We are located just off the Horrocks Highway on the way to the Clare Valley amongst 42 acres of peppermint gum scrub sheltered by the ranges west of Tarlee. Here you will find lovely spread out camping spots with plenty of space to explore, quiet country roads for walking or riding with spectacular views of the ranges and valley as well as Kangaroos, Kookaburras and more native wildlife. Bush camping at its best. Firewood available to purchase on arrival, $25 for a large container and fire drums are provided. NO CHAINSAWS A beautiful peaceful spot with plenty of space for caravans, campers, tents and swags. We have a small flock of sheep to pat, children love to ride their push bikes down the hills and through the tracks. Our scrub is perfect for outdoor imagination and bundles of energy. Campers have made cubbies in the trees, tyre swings and set up hammocks for lazy afternoons or a swing. Pick a site that suits you best, set up camp, light a fire and sit back and relax. Pet friendly. Long drop toilet available.

Open area with valley views as we are quite elevated, perfect for stargazing on a clear night and hills to roam and animals to pat. Access suits vehicles that have ground clearance and fantastic for kids to explore or have a go on the tyre swing near your camp.  Suited more for camper trailers, tents or swags, caravans have made it too. It's a short walk to long drop toilet. Bring your own portable toilet if you prefer, no digging of holes please. Bush camping at its best.  Firewood is available to purchase on arrival, $25 for a large container and fire drums are provided. NO CHAINSAWS Pets aren't permitted in this area due to sheep nearby and baby lambs in August/September.

Our host was lovely and welcoming and the campsite was perfect. A lovely outlook of trees and open farmland. Peaceful with only the sounds of sheep and birds for company. We’ll definitely be keeping this one on our list of stays in future.

I had a great stay and thank you to Russell and Alison for being so positive in opening up their property to motorcycle camping. I found a great spot to pitch my tent and it was nice to sit back and enjoy the afternoon, as well as the colour changes with the setting sun.

Nice rolling hills to camp on, there are few flat spots and some on a slight slope. Plenty of space. Nothing significantly pretty about the place, but still nice countryside views. Area was tidy and mowed. Good amount of firewood for $25

Great spot to stay off grid with 6-7 individual sites on the property. Some sites are close enough together that you could stay with a group but still have your own space. Only one other caravan there when we stayed so we were very secluded and couldn’t see them directly from our site. Good size long drop toilet area with motion lighting for night use. Very clean. Hosts were friendly though we rarely saw them. $25 for a decent size container of firewood delivered to our site seemed pretty reasonable. It’s a natural area, so the sites have a small slope and you might need some extra caravan levellers pending your setup and site. Easy drive to Clare and Burra. Our dogs loved the property’s dam! Our favourite Hip Camp so far. 😊

Amazing view. We arrived in an absolute storm. Rain going sideways. Russell & Alison were on hand to show us where to set up but given the weather we headed for a motel. The property is beautiful with a variety of great looking camp spots. We’ll be back :)

The camp-site is beautiful and well kept. Peaceful clean and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Although there is a 'bush toilet', it was clean and didn't smell at all. Perfect spot to unwind, enjoy nature.

Fantastic camping spot ! First time here and would recommend to anyone. We really enjoyed our time amongst nature and beauty of the place.. it was peaceful and serene. We also enjoyed time in front of the fire at night. Lots of space to explore during the day, and we were grateful for the pit toilet. Thanks Russell and Alison for your beautiful place!

Great little place to camp not far from Adelaide. Several camp sites you can chose from with a fire drum ready to use. Long drop toilet that is very well maintained. Easy to find location with good instructions and the host were very easy going and friendly. Will camp there again!

Beautiful spot to spend a few days around a campfire. Loved the fire pits and that you could purchase wood so easily. Sites are well away from others and some are pretty level for a van. The drop toilet is a winner! It was so nice to be able to let the dogs off the leash- they had a wonderful time too! Thank you Alison for your help 😊

My first experience camping my 2 dogs came along Tarlee looked impressive on Hicamp i wasn't disappointed when i arrived plenty of space between other campers my dog enjoyed being free to roam & my first sitting in front of an open fire at night I ordered the wood when making my booking Yes I can recommend this lovely place

This is our fourth time here -- our favourite HipCamp spot so far. The hosts are fantastic and accommodating. They keep the long-drop in such good nick I'd say its the best I've seen. Well done to the hosts for keeping the place so beautiful and for being great hosts.

Absolutely recommend this hip camp. Stayed with wife and kiddo and we all loved it, beautiful site, well kept, quiet, owners are lovley. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't want to leave. The owners dog came and hung out with us which was a nice touch

We had an amazing time at Tarlee. Would definitely come back again. The dog was very friendly and stayed with us all night. The toilet is very clean. I would recommend!

A beautiful location and very well kept sites. There are many options with plenty of room, and a well kept accessible toilet. Easy access to the sites and plenty of shady trees if needed.
