The most gorgeous and private site, near a beautiful lake! amenities for everything you’d need including a fire pit (can also buy firewood) we only stayed for one night but wish it was longer, reminded us the true beauty in camping!
The hosts are super lovely too with knowledge of the area and full of recommendations! anyone considering this place, book it!!!!!

Our favourite camping spot in Victoria!
The view in evening is amazing, canoeing on the lake for adults and kids , flushing toilet and a shower, relaxing and private site.
We will Definitely come back .

I done want to write this as everyone else will come :). Our favourite camping spot in Victoria. Privacy, views, amenities (toilet, shower, mini bar fridge, microwave, running water), dog friendly, awesome fire pit and excellent, excellent hosts. It glamping not camping!!!

What a spectacular spot on Lake Keilambete! Just one site so go on your own or take some friends as we did plus our puppy dog. Fenced off one acre section so perfect to take your furry friends. Bruce popped down for a chat which was great...nice bloke sharing his beautiful property! It is fairly exposed to the elements so go prepared. The facilities were really great....nice and clean. We will definitely be back!

Amazing site, one with the lot, from the views over the lake, private and peaceful, to the facilities. A flushing toilet, shower, kitchen including microwave and fridge. Huge fire pit to sit around and star gaze. Bruce was friendly, helpful and directions were easy to follow. Cannot wait to stay again.

This site was honestly incredible, the weather decided to be pretty close to perfect. Waking up to the view of the lake plenty of space for my dog to run around and explore I can’t say enough good things about this site. Highly recommend it and I will definitely be booking it again in the warmer months to enjoy the lake

The lake is so beautiful and quiet！ Bruce is nice host to show me around the campsite. The toilet is clean . This is very nice campsite，perfect for weekend trip. Definitely come back again！

We loved the view, but unfortunately, when we arrived, the weather was absolutely terrible. We got a bit too wet and encountered some hazards on the second day. We decided to leave earlier and had to tow ourselves out from the campsite because the ground was too wet and slippery for our car. I would definitely book again, but only for days with good weather.

Such a nice place to stay! Very quiet and secluded. Area has been leveled out and set up well, so tent and car camping is easy.
Flushing toilet, portable water from tap, hot water and shower, little kitchenette with appliances (kettle, microwave, toaster). Fire pit provided is large and has a hot plate attached if needed (can buy crate of firewood + kindling if required as well). Awesome view of the lake and a small pier to stand on.
Would recommend a 4x4 if going during winter, or has rained a bit beforehand as way down was quite slippery (was for us, but went very slow. Host said will have more gravel/rock laid eventually to help).
Overall, awesome place! Will definitely come again 😁

My friends and I had a great weekend camping at Faraway Lodge! Was a great location, excellent scenery and plenty of space. Bonus not having anyone else around. Without a doubt we will go again!

It was one of the best if not the best sites we have been to through Himcamp. The site itself is very large and beautiful, overlooking the lake. Sunrise and sunset views were amazing. It's gated, very secured for the dogs. The amenities were great. It has a good flushed toilet and hot shower. There was a fridge, microwave, electric kettle and toaster to use as well. I loved that there was a dog bowl under the tank, we didn't need to get water bowls out for our dogs during the day. The lake is great for kayaking and our dogs enjoyed swimming too. Bruce was very responsive. Their little Doggos were very cute and visited us in the morning, out dogs had fun playing with them.

What an absolute gem of a spot! Absolutely perfect, with not a single negative word to say. We were greeted and led down the banks of the lake to the private camp spot (we were the only ones there so had the whole place to ourselves!). Sunset over the lake was amazing, followed by a high pressure warm shower! Couldn’t really ask for more!
Thanks Bruce + Others, will definitely recommend to friends and family.

This place is great. So peaceful, gorgeous views of the lake and paddocks. The little hut with shower, toilet, and mini kitchen with mini fridge - amazing addition. Big fire pit with hot plate. Absolute heaven.
Definitely bring shade as it’s completely open so would be hard in warmer times of year without it.
Ladies!! I had my first solo camp here, it’s ideal. If you’ve ever wanted to camp by yourself but felt nervous/vulnerable - this is the place. Because there’s only one site, you feel totally isolated but safe at the same time. 360 degree views. Fenced camp section so no larger animals can get near your tent.

We loved staying at Faraway Lodge. Perfect serenity and excellent hosts. Our favourite Hipcamp. Beautiful green level camp and excellent facilities. Our dog was very welcome and also loved her safe and secure stay. We will be back.

Great location. We brought some rain with us so didn't have the best weather but still managed to get a fire started with a little help from Austin.
The property was just as described, the hut being a welcome haven from the rain.
Would love to return.

Two friends and I took a total of four dogs camping at Bruce’s property. We had an amazing time! It is well kept, facilities are as described, even better! The fire pit is amazing! Only thing to know is you need to be careful if your dogs try and drink the water as it is incredibly salty and make them vomit. Our dogs only had to taste it once and they didn’t go back! Highly recommend we will be returning with our doggies!

Bruce and Michelle are the most amazing people we met during Hipcamp! We feel so welcomed on their farm. We LOVE everything about this campsite. I have never had a favourite campsite so far, but Faraway Lodge is my favourite now!

Lovely secluded and completely private location away from main house, beautiful view of the lake which was really fun to kayak on. The sound of the gentle waves was so nice to fall asleep to. Dog-friendly and my dog adored the place. Host was friendly too.

I recently stayed at this super chill campsite, and it was exactly what I needed. It had such a relaxed vibe, with cows just hanging out nearby, which made everything feel calm and laid-back. It was the perfect spot to just kick back and enjoy being outdoors.
The best part was the salt lake with a jetty that stretched out into the water. It was so peaceful, and the jetty was the perfect place to just sit and take in the views.
The shed had a fridge, kettle, sink and all with hot rain water.
The fire pit was located close to the shed and the land was flat.
If you’re looking for a low-key, beautiful location, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Bruce is a great host. The land is private and well maintained. The water, although not able to put your head under for the salt, is still refreshing. As long as you can bring your own Sun/rain shelter, the site is great.
