching a fish from one of their dams and being able to get eggs from the chicken coup and a jar of honey from their beehives, Darren kept checking that we had enough firewood and we are very grateful to be able to share their beautiful property, we definitely recommend this farm stay

My wife and I had a great time tent camping on Darren's property. There was plenty of space and privacy, great views and easy access to the dam for fishing, kayaking and letting our Labrador cool off for a swim. Cooking over the camp fire at night was great.
