Absolutely fantastic caravan park that is well maintained. [Imported from Google Reviews]
Absolutely fantastic caravan park that is well maintained. Would definitely stay here again. See my notes below (for both the caravan park and future guests).
Staff
- Friendly and welcoming.
Check In and Check Out
- Brilliant that check in is from 11:00am (rather than the normal 2:00pm). Check out is 10:00am.
Site
- We stay in an unpowered site that was spacious and along the tree line.
- It's a fair way from the amenities so if you aren't keen on walking, bring a portable toilet and/or a bike or a scooter (not electric as they are not permitted).
- There is no water available for unpowered sites so ensure your water is topped up in your campervan/caravan before arriving. If staying in a tent, bring bottles to fill up with water from the taps near the amenities. Unsure if the water is suitable for drinking. We used this water for washing dishes and boiling water for pasta.
Amenities
- There are three amenities blocks which are cleaned often.
Cafe
- There is a cafe onsite that offers coffee, cold drinks, hot food, ice cream, gelato, bread from Bakers Delight and other items such as tomato sauce, mustard etc.
Cocktail/Mocktail Van
- There is a cocktail van onsite some of the time called Gypsy Belle. We had a French Martini and a Pineapple Mojito for $20 each.
Basil and Oregano Pizza Truck
- There is a pizza truck onsite some of the time which serve amazing wood-fired pizzas. We ordered the Margherita ($21) and the Prosciutto ($25) pizza's and wow! Do not pass up the opportunity to order pizza's if you're at the park when the truck is.
Birds
- If you're bird lovers like my partner and I, you'll love that there are a lot of Australia Ibis, magpies and superb fairy wrens at the park (particularly in the unpowered area).
Other Facilities
- There are other facilities at the caravan park. However, I am not commenting on those that I did not utilise or use. Refer to the caravan park's website for further details.
G'Day Parks
- The only thing I wish my partner and I knew when he made the booking was that this is a G'Day Park. We would have provided our membership number and received a small discount.
