We have 20 acres at picturesque McLaren Vale, backing onto the Onkaparinga Gorge National Park. Set up camp on our open field and enjoy sea views and fantastic sunsets, as well as spot local wildlife from your camp chair, including kangaroos and a few koala's from time to time and many native bird species. The National Park has numerous walking trails to explore, and we are only a few minute's drive away from many wineries, local shops, restaurants and local beaches. It's an ideal base camp to explore this popular region. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet and we kindly ask you to take all waste when you go. Pet friendly!You are welcome to choose a spot on our 20-acre property to set up your self-contained camp. Many spots with great views, including ocean views, lights of Pt Noarlunga and Seaford at night and fantastic sunsets. Campfires are permitted when conditions allow, and local restrictions are not in force. BYO available. Pet friendly. Campers must have their own camp toilet and be self contained. Gorgeous view, very picture perfect at sunset as you can watch the sun set over the bay in the distance. Central area, short drive to Adelaide. Friendly, welcoming host.

We had a great site looking out over the Gorge and to the Ocean. Great to watch the sunset over the gorge. Close to McLaren vale, Moana and port Noarlunga. Was very quiet when we were there with only one other camper - cheers Darren.

Perfect sport for our campervan surrounded by vineyards, with a lot of space and a beautiful view on the sea. Darren was very helpful, I recommend !

Darren was very friendly and a great host. There are some works being done at the property but that didn't bother us. Very nice views.

Great views of Port Noarlunga and regions from the high hilltop site. I stayed over the Australia Day weekend which was the hottest on record.

Host was a top bloke, very friendly and accommodating. Property came with a great view and the place was situated conveniently close to plenty of wineries which made it very easy to get around and attempt to see them all

The camp was in a convenient location and the host was pleasant Improvements could be made to the appearance of the property as there were a lot of car bodies and junk lying around. Maybe also the excavator could be used within work hours and not at 8pm at night.

We actually were lucky enough to go down the track a bit & we were tucked in behind/around Olive trees,which worked out great, privacy & sheltered with 2 dogs, it worked out well

Camping at Darren’s was beautiful. Darren is a lovely guy and very helpful. The camp site is central to everything you could possibly want to see in the McLaren vale. Great views with beautiful sunsets looking out over the ocean.

The couple of days we stayed at Darren's place was so peaceful and quiet. Great position to wineries and McLaren Vale township. Loved the view of the ocean and Darren was a great host. Very down to earth and happy to help. Will be back again!

We loved our stay at Darren’s place, it was quiet and had excellent views! Very close to local wineries and nearby shops for groceries were only a short drive. Darren was a great host too!

A perfect nights sleep!

Perfect escape from the crowds of the coastal camping and caravan parks! We arrived on Boxing Day and were greeted by Darren who showed us to a flat spot with a gorgeous view that was a bit more protected from the 30km/h westerly winds! We had a peaceful night sleep and even a warm shower for a donation. Highly recommend this stop for exploring the McLaren Vale and surrounding coastal towns. Cheers Darren for the hospitality!

Thanks to Darren for a great stay. Beautiful views, close to Port Noralunga for snorkelling, McLaren Vale wineries just around the corner, and not far to drive to the Adelaide Hills either.

We absolutely loved our stay here! we stayed with our two kids. location is great and so close to everything form breweries to wineries, coast and more and had beautiful views over the national park and ocean. Darren was a fabulous host and checked in daily to see how we were going and offered advice on what to check out in the area. He even took us up to his place to look at a koala grazing in a tree. Thanks again for the stay Darren!

Sad to say goodbye. This place was more than I expected. Absolutely beautiful property over looking the National park and town. Darren is a fantastic host. Very responsive and accommodating. Whether you enjoy hiking, biking or wine, this is the place for you. It’s very central to the coast and wineries. Best part is doggos are welcome. You may even get a cheeky visit from resident dog Trigger the black staffy, who is super friendly - people and dogs! This place even has a horse float shower over looking the National park!

Cracking spot with great views over the national park and ocean. Very secluded spot amongst the wineries, and only a few mins to the beach/town. Darren is a great host. Highly recommend

We loved our stay! Incredible view all the way out to the ocean with plenty of space for a number of vans. Great wineries and beaches only 10 minutes away! Darren is a great guy that went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome at his place. We stayed four nights with two young kids but could easily have stayed a lot longer!
