Lovely spot by the dam, and greatly appreciated the convenience of facilities. Kids had a ball and it was the ideal location to head off on day trips.

Beautiful spot on the banks of main dam 1 site.
The wildlife, ducks and frogs, were a bit rowdy overnight so bring earplugs if you are bothered by that.
Kim was a great host a there when we needed him. The site was clean and facilities were well maintained.

We had an amazing time tent camping over the long weekend on Kim’s beautiful property! He was so welcoming when we arrived and had moved us to a better spot which was available - so awesome. Plenty of firewood, bins and a clean toilet close by. Nature is loud at night so pack some earplugs but other than that couldn’t have asked for anything else. We’ll be recommending this place to our mates for sure and might even come back ourselves!

We loved this spot, its our second visit to Alpine Breeze, Kim is a great host & very welcoming, he keeps the property well maintained, so quiet and peaceful, high recommended.

We stayed for 2 night next to the dam on the property, Kim the host was very welcoming and helpful, large site, plenty of firewood provided. We have a 3.3t offroad van, wouldn't recommend going up old Tolmie Rd, it's about 10km of climbing

Loved the serenity of the place, immersed ourselves in nature and Kim was super friendly and helpful. We had a relaxing time overlooking the lake with a fire pit. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Kim's place with our camper trailer so fairly self sufficient though we had use of the toilet which was a few mins walk. The campsite was very private and peaceful and quite a distance from the other campsites. There was plenty of firewood at the property and we also got some eggs from Kim - the freshest and largest we've ever had .
We were not far from Mansfield, Mt Buller and Whitfield so got to do plenty of cycling and hiking on the trails nearby. And of course a visit to Stringybark Creek for some Ned Kelly history.

Beautiful spot, we ended up camping near the bigger dam as there were a few of us. Kim was very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Kim is a fantastic host, best host I’ve come across on Hipcamp and just an all round good person!
We stayed at Stockman’s Rest, the area was huge, it had green, soft grass and heaps of flat areas to setup on. Plenty of fallen trees you can collect for fire wood, if you can’t be bothered collecting wood, you can purchase already chopped up, split wood from Kim 👌🏾
We definitely felt secluded from the other group, couldn’t see them at all! There was a toilet just 5 minute walk away, toilet was very clean and well setup with an area to wash your hands at.
There was a garden patch with plenty of veggies and flowers which was wonderful for the kids to walk around and explore in.
We loved our stay at Alpine Breeze, Stockman’s Rest camp site, we will definitely be back!

Kim was a wonderful host. He has created a beautiful and tranquil setting where nature is respected and the land is cared for with pride. His work is truly outstanding. We loved being surrounded by nature, enjoyed peaceful walks, and spent lazy days gazing out over the billabong, listening to and watching the birds in their daily routine.
Thank you for the recommendation regarding the Mountain View Hotel in Whitfield; the food there was absolutely delicious.

Kim is an amazing, welcoming host. We absolutely loved our stay at Alpine Breeze, the lakeside site.
Sites are so well taken care of, and beautifully positioned on Kim’s land, nestled in amongst beautiful gums, with fire rings, tables and chairs always nearby. We’ll be back!

I loved staying at Alpine Breeze, Kim is s a great host, he got us firewood and bins. We enjoyed the dam and some kayaking. It’s a very peaceful spot. A little pricey for similar hip camps I have stayed but maybe that was due to the Australia long weekend.

Kim was lovely, he met us at the gate and escorted us up to the site, he was very accommodating, offering to bring us more fire wood if we felt we needed it. The site amenities were great a simple chair and table and a fantastic raised firepit with hot plates.
The dam is big enough for a paddle & swim but the billabong isn’t suitable for either, we stayed at the billabong site up on the hill where we received a refreshing breeze off the dam most of the time. We BYO’d our own loo so we were quite happy to just chill on the hill when not exploring the area. We highly recommend Kim’s property

Alpine Breeze was amazing and highly recommended to anyone who looks for serenity and quiet time away from the city. Our host Kim was very friendly and welcoming. He dropped by and make sure we have everything we needed. We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay, like the view with the dam, bonfire and stargazing at night, sound of birds, lovely dog (Bob) who likes to play fetch, adorable chooks and ducks, we cannot ask for more. Thanks very much.

Kim is absolutely a gem of a guy and his property is super serene. We had booked the billabong and he offered for us to camp near the main dam with beautiful water views and easily accessible dam water. Out NYE was made magical by the million stars in the night sky and we had the privilege of seeing Kim’s garden and amazing flowers. Totally worth the stay.

Alpine Breeze was fantastic . We had a camp spot just on the banks of the lake… it was positioned so well. Lots of space to spread out and plenty of room for the kids and dogs to run about. The views of the lake and surrounding bushland were stunning. Kim was very friendly and helpful on arrival and was available should we need him during our stay … we had a fun and relaxing 4 days of family camping definitely enhanced by the surrounds … highly recommend as a fantastic place to camp ….

Gorgeous view from our camp site and my dogs had plenty of room to run around. Plenty of firewood on the property and perfectly located next to the billabong. Included a fire pit and table and bench seat. Kim was responsive, helpful and was happy to help anyway he could. Roads to site were steep in spots depending on the track taken but my old CRV plus trailer made it up there no worries. Do yourself a favour and book a site at Kim's property.
