Gordens track camping grounds is located right on the fringe of the Alberton West state forest. This is an excellent place for mountain/dirtbike and horse riders. You could ride though the forest for days and not see all of it. the campsites are all shaded by gums and provide and excellent place relax by nature! Within the camping ground we have campsite 1 . Jakes Hut Jakes Hut an old corrugated hut that provides great shelter from the elements and gives you the experience of roughing like they did back in the old days with a few modern twist! campsite 2. The Stock Yards The Stock Yards camping area is a great little campsite roughly 40x80m it provides plenty of shade and shelter. perfect for small groups! Campsite 3. Inlet view Inlet view has 3 sites available suits bigger larger tv/ caravans or large groups of tent campers. Plenty of shade and beautiful views. RULES Campfires are welcome but only in the fire pits provided. (Pending Fire Resrictions) Pets are allowed off leash but if they chase livestock please have them on leash. No rubbish is to be left behind.

Jakes Hut is a small corrugated iron hut built on the edge of the Alberton west state Forest. 15 minutes south west of Yarram. Get the entire block to yourself ! Lock the gate when you leave and have peace of mind knowing your belongings are secure! The Alberton state Forest is well known for its excellent bush tracks. The hut is also located a short 10 minute drive from Port Albert and 20 minutes from both Port Welshpool and Woodside beach. Tarra bulga nation park isn't far either so you will always find something to do. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed off leash but if they chase livestock please have them on a leash. (Please note toilet is not available for hire on our site at the moment & and you must bring your own)

We have a large camping area suitable for all types of self contained campers. This site is shared with 2 others spread over a 1.5 acre block overlocking the inlet from Wilsons Promontory to Port albert. Each site has there own fire pit with a large communal fire pit in the center. Site 1 - best views less shelter. Site 2- less views. Great shelter/shade. Site 3 - has abit of both. All campsites are great. And everyone has access to the large communal fire pit with excellent views. We recommend only 2 caravans per site maximum.

Would suit 1-2 self contained caravans or multiple tent campers. Great spot if you enjoy mountain bike/motor bike riding as Alberton west forest is know for is great trails. The Brumby camp site. This site is for self contained campers. It is fairly private and sheltered with lots of shade. Horses. This is the only campsite we allow you to bring a horse. Bring your horse and enjoy the riding trails throughout Alberton west state forest Horses must be kept in temporary fencing within the designated paddock Please add each horse as an extra when booking.

Jake's Hut was a great spot to spend the weekend camping. The fire pit was great to cook on and the indoor fire kept the hut nice and cosy on a cold night. Close to Port Albert and Port Welshpool for fishing, exploring and letting the dog 🐕 run on the beach. Would recommend.

We stayed at Inlet view 1, 4 x adults, 2 dogs staying in 2 x 9m caravans, both fitted fine on the site. Good clean place, sites are pretty level, very peaceful in the bush setting. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

It was a pleasant experience, good communication from Steff and Dylan; directions were clear and campsite was relatively easy to get to. Suitable for 2WD vehicles. Spent a night @ Inlet View; best view out of all the spots on the campsite in my opinion. Decent mix of shade and no shade, however the site was not very flat. As stated in listing, there is no toilet nor water. Overall a very pleasant stay!

We loved the privacy of the hut with its very warm fire & solar lighting. We appreciated some wood left for our first night & also brought so with us & used it as well. There is lots of kindling, bird life & very close to the rail trail. We’d definitely be happy to stay again if passing this way.

Brumby Camp
Me and my husband slept so peacefully at Steff & Dylan's land. The place was not hard to find and we felt calm and enjoy the green forest. We love to come back there in future!

I think this was our sixth time at Jake's Hut. We love it here and so does our dog. It's lovely and peaceful. The indoor and outdoor fires are a huge bonus too. We had a huge Goanna visit us this time which was rather special. Communication is always great with Steff and Dylan and the directions are very easy to follow.

Really great spot! Easy to find, nearby to servo/shops, cool seeing all the cows and that. Only criticism is there is not too much shelter from the elements, we got unlucky with windy and wet conditions. Otherwise had a great stay.

One of the best hip-camps we've stayed at. Really nice to have a designated fenced area to ourselves surrounding by gum trees. There was a big pile of firewood provided for free, which was a really nice touch. Great location, about an hour from Wilsons Prom, 45min from Turra Bulga National Park and 30mins to the start of 90mile beach. Loved it!

Wonderful bushland site with beautiful farming views. Amazing typical Australian experience with kangaroos and echidnas at your door of a morning. Lovely bush walk with beautiful gum trees for shade. Totally recommend.

It was a great quiet, private spot. It wouldn't be a camp without the campfire, in the provided fire pit. Close to the coast as well as being nestled next to a state park. Plenty to do. Be prepared, you have to take everything with you, as there are no amenities. It's off grid.

If you’re after a nice, quiet and clean campsite i highly recommend camping here! We camped for 3 nights and was amazed by how much beautiful grass, room and quiet this campsite was. About an hour to wilson’s prom if you’re wanting a touristy destination and 15 mins from a woolies in Yarram, we could not fault this campsite and will 100% be back!

Was great having the whole yard for myself & my dog. There was no real view though as there were at least 50 large round haybales blocking the view, which did provide privacy from other campers. Land is on about a 40 degree slope. Was lots of lovely green grass. I had no one camping either side so it was lovely.

We loved this camp spot. Not too far from town but it felt nice and secluded enough. We enjoyed the camp fire amenities and view over the paddock. Would definitely recommend this spot. Thanks Steph and Dylan

Brumby Camp
We loved our week at Brumby Camp over Xmas/New year period. The 6 sites are all well spaced and we found Brumby very private. The site is flat and large enough for big vans or groups. We had an excellent fire pit supplied, being the lowest site it was well sheltered from any wind and gave plenty of afternoon shade from the hot sun. We did lots of day trips to placed like: Port Albert for the New years eve fireworks and fish n chips on the pier. Port Welshpool and the long jetty. Tarra falls & Tarra Bulga NP for a walk through the rainforest. Reeves Beach & McGaurans Beach. Some 4wding in the adjacent State forest. Yarram had a variety of shops and a decent Woolworths, also a clean dump point and potable water at the recreation reserve. Our hosts Steff & Dylan were great communicators right from the first enquiry, had a few good chats. it was nice to meet them, just a charming young country couple. I was recommended this hipcamp by a work colleague and i would not hesitate to recommend this hipcamp to anyone wanting to explore the area or just get away from the Hustle and bustle of life.
