Inglis River Caravan and Camping

This is a great camp for everyone, especially families. A lot of thought has gone in to the camp from fairy gardens and lights to the great communal area by the river. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Thanks for allowing people to use your land!

Best campground and hosts

My wife and I love staying at Inglis River Retreat. Aaron and Amanda are the best hosts and have gone above and beyond on their park. The campgrounds are gorgeous, river running around the whole site and nice spacious areas, Aaron and Amanda have gone above the natural beauty and have added a playground, fire pits, floating pontoons, rope swing and much more. With their regular visits to say hi and check alls good. We have been frequently and have multiple more trips already booked.

We love this place. Lots of bird life to watch and was very quiet and peaceful. We stayed on camp 3A. Loved watching the goats and their antics and the kids loved the playground. In summer the river will be lovely to swim and kayak in. Would recommended

What an absolute credit to this couple that have set up camp spots for self contained campers. We gave 3 nights and loved our space. Fairy walk is gorgeous and grandkids loved it! Fire pot and lights are awesome and well spaced out. Will be back again to enjoy the floating bar.

Beautiful spot. I was silly and didn’t see the 4WD only sign…. So of course I got bogged. But Aaron and another guest pulled me out and Aaron drove my van to a spot more suitable. A fallen tree on arrival was very quickly dealt with by Amanda. All part of the adventure. Thank you to Aaron and the Maroon Queenslanders who helped. Such a peaceful spot. Easy booking. Our best hip camp experience so far! Beautiful well maintained property with big fire pots and green grass. Massive sites so no greedy owners here 👍 SO much fun for families with a fairy walk big playground and sand pit. Bike tracks for kids and mountain bikes. We are very impressed! We had a flat battery in our car the day we left and the owner happily jump started us 😊 Thank you Aaron and Amanda 😊

In all of our travels over the years on the mainland and our home state of Tassie I'm declaring this camp the best one yet. Aaron and Amanda have thought of absolutely everything. The informative signage is amazing everywhere around the property. Fire pots supplied everywhere and plenty of sticks around on walks to collect. Plenty of space for everyone to have their piece of paradise and area for kids to run around . A beautiful river to watch, swim or even fish at! They even have an incredible play set up with swings, slides, cubby house, mud kitchen, sandpit and more. To top it off there is a gorgeous walk dotted with fairies, gnomes and other magical creatures that the kids LOVED spotting! It's all lit up with fairy lights at night to make it even more magical. Aaron and Amanda were always so quick to respond with questions before the trip and checked in during our trip. Aaron came and visited and you can really tell the passion and care they have for this amazing place. We can't wait to stay again! Highly recommend to stay anytime of the year!

It was my second time at Aaron and Amanda's. I had the whole place to myself and enjoyed the peace and tranquility. I appreciate the effort Aaron and Amanda have put into this campsite and would not hesitate to recommend it as a must-visit site.

photos don't do this place justice - it's wonderful. Lovely campsite, separated into 5 sections. paddock 1 is an individual site, paddock 2 has 3 sites (closest to the kids playground), paddock 3 is next to the river, paddock 4-5 is next to the river and floating pontoon + communal fireplace. Fire pits provided for each site. Extremely spacious and well cared for. No facilities so need to be fully self contained. Fairy lights scattered around the place for some added ambiance. Aaron was lovely. Really pleasant stay, thanks!

I'd highly recommend staying here for anyone travelling in a caravan. Site 3 is right by the water, and it's quiet and so peaceful. Aaron and Amanda were stellar to work with. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Campsite 2 - Rivers View 🏕️

We were lucky enough to stay here for 11 nights over school holidays and Easter, although we're retired. It was so peaceful and we had so much space between camps. Parked close to the river and very private. Fire every night in the provided receptacle. Need to be fully self contained, but we are. We used it as a base, taking day trips in the north west, with a "rest" day a couple of times. Close to Wynyard and Burnie for shopping, water, fuel. Aaron dropped in for a chat a couple of times. We found them very easy to deal with via Hipcamps. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

We absolutely loved camping here. It's a beautiful and quiet spot with a lovely view. A lot of love and thought has been put into this property. It has a great play area set up for kids and my boys loved it, we ended up extending our trip. My husband loved the mountain bike track too and took the kids on a few laps. Aaron and Amanda were really helpful and friendly, and even had the Easter Bunny visit. A great base to explore the area. Can't recommend it highly enough and we will definitely be back!
