Bay Park Adventure Centre

We enjoyed a week in a tent at the scout camp, and are very grateful they're willing to share the place with others. Plenty of gas-fired instant hot water for the showers, potable water, and it felt safe and secure. Although on 80 acres, the allocated Hipcamp area was in the south east corner, near Hearn Rd and Park Rd. There's an urban bus stop in Hearn Rd ~250m from the camp entrance.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bay Park, the amenities were clean and the park was lovely and quiet. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t playing fair so would love to go back again when it is warmer.

Beautiful spot close to the bay but away from the crowds. Staff are friendly and helpful, it was a great stay, however there are very limited flat spots to park. Would be fine if you are in a tent

In the middle of the bush, in the middle of suburbia! Close to the beach and shops for supplies if needed. Plenty of space, but flat ground is limited. Heaps of ground wood to keep you warm and big fire drums to burn it in. Hot water was patchy, but grateful for toilets and showers that were there. Comms were great and were made to feel welcome, thankyou.

Loved our mini stay - quiet and relaxing. Lots of space and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Lovely and peaceful. Would have loved to extend, but had to get back to the daily ‘grind’. We did have some trouble figuring out how to get the water hot, not sure if that is a permanent issue - didn’t reach out to the hosts as we were too relaxed to worry about it! We had a fantastic stay at Bay Park. The site was spacious and peaceful, offering plenty of room to spread out and relax. The facilities were spotless and clearly very new, which made the experience even more comfortable. Our host was friendly and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised to find power available, even though only a water tap was listed in the description - a great bonus! Another highlight was the generous firewood bundle, which easily lasted us four nights and kept the campfire going strong. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a well-maintained, quiet escape with thoughtful touches.

The site is clean and easy access, only concern is music allow time , it should be no more music play after 11pm , but quite a few people keep playing after midnight which made the people unable to sleep so if anyone can have some control with this that would be great

Loved pur stay at the Bay Park and qlukd definitely go back for longer stays as we didnt get to use any of the kids' activities. We love the Bay Park for its easy access to the beach and shops, as well as for the huge sites and the tranquillity despite being very close to the town centre; it beats the foreshore campgrounds around the area anytime of the day! Kids love the communal fireplace have made friends during our brief stay. The shower was on the colder side; it wasnt an issue for such a brief stay, but thought we'd mention it for management review. Loved the personalised welcome where I didnt even have to step out of the car nor wait to be taken to our site.

The campsite was really good! Would definitely go again. We packed things the day before and were worried about how it would turn out, but we got a fire package and everything turned out really well. And the camp area was nicely secluded with a sense of wilderness and adventure, but still feeling safe and communal. SLAYYYED!!

Great Campsite! Instructions on arrival were a little confusing, but once we got in contact, we were lead to our spot. We added a fire barrel, without wood (we had our own) and it was lovely!! Big thanks to the staff at Bay Park!!

The Cottage

This is not my style to complain but the accommodation was terrible. It was dirty, with the fridge and dishes all covered in food grime. No dishwashing liquid to clean it. The couch felt filthy, someone’s undies under the bed. Dead cockroaches and spiders around the place. We only stayed one night because it was so bad. No key to lock the place either. No channels on the TV. The rest of the activities were so run down and not maintained. The fire was nice and truly that was about it. We had to laugh, or cry.

Michelle and Anthony were fantastic and flexible with arrival time and support with firewood and access to a fire pit. My son and I had such a lovely (but brief) stay here. The site was easy to access and close to facilities, which made things stress-free, but still had that “away from it all” feeling. A perfect, low-pressure introduction to camping for little ones.

It was a lovely spot, the host was great and made sure to offer me a great site, really enjoyed the fire and serenity. Some bathroom facilities are currently under renovations with temporary facilities available meanwhile. Make sure you know the tracks to get in and out if you're prone to navigational challenge! 100% would come back and recommend. Thanks!

Best campsite I've ever been to! Plenty of hot showers, and clean toilets. Also lots of activities to entertain the little-ys. We used the obstacle course, and enjoyed the Flying fox. There was also a BMX track, mini golf and kayaking available, which we didn't use, only because we ran out of time! We also enjoyed using the firepit at our campsite. Can't wait to go back again!

Fun and serene

My partner and I had a fantastic time at bay park scouts camp! The campsite was very soft from the pine needles on the floor, and green grass. We camped in cooler weather and only had one other camper near us, which was perfect. Michelle was very helpful and generous, answering all my texts about using different facilities, and sending a map so we could do a later check in and pick which campsite we wanted between a couple options she indicated on the map. We bought the fire barrel and wood extras and this was provided by the ranger when we got there. We also asked for more wood a few days in which was supplied at no extra cost. The park has lots of activities, my partner and I did mini golf and rode on the BMX track, both of which the park supplies the equipment for you. We didn’t pay any extra to use these activities or equipment. Michelle also offered to arrange for us to do archery but we ran out of time at no fault to Michelle. The whole experience was amazing and we will definitely be back!

This is the second time we camping here. It was bit crazy we tested our tent over a raining weekend. The site was flat and the portable toilet and shower were very clean. Although it was raining, we had good time.

Decided to pay extra for this site above a caravan park as it was advertised with toilets and shower block, hot shower and quiet woodland site. Sadly toilets were portable loos and no shower block in site. Place was adequate (meaning it was a place to park for the night) but for the money, the free site we came from the night before was far superior. We opted for firewood to save us the hassle, but was so green, it smoked us out: we gave up and went to bed at 7:00 defeated. Block wasn’t level which made cooking fun, the magpie was about the best part. May have been more enjoyable in good weather, but it was cold, wet, smokey and miserable with no hot shower 😕
