Located on the picturesque Nowa Nowa arm of Lake Tyers. Our hobby farm offers 3 beautiful large campsites (1 van per site) only 20 metres from the waters edge. OUR CAMPSITES DO NOT HAVE TOILET OR SHOWER FACILITIES. ALL WASTE AND RUBBISH MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU ON DEPARTURE. Pets are welcome but we have chickens and alpacas on the property so please ensure your pets are restrained and don't upset the other animals. We have a fire pits for campers to relax around in the evenings. We can provide firewood for first night ($15) and additional firewood can be purchased from the general store (fundraiser for local CFA). Generators are allowed but only for limited time to charge essential equipment. No generators are allowed to run non stop and not between 9pm and 9am. if you are going to use a generator please inform other campers. Only a 5 minute walk to the NOWA NOWA GENERAL STORE/Post Office. You can get local fishing information from the friendly staff, stock up on fuel, great coffee and groceries, wine/beer, fishing tackle, bait, fire wood and more without having to drive! Only a 5 minute walk to Mingling Waters which has transformed its cafe into a rustic bar housing Jack Ramsdells iconic wooden sculptures and showcasing the history of Nowa Nowa in wall murals. Hearty meals and tap beer with indoor and outdoor dining options. Live music on weekends. Offering lunch from Thursdays to Sundays and Dinner Thursday through to Saturdays. We are within easy reach of the EAST GIPPSLAND RAIL TRAIL which is popular for both bike riders and walkers. There are plenty of other great bushwalking tracks nearby as well. It's just a short drive to the beautiful seaside town of LAKES ENTRANCE where they have supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, great fresh seafood and lovely beaches. BRUTHEN is only a 20 minute drive. BRUTHEN HOTEL, Cafes. The BUCHAN CAVES RESERVE is another short drive. Picnic spots, camping ground, walking tracks and a variety of flora and fauna, including koalas, over forty species of birds, kangaroos and currawongs. Home of textiles. Local honey and home made jams and biscuits. Espresso coffee and turmeric latte. Handcrafted textiles, jewellery and more. We are within easy reach of the East Gippsland rail trail which is popular for both bike riders and walkers. A lovely getaway for our family of 6. We took our camper trailer and were warmly welcomed by the host. Location perfect. Site was well maintain and included drinkable water and fire pit. There is an undercover selection of extras (kayaks, bikes, helmets, tennis rackets, hula hoops, grape fruit) that added much fun to the weekend. Kids loved riding up and around the corner to the BMX track or the tennis courts & playground. 12 min ride or 4 min drive to the Nowa Nowa Mountain Bike Track. Get place to camp in Nowa Nowa.

Nowa Nowa Lakeside Farmlet
We had an amazing stay camping on Mike’s property. The site offered complete privacy when booking all three sites, which made it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. There was clean, fresh water readily available, and the facilities went above and beyond—bikes, kayaks, and other amenities were all on hand and easy to use. Mike and his wife were extremely accommodating, kind, and welcoming, which really made the experience special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable, private, and well-equipped camping stay.

A nice quite camp site with a lake right in front and river just across the road with plenty of fishing spots, easy to get the provided kayaks to river or bike ride or walk along the rail trail, A short walk to cafe/pub and general store and boat ramp 500m away. Fantastic service, from host we will definitely be back!

This is by far one of our favourite camp spots, great location so close to cool little towns to explore. Our hosts were amazing, so helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. Great spot for young kids and so much space to each campsite

Host was lovely, meeting us on arrival and checking in with us during the stay. Property is close to the East Gippsland Rail Trail, river and a 5-10min walk to a cafe/ pub and general store.

We had a great stay. Mike and Trudy were very lovely people. The grounds are extremely well maintained with drinking water available was a plus. Bikes and kayak available at no extra cost with a great river and trails to explore. Would definitely return.

Mike is a great host and really helpful. The place is clean, tidy, and well-maintained, which made our stay really comfortable. Nowa Nowa is just about 20 minutes from Lakes Entrance, so it’s a convenient spot to explore the area. There are kayaks and bikes available to use, which is a nice bonus, even though we didn’t get the chance to try them all. Mike also provided a detailed map showing the trails and hiking routes nearby, which was really useful for planning our days. Overall, it’s a really nice spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

We had a great 10 day stay here. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. We used this hipcamp as a base for some day trips, the caves, lakes, raymond island and marlo but it was also lovely for chill days. General store with public toilets, mingling waters for food, the bike track. Pur first time hvaing grapefruit and fresh fsrm eggs! We all really enjoyed our time here, thank you Mike and Trudie.

