What to Expect • Rugged Access: 4WD required via a private track (follow the deer fence on the left, as shown in the photo). Important Disclaimer: Please understand this is an unmanicured piece of land, and you can camp wherever is suitable for you - but this at times requires some clearing (such as thistles) to make yourself comfortable. We can't control occasional noises in this rural setting, such as distant groups or activities on neighbouring private land, or possible machinery sounds from neighbouring commercial farming activities. Tasmania is home to venomous snakes, including tiger snakes, which are occasionally seen near rivers, grassy areas, or under logs during warmer months (spring to autumn). They generally avoid people and will move away if given space. To stay safe: make noise when walking, wear sturdy boots, keep pets supervised/on-lead and do not approach, handle, or try to move it.The site provides ample space, with 1-2 acres of flat terrain - perfect for setting up tents, caravans, fifth wheels, or camper trailers. Nestled among native trees and sandstone cliffs, ensures a secluded wilderness experience with room to roam and relax. Plus, good news for families - kids aged 12 or below stay for free, making it an affordable adventure for all. Broad River Retreat
A lovely spot on Broad River. Lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery. I took my horse and went riding in the forestry areas nearby. A great fun weekend!

Broad River Retreat
Very relaxing spot. We were 2 people with tent and dog. Very nice river for swimming. Great for self sufficient campers who like to just chill for a couple of days.
