We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway). Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

The Laneway amongst the trees has a winter creek that will put you to sleep with its babbling lullaby, beautiful trees for shade and natures alarm clock of our abundance of birds will make sure that you do not miss a moment of the day. Our resident owl may even gift you with his presence and the frogs will chatter in the evenings. There are a few spots to pitch a tent, park a camper trailer or RV. (Please check with hosts if you have a large vehicle to see if the Laneway will accommodate it). Note: there is a 9pm noise curfew as you are in the valley and the sound travels in every direction (please be mindful of respecting others). We will not tolerate loud music or drunken behaviour in our quiet surroundings and all waste is to be taken and leave no trace. Please note there is limited phone coverage at this site and it is closer to the country road.

Topspot is nestled high amongst the gums in its own little sanctuary. With views of the valley yet private, this is really a "Topspot". 4WD is a must to access this site, along with reasonable backing skills. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the 2 hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. Please note: Loud music and drunken behaviour will not be tolerated - please respect others. There is a toilet at this site.

Welcome to the Hut site on our 30 acres of hidden paradise.   This spectacular site sits atop our majestic hills, overlooking the picturesque McHarg Valley from the Lookout side, with stunning views of Lake Alexandrina from the summit. We’ve added a cozy hut with stools so you can sit at the “bar” and soak in the sweeping rural vistas—festoon lighting included! Access Requirements This site is suitable only for tents and camper trailers and requires a 4WD to reach safely. AWD vehicles may manage the track in dry conditions, but generally a 4WD with low range is recommended. Autumn/Winter Conditions Please note that during the wetter months, significant rainfall can make the track up to the two hill sites slippery and inaccessible, as it crosses farm paddocks. If this occurs, we may need to cancel your booking for safety reasons. We appreciate your understanding. f you are pulling a caravan or motorhome, please refer to our other listing - The Laneway - which is by the creek and just as special.

Camping and the animals!

We had amazing experiences here on Sam and Chris' Noorla Farm : ) This was my first ever camp with my 2 boys and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Sam and Chris gave us the right advice and support to get us going as well as a lovely gift of eggs, homemade biscuits and sweets. We stayed at the Laneway and it was beautiful scenery and there was ever present nature including many species of bird calls that we awoke to in the morning, as well as the possums we spotted over night. There was also a kookaburra only a few meters from the tent, waiting in the morning. Sam and Chris very kindly helped us to pack up our new tent that we were struggling with. Quite unbelievable and unexpected. We were so lucky. And to totally cap it off we were treated to meeting all their animals, and my teenage boys got to gain many new experiences from patting camels to holding guinea pigs and collecting eggs. Chris had a great sense of humour when showing us around and was really present and giving of his time. Thank you so much Sam and Chris. We look forward to coming back again!

We had a wonderful time staying at Sam and Chris’s farm. We loved the Laneway. Fantastic shade with the lovely creek. It overlooked the cows. Sam and Chris introduced us to all their animals. We met the camels, cows, Guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens and more. They were lovely to chat with and we will be back. We really appreciated the welcome basket and the voucher took us to the nearby winery of K1 wines. There are lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. This was a big family gathering for us and we made fantastic memories from it thanks to their hospitality.

Highly recommend this stay! It was a great location and the views were stunning. Sam and Chris were lovely people and provided us with a gift basket and took the time to introduce us to all their beautiful animals. Very convenient that the camp spots have toilets as well!

Amazing views !! A beautifully kept site , with a clean private portaloo, firepit, wooden table and bench seat . I had a lovely relaxing time at the Topspot site , also was lucky enough to help feed the animals , pat a camel ,a friendly pig and my favourite the cows with their babies!! Hosts were very welcoming, and I was given a little goody basket on arrival! I will definitely be back and bring the hubby and dog next time . Truly is a fabulous spot to camp , I would recommend to anyone 😁

We were welcomed with a lovely welcome pack amd smiles! Although we didn't end up staying because it was raining so hard, we did get to pat the camels and see the animals! Sam refunded me without me even asking which was very kind. Would recommend :)

Really friendly and helpful host. Cute animals and nice greenery. The toilet was convenient and clean. They greeted us with a sweet gift box and gave us opportunity to interact and feed the animals. Highly recommend.

I can’t recommend Sam and Chris’s place more highly. The location was perfect - a short drive either way from the farm and you’re in the middle of beautiful wine and food country. The farm itself was gorgeous - I went to sleep and woke up the sound of birds each day and the sunset from the top of the hill was pretty spectacular. Sam and Chris were incredibly generous with their time, showing me around the property and introducing me to all of the animals, as well as giving plenty of recommendations for the area. You can tell how much they care for all of their animals and they really want their guests to feel at home. I’ll definitely be back again!!

Chris was very helpful in showing us around and finding a lovely spot for our camper trailer. We enjoyed feeding the animals and then relaxing by the fire. Everything was great - the clean toilet and welcome pack were very much appreciated. We would definitely stay again!

