WildWing Retreat is a beautiful 25 acre bush block, located within a 15 minute (1km) walk, to the local surf beach of Four Mile. The property has been created to host retreats centred around nature immersion, movement and connection (i.e yoga, acroyoga, dance, meditation, mindfuness, embodiment practices etc) and in the 'off season' it's available to host hipcampers! Because the space has been designed to host large groups, there are a bunch of facilities available to use, such as compost toilets, a communal kitchen with fresh running water, solar lights and gas cooker, an undercover deck area, hot showers, and a cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!). We also have a small stream on the property, with a little waterhole for plunging in and are surrounded by native wildlife. The property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus. WildWing is also our home, so we have our own set up, on a different section of the property. This means that we are nearby if needed, but that we all have our own space on the property :). There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes. We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno & Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park. We are passionate about outdoor living and supporting the natural environment and have created WildWing with the intention to support others to have unique and beautiful experiences in nature, while caring for the land they inhabit.Set up camp and enjoy all the facilities of an undercover kitchen, with fresh running water, our undercover deck space (for morning stretches or a place to hang out of the weather) and the luxury of hot showers and compost loos. Ebony and Danny have created a wonderful, special spot that was the perfect place for our family. The space itself is beautiful and all the facilities are excellent. Both Ebony and Danny were lovely and super accommodating. We spent 8 nights here and could have spent more. Highly recommend this magical spot

Beautiful location with an amazing set up. Communal kitchen, lounge area and showers made camping really comfortable. Lots of little bush tracks to explore with a beautiful creek. Really close to the beach so everything was convenient.

The communal set up is great, with 4 gas burners , saucepans and frypans. The toilets were compost toilets and a little 'hardcore', but super cute and clean, and an experience. There's a yoga deck with one communal matt if you wanna stretch. The standard camping area has 5 camp sites that are relatively close together. One of the campers unfortunately had a boom box, and the music was on way past 11pm. Another set of campers was a noisy family with children that had constant melt downs, who then all got sick. Of course this is nothing to do with the wonderful hosts, but this was who was there at the same time as us. There are wonderful camping spots throughout the amazing property, you have to carry your stuff or take a wheeelbarrow a fair distance for privacy. It definitely was not an option for us to walk a car-load of gear to a secluded site. On the 3 nights we stayed, there was a black snake who hung around and quickly got out of the way when you came walking along- it is the absolute bush so it's expected. I would recommend this site, I found it was relatively expensive for a family, but with the care that went into the property, and the fact the hosts come over each day to light a fire to heat the hot water (hot water 6 pm, until around 8pm) I can understand why.

The natural bush setting was fabulous. The open air showers are a real treat and it is soooo quiet. The camp kitchen has everything most people would need. Ebony was a charming host.

We loved our stay! The facilities were excellent and so well thought out. It was such a treat having such a beautiful camp kitchen that was so well equipped and the communal area and bush surrounds are lovely with the beach just a short walk away. It is clear a lot of love has gone into this place

WildWing Retreat was so awesome and so relaxing. The facilities were great and the scenery was beautiful. My husband and I had a nice private spot for our van, where we were able to watch the birds and cicadas settle for the night. Highly recommend!

Great spot! Ebony's directions were spot on making it extremely easy to find our campsite. It is in a secluded area with trees surrounding the property with several other campsites. Two out houses and multiple clean showers provided. She had a woodfire going to heat the hot water from 6p-10p, which was lovely. The place had a communal area where we were able to easily cook a meal while sharing the space with a family of 6 also cooking. Everything you would need to cook and clean the dishes was available. Definitely would stay again.

Beautiful spot where we could wander up and down the hill to the beach and relax in the beautiful surroundings when tired. Only 1 hour from dramatic hikes such as Stacks Bluff. Loved it.

We could hear the waves when we were sleeping in our tents, incredible wild life spotting, so peaceful and a perfect way to spend our Christmas! The layout of the site and kitchen is so well thought out, absolutely stunning. Fresh drinking water, toilets, kitchen crockery, all the luxury’s you need without disturbing the beautiful nature around the site. The beach is gorgeous and I loved swimming, crystal clear waters. What a reset for the soul. Thank you guys we will never forget it and will be back 😊❤️

We enjoyed three nights in a tent on a bush site at Wildwing Retreat and would stay again. A dip in the creeklet swimming hole, showering with a bush view, cooking with gas, with hot water for showers and kitchen area from a wood fired donkey managed by Ebony & Danny. Wonderful. Camping with a little bit if luxury.

A little treasure I stumbled upon to surprise my partner before her cancer operation for her to relax. We were both surprised, and relax is what we did ! The love and time that’s been put into this property, it is creative and heart n sole, complete bliss this place. The camp kitchen is very authentic and creative, the showers absolutely beautiful with hot water from the wood fire water system (mad max), the sundeck with old claw foot bath superb, the thunderbox is a piece of art itself, a hot tub which also is wood heated (didn’t use this), beautiful bulb solar lights around all the areas, ample wood supply, fresh water hole in a short walk and the beach 15min walk and again beautiful. We were lucky enough to have to WHOLE place to ourselves! This meant we could roam where ever and how ever we liked 😉 Weather was perfect, the whole weekend was perfect, peaceful and just what we needed, really felt relaxed. Danny was our host who was more than friendly and Ebony was more than helpful via phone. Lovely people, lovely place and do yourself a favour and check it out you won’t be disappointed!

They have created camp facilities that provide comfort and convenience yet at the same time do not cut you off from the immersive experience of being in nature. Great fire pit near kitchen. Really well built and charmingly rustic off-grid set up with easy access in 2wd.

Where do I start about the most amazing, fabulous, breath taking camp site that we have ever been too. From the start we were greeted with so most kindness and a tour of the camp site and made to feel at home. Which as a beautiful small family running it you can tell how much love they have put in to make everyone feel at home. This will become a 2 yearly trip for us as it has very much become a home away from home in the 3 short days we were there. Can't wait to watch this campsite grow. Thanks Ebony, Danny and Laona for sharing your family xxx Always a special place for us as the 7th of September 2024 next to the fire we got engaged. Very close to our hearts

Hot rainwater showers in the bush.

The hot rainwater showers are unlike anything I've had before. The layout is beautiful and ingenious. The whole campsite smells of wood. Directions and access are all easy (my car is 2WD). I will be back!