We stayed at Nowa Nowa Farmlet during peak season and had a lovely time. Our site was next to the chickens, which were a bit noisy at dawn and dusk, but feeding them scraps and watching them was a hit with the kids. The kids also enjoyed kayaking on the river across the road (a mix of salt and fresh water). You can hear traffic from the nearby freeway, and there were always other campers around, but it still felt friendly and relaxed. Great location with lots to do within 45 minutes. Mike was very friendly and checked in on us. A great spot for families.

Great spot ! Plenty of space, nice and peaceful. The extras of the kayaks and bikes is a big bonus but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to use them. Great stay thank you.

We recently returned to Nowa Nowa, and not even the rain could dampen our spirits! There was plenty to keep everyone entertained — from jumping off the jetty and stand-up paddle boarding to bird watching and tackling the BMX track. The kids (and the kids at heart) had an absolute blast. It’s a fantastic spot for families, and we love that our fur babies were welcome too. A great place to relax, explore, and make lasting memories!

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The position is quiet and plenty of room. Close to the river and enjoyed the early morning kayaking and bike rides on equipment on hand. Close enough to town to walk and benefit from facilities but close enough away to have privacy and peace. The bird life was amazing as well.

We were a group of 6 camping together and we had a wonderful time. It was private and exclusive. We dealt with Mike’s wife and she was very kind and friendly. Lots of activity opportunities and Mike got canoe and bikes available. We will definitely come again for a relaxing break.

What a gem of a host Mike is! I rolled up in my 6-meter campervan, and his land welcomed me like an old friend—no fuss, just easy access If you’re itching for adventure, Mike’s got you covered with bikes and canoes ready to roll and those who prefer walking, well, there's plenty of walking tracks. The area is very enchanting and when night falls, those firepits spark up a cozy, soul-warming ambience. Loved it!

Great location, just 20m from the water. Great host, they gave use some fruit from there trees. (We forgot to take them). Firewood was delivered by host. Only negative we had and it wasn’t that bad, was the traffic, but it was a long weekend.

I enjoyed solo camping on Mike's property with my dog. We had access to the lake just across the road for kayaking and fishing. There are walks close by and a fire pit for a good fire. The site was flat and easy to access. It was a nice, relaxing time.

Mike was an absolute delight! We spent a night parked here and had a great time exploring the town on the bikes provided the next morning. We even went for a morning kayak on the river, which was super fun. While there was a bit of traffic noise from the main road at night, overall it was a lovely stay. We also enjoyed some delicious grapefruits and mandarins—so sweet of the hosts.

We had a great couple of days camping at Mike’s property in Nowa Nowa. Mike’s friendly and helpful and communicated well. The ground is reasonably flat and has nice views over a wetland on the property. Short walk or drive to the local pub -open Thurs to Sun-, general store and public toilets. Lake arm is next to property too. You can borrow bikes or kayaks to explore the area. We visited to see some live music put on by the friendly townsfolk as part of Nowa Nowa Live. Great place to stay for that! Thanks Mike!

Great place to set up for a few days. There’s plenty of room on all three sites. It’s walking distance to the local bar/cafe and general store. The property backs onto the walkway and river.

The spot looked lovely - just by the river- however definitely not suitable for big rigs - as its sandy- Mike tried his best to be helpful but we ended up staying in the side of the road

Mike’s camp site was incredible. One of the most peaceful places we’ve ever been. Mike is also the coolest guy ever (joined us for a pint, shared local tips etc)! Highly recommend stopping here!

We absolutely loved our stay in Nowa Nowa. Such a cute little hidden gem this small town & such a good spot for camping with it being a simple town but having all that you need & having the river too. I haven’t been camping in years & absolutely loved it (didn’t want to leave & the 3 nights went way too quickly!) We had lots of rain the first half unfortunately (not in anyone’s control) but when the weather cleared up for us & the sun was out it was so wholesome & peaceful there. The tennis courts next door & the kayaks were a massive bonus for us! Nice bush walks nearby too. The pub which is a 5 min walk from the campsite did an amazing chicken schnitzel! Mike & his partner (owners of the property) were both so welcoming, accommodating & friendly to us & made us feel very comfortable there. We also got lucky as we came at an off peak time & got all 3 sites to ourselves for most of the trip! We definitely want to come back! Thank you so much for our stay.