We had a fantastic time at Noorla Farm. The kids loved the feeding time with the animals, especially the Camels. The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. We stayed at The Laneway, which was great. Nice and sheltered from the wind. Would definitely recommend.

The animal feeding was great a lovely small hamper was given extra firewood and clean toilet facilities. Views at the top of the hill were stunning 360 degrees of rolling green hills. Sam was very helpful and kind.

Our third time at Noorla farm and I can honestly say it’s our favourite place in SA to camp. Sam and Chris make it a truely memorable experience. Never have we found friendlier host and the animal feeding experiences are so special. The addition of a cubby house in the laneway was especially loved by my daughter. We stayed for 3 nights and wish it was longer. Can’t wait to plan our next stay back at Noorla farm.

Sam was so accommodating to us when we arrived. We got hit with the wind, and allowed us to relocate to the hut, which was such a nice spot. Greeted us with lovely goodies and a warm welcome. The site was unreal! I am definitely coming back here in the warmer months and telling all my friends about it.

Directions on arrival were clear, I was greeted immediately and shown up to the spot. We were spoilt with a little welcome basket of fresh eggs, cookies and chocolates (the best!). The top spot has breath taking views and gated fence perfect for our pups. We went for a little walk and met all the resident animals, who were all very friendly and happy to see us! I would recommend staying here, and I would stay here again! Communication with Sam was easy and timely, extremely helpful and accommodating.

What a beautiful part of the world and such generous hosts. I stayed with my two children in a tent in laneway and the setup was outstanding. Portaflush toilet, firepit. Clean site. We loved the animal visit. All are convinced we need to buy a camel. Some very keen kids for Guinea pigs. Can’t thank you enough

Wowee! We’re so grateful for our camping experience on Noorla Farm. What a stunning spot! Our 5 year old had the best birthday ever, feeding and patting all your animals that are so loved and cared for like members of the family. It was so nice to hear many of their rescue stories, we never knew how cuddly a camel could be! The fun ute ride to the top of the hill was an added bonus, what a view! The campsite was tip-top and perfect for our big tent. We also loved visiting Kyeema Conservation Park nearby for a little hike. Beautiful in spring time. Thank you Sam and Chris, you were so generous with your time and we loved hearing your stories, it’s a magic place you’ve created. We’d love to come back, and have more Guinea Pig pats!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – Perfect Stay with the Best Host! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The host went above and beyond to make us feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. The campsite itself is peaceful, well-maintained, and offers a truly warm, homely atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was getting to feed the camels and interact with other friendly pets – such a unique and unforgettable experience! Every little detail, from the cleanliness to the hospitality, was perfect. I would recommend this place 10 out of 10 to anyone looking for a safe, welcoming, and memorable getaway. We had a wonderful stay at The Laneway with four adults, a 5 year old and a small dog. The site is a peaceful, private setting, amongst trees and next to a babbling brook. It was lovely going to bed to the sound of frogs and waking up to birdsong. Sam and Chris were great to communicate with, and went above and beyond, taking the time to show us around their farm to feed all the animals. Meeting camels, horses, alpacas, cows, chickens, rabbits and Guinea pigs was a highlight. We also greatly appreciated them thoughtfully accommodating with our little reactive dog, putting their dogs inside for the tour and ensuring the campsite area was a safe haven. Highly recommend for little and big kids alike!

We had a great time at the farm! Chris and Sam are very welcoming hosts. Upon arrival Sam gave us a basket with eggs, chocolate and cookies, kids were very excited about this. Campsites are big, flat, with beautiful views and clean toilet. At 4 pm was an animal feeding time, so we all joined and it was amazing! Kids could feed and cuddle cows, horses, camels, alpacas, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs 😀 Highly recommend place to spend a weekend with the kids! Thanks Sam and Chris for your great hospitality

There was easy access to the camp site, well set up with a great toilet facility, a fire pit, a creak and a cubby house for the kids. This is the reason we like Hipcamps, stay in places you normally can't and get to meet cool people. The kids loved feeding the animals and the Hosts made us feel so welcome. Our family had a wonderful time! Sam and Chris were incredibly friendly, even inviting us to join in feeding the animals. They were so patient with our toddler, who had an absolute blast. The campsites were fantastic and well-equipped, with a cubby house, toilet, and fire pit. They even provided some firewood, which was a thoughtful touch. Sam and Chris are great hosts! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back

A very special cute little spot! The hosts were very friendly and prepared welcoming gift -chocolates, homemade biscuits and eggs, so sweet! Love the view from the campsite, especially from the picnic area. Definitely one of the best campsites I’ve ever been to, highly recommend it to anyone.

Had a fantastic weekend. We stayed at the laneway and it was so peaceful. Horses grazing nearby. So many gorgeous animals. I learnt alot. Hosts Sam and Chris were so welcoming. On arrival we were given a gift box of country fresh eggs and home made goodies and some chocolates. Very thoughtful. Last night we got a special ride in the ute up to the very top of the property and saw the most magnificent view. Took the dogs up as well and they enjoyed it too. Thank you so much again. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
