I had a great stay and thank you to Alex for being so positive in opening up his property to motorcycle camping. I had the property to myself and found a great spot to pitch my tent. Campsite 11 had fantastic views across the valley and it was nice to sit back and watch the setting sun. I’ll definitely be planning another adventure.

Funnily we were drawn to the constant comments about how great the toilets were, and to be honest, they were incredible with festoon lights at night.
View was amazing, communication great, highly recommend! just watch the flies in November.

Nice and quiet setting amongst the trees with plenty of nature sounds around, good views of the sky for stargazing, good quality firewood available upon entry, and the amenities provided were excellent, water on site for dousing your firepit... loved spending a couple quiet nights there, will undwind regularly at Heggies hill bush camp in the future!

Great spot. Well thought out camp spots not too close to others felt quite private. Good quality firewood. Toilets exceptional even had wash basin for washing hands.

I had a great stay in site 1 which looks out to a great view right from the tent. Although a bit further to the pretty splendid bathrooms - it’s a short walk.
Other guests were friendly and respectful of your camp site and were all there to enjoy the nature.

Heggies was so good… Campsites are nicely spaced out so you don’t feel like you’re in each other’s pockets. Toilets were a particularly highlight, it felt like you were doing your business in a Swedish bath house!
I’d highly recommend and hope to be back sooner

We had a great time camping at Heggies Hill.
Great spot the facilities were awesome.
Unfortunately we chose the wildest and windiest couple of days.
But we will definitely go back thanks Alex and Maddie

A delightful hilltop site with amazing views to the west. Very peaceful; spacious sites well away from each other, and two new toilets which are not just utilitarian but works of art!

I loved camping here (despite the storm). It was so beautiful and private, with views of rolling green hills. We saw several wallabies in the morning and it was awesome to see the nearby cows and sheep!

Great spot, lots of camping sites, some more private than others but something to cater for everyone. The toilet facilities were excellent and spotless! the views are amazing and the location so convenient to some bigger towns. The firewood available to purchase is excellent.. highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed camping at Heggies Hill Bush Camp. Sensational views and great amenities. Well maintained sites, flushing toilets and great value fire wood available on site. We camp with a self contained ute/swag set up but the sites are definitely accessible for caravans too. 100% recommend.

The bush land around the sites was beautiful and lots of birds including Port Lincoln parrots. The toilets were so clean and flushing toilets with running was also a bonus. Thanks for the hospitality!

I would definitely commend the hosts Alex and Maddie for staying on top of our queries with urgent responses, very accomodating all the way!
The camping site location is indeed a marvel, with plenty of signage and accessible roads, the views along the way is very beautiful.
An easy access to firewood is a very resourceful touch and their toilets by far are the best ones I have seen in all of South Australia, flushable, very tidy and adequately equipped with a sink on the outside.
Now to the campsite, totally amazing! The ambience is very tranquil and very relaxing, I can't help but watch the view for hours especially during sunset! Very photography friendly with minimal obstruction especially for night time photography. The campsite terrains are well maintained with a fire pit and water supply.
I'd highly recommend this site to all upcoming campers. Would definitely love to come back again!

10/10 – A Magical Hipcamp Experience with Heartfelt Hosts!
We had an unforgettable stay at this Hipcamp hosted by the incredible Alex and Maddie. From the moment we checked in, we felt warmly welcomed. After setting up camp, they gave us a grand tour of their beautiful property and shared the inspiring story of how their Hipcamp dream became a reality. Their passion and care for the land truly shine through.
The campsite itself is thoughtfully laid out, exceptionally well-maintained, and organized for a smooth, comfortable stay. One of the unexpected highlights was the fancy toilet facilities — spotless, well-designed, and genuinely pleasant to use (not something you often say about a campsite toilet!).
We were also impressed by the high-quality firewood provided, which kept our campfires going strong through the chilly evenings. Sitting around the fire with the stunning views of the Southern Flinders Ranges in the background made for some magical moments.
And let’s not forget the cows! Feeding them was such a fun and wholesome experience. It was a joy to see how each one had its own unique personality — a true testament to the love and care Alex and Maddie give to all parts of their property.
If you're looking for a unique camping experience full of character, heart, and natural beauty, this is the place. We can't wait to come back!

Alex has done an amazing job setting up all the campsites on his magnificent property at Heggies Hill Bush Camp. All sites are easily accessible and clearly signposted. Site 11 has stunning views North and North West into the valley and the Tarcowie pub is an easy 5 minute drive where they serve good pub food and to have refreshing drink after a round of golf at the Tarcowie Golf Course ⛳️
The added bonus are the 2 flushing toilets kept spotlessly clean by Maddi and Alex, mountains of toilet paper and hand wash supplied ☺️ and be prepared for the prettiest toilet seats you’ll find!
We highly recommend Heggies Hill Bush Camp and will be returning for another stay soon.

We only stayed one night on our way to Uluru, but wish we could have stayed much longer. We arrived in the dark, and so waking up to the incredible sunrise view across the Ranges from our campsite (#11) was an ABSOLUTE highlight. The bush camp land is so beautiful and Alex and Maddie have added so many lovely touches. To be honest, arriving in the dark to an unfamiliar location had me feeling a little jumpy, but as soon as we saw the camp signage, the fairy-lighted trees and cute amenities huts, the firewood barrels, we knew we were somewhere special. So many thoughtful touches, including some excellent suggestions for things to do in nearby towns (the coffee and pulled pork roll at Two Farmers Daughters in the gorgeous Ooroong was AMAZING). Will be recommending to all my friends, and if I’m ever back in the area again will for sure be back. Thanks guys!
