Camp on a flat, grassy site on our hobby farm in Mount Egerton. There are horse & ponies. Relax at your camp which is shaded by pine trees or enjoy swimming and paddling on the large dam. You will love the beautiful view of the rolling hills. There are great attractions nearby; Lal Lal Falls, state forest, Moorabool Falls walking track and state parks. Mount Egerton is a rural village 80 km north-west of Melbourne, about 10 km south of the Western Freeway. The nearest town is Gordon, a few kilometres to the north. In the 1980s it gained a tourist attraction with the Yuulong lavender farm. The township has a school , an oval, a general store, a Uniting church and a public hall. There is a formed road to the summit of the Mount. Just 25 minutes from Ballarat, 1.2 hours from Melbourne. NB: Campsites are in a 5acre private paddock which can easily accommodate family/friend groups. Additional people $10 per night with children under 12yrs free. If your group is larger than 10 no other bookings will be taken for the duration of your stay so the campsite will be yours to enjoy in privacy.
