Site 2 - Gypsy Moon RV Park
I love the land and being so close to water. There were chickens and wildlife which were fun! The site was nice and the hookups worked great! Amy is very friendly and I would stay again!

Site 3 - Gypsy Moon RV Park
We really enjoyed our time at Gypsy Moon. The kids loved chasing the chickens in the morning. The campfires at night were an experience I know they will remember for years to come. It’s quiet and remote, just what we were looking for.

Relaxing at Chicken Run
We were in the campsite called Chicken Run. It was appropriately named as the most beautiful chickens strutted about their habitat and near us. Once they checked us out, they went on about their business. We enjoyed the sounds of jumping fish, the stars and the campfire.
Amy was the most accommodating hostess! She had us escorted to our site, brought us firewood, showed us the layout and even gave us a jump after our battery died.
It is tough to find something so peaceful near DFW and I’m grateful to Amy and her crew for their hospitality!

Magical✨
I visited mid March. I enjoyed the wonderful energy and I loved the lush grass against the budding trees. The land seems so fertile and the houses on stilts was amazing. Amy was accommodating and kind. I will definitely be back:)

Great host and tent site
A very sweet accommodating host who placed us at the side of the house which in my opinion was the best site for tents on ground. We had our own private fishing area, plenty of dead wood kindling we could use to keep our fire going in the cold mornings and nights, and a nice cozy cupped area hugged by trees with an absolutely perfect view of the river. My kids loved stopping by the horses pen and my 7 year old daughter nick named her Nae Nae. Enjoyed having a little self serve bait / snack and drink shop that you could pay for by dropping money in a coffee jar. I told my kids that this was a great place for our first camping trip as a family as it wasn’t scary for them and they could learn some of the basics without being too overloaded. I’d bring a small axe or machete to clear some of the thorny green stuff but other than that you’re good to go.
