Quiet Weekend Away
6 m Class B ¡ With pets ¡ This property is located at the rear of the owner's land and is essentially a large paddock bordered by trees. Access was straightforward, following clear signage from the main road to the gate. During our visit in summer, the grass was dry, and a fire ban was in place. I can imagine this would be an ideal spot for a winter getaway, with a fire.
Over the weekend, we had the entire area to ourselves and found a beautifully shaded spot to relax. We explored the property, including walking around the dam, and enjoyed encounters with a friendly horse and sheep. Our cat especially loved roaming the grounds and embraced his wild side.
The temperature was about 10 degrees cooler than Adelaideâif Adelaide was 35°C, it was about 27°C here. In the evening the weather became even cooler, needing warm clothing.
Shannon, our host, stopped by to greet us and was both friendly and welcoming. The property is very quiet, with the sound of the sea in the background. There are picturesque views of the surrounding hills and old grapevines.
I would recommend this location to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat away from caravan parks. The site is suitable only for self-contained visitors.
Thanks Shannon, will be back in the cooler months.
