PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL ABOUT OUR RULES AND SAFETY PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE HIP CAMP APP AND TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS TO RECEIVE MESSAGES ABOUT YOUR STAY Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great Hotels/pubs to dine in at Tarlee and Riverton. Emporium cafe for the best coffee in Riverton Important Information to know before ALL GUESTS/VISITORS MUST BE BOOKED IN BEFORE ENTERING OUR PROPERTY!!! All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead. Generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest. No chainsaws on property. Loud music not permitted, please turn silent by 8.30PM Pets are allowed, as long as they are on leashes at all times STRICTLY NO MOTORBIKES RIDDEN ON PROPERTY No rally driving. If you have day visitors joining you during your stay, please go to the extras section and add the numbers to the booking, We also operate another Hipcamp called BURRA CREEK CAMPING situated 25km North of Robertstown, ideal for mostly 4WD and off road campers. Milky Way Hut

Camp in our converted silo, with a shelter over your head, but still able to view the starry skies and magical sunrises through the window.  One small double swag can comfortably fit inside the hut, or pitch your tent outside and still enjoy the warmth of sitting inside. Welcome to park your caravan, motor home or camper trailer alongside as well.  There is a grass floor, carpet square by fire, with a luxury leather lounge and a table. This is a basic shelter and campers need to BYO everything else (including cooking equipment, and extra lighting), and leave it as (or better than) they find it.  Pets are welcomed, but please no pets laying on lounge. We've enclosed the silo with a shade cloth, to help protect you from the wind. Enjoy warming up with the pot belly pig fireplace. Your welcome to collect small kindling wood to get your fire started, but you will need to please bring some bigger wood also, that fits in the pot belly, or for outside fires. The hut is a short walk to the shared long drop toilet, mini putt putt golf, lawn bowls and assorted games.  Pets are welcome to stay too, but please ensure you clean up after them.  You'll also have easy access to the Heysen Trail for walkers and Ratttlers Trail for pushbikes!  Any visitors coming onto our property for a day visit, not staying, please go to the extra section when placing booking and add them to your payment.

Shepherds Hut

A restored historical building established in 1850’s .. A lot of history in the Shepherds Hut. Has a convectional heater inside to keep you warm, with a room to boil your billy or slow cook a stew over the day, please remember that it is basic, and not a resort. Beautiful views surrounding the site, sunrises and sunsets are amazing. The hut is situated next to the shearing shed, a short walk to a shared long drop toilet, but it be best to be fully self contained. Caravans will be able to park next to the hut, camper trailers and tents will have a grassed/dirt area close by to also set up, will need to level yourselves. Minimal solar lights are set up inside, you will need to bring your own lighting for extra lights. It has slate/dirt floors, with minimal furniture inside., you will need to bring everything for your comforts, with room for you to put a double swag on the ground it a wet night outside. Basic traffic from other campers on busy weekends. Tracks to walk and explore our property. Easy bicycle dirt road ride into our closest town. Lovely bird noises, and sheep grazing the property. Wood will be able to be purchased from us, please let us know before arrival, or your welcome to bring your own smaller pieces for the heater. The old Homestead close to Shepherds Hut is fully off bounds, as well as their horses PRIVATE PROPERTY. CAUTION ELECTRIC FENCE BY HORSES. Please give them their privacy and especially no loud noise. NO DOGS at this site please No loud music please, silent by 8.30pm. No motorbikes, guns or rally driving

This was our first off grid stay in our brand new caravan - and we absolutely loved it. Beautiful property, and so relaxing. Trish was lovely, and very friendly, yet non-intrusive. (Nothing against Peter- but we did not meet him - sure he is equally lovely.) If we lived in the same state, we would definitely make this a regular stay. Thanks for letting us share your piece of paradise.

A quiet night on a remote farm

It's a large farm, off the beaten path, with a variety of different camping areas. Trish put us in an open field by a fire pit because there were high winds forecast overnight. You can hike up to a ridge with sunset views down to a broad valley. We were the only campers there that night and it was overcast and pitch black. There are sheep on the property and we had a herd visit our camp in the morning. It was easy to book online with quick confirmation and we drove there after having dinner in Clare. It was great for us and would recommend to anyone wanting something different away from the crowds.

We returned once again to an excellent camp-site surrounded by friendly sheep with lovely views of the hills, gum trees and open paddocks. We watched a pair of wedge-tailed eagles soaring along the nearby hills for hours. We were met by Trish upon arrival who was friendly and cheerful, as always.

What an absolute treat to experience Edgehill Farm. Trish goes over and above for guests - from a warm, personalised greeting at the gate on arrival, to chaperoning to your site alongside friendly banter, to giving you all the space and privacy you need to enjoy your stay, right through to firewood deliveries to your site and checking everything was ok before you leave. The location is just beautiful. Lovely to see the glow of other campsites dotted around the property at night - but never hearing or seeing another camper. Loved it so much, booked in 2 more stays whilst we were sitting around the campfire. Hoping to get to Sunset Baa next time! I can see why Edgehill has such a loyal cult following (a real credit to the hosts)… we now count ourselves members of the cult! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!

We had a wonderful stay at Edgehill Farm Stays at Riverton, SA. For a number of us in the group, this was our first off-grid experience, and it was great in all respects. Our hosts, Trish & Peter, were terrific, and the level of communication was excellent. Would recommend.

The hut has been beautifully rebuilt and although the weather was great it was really handy to unload the van and would be amazing in winter with the fire. Site was very peaceful and hosts are amazing and can’t wait to come back m!

What a lovely place to camp! The surroundings were incredibly idyllic and Trish and Peter were very accommodating and friendly. The toilet facilities were clean and had all the supplies you'd need. Such a great jump-off point to the wine region with some beautiful dog friendly walks nearby

We recently hosted our annual caravan muster here for the second year in a row, and once again, it was absolutely fantastic. The location is perfect, and Trish and Pete are truly exceptional hosts. They made the whole process seamless from start to finish — nothing was ever too much trouble, and their support made hosting such a breeze. We stayed in our 21-foot Zone RV, along with a group of fellow owners, and the site was absolutely ideal. There’s plenty of space, grounds well maintained, and the little touches - like firepits ready to go and firewood delivered to each site - really elevated the experience. Evenings around the fire with stunning sunsets were the perfect way to wind down. Trish and Pete’s attention to detail and warm hospitality really make this place something special. Whether you’re planning a group event or just looking for a peaceful solo getaway, this spot ticks all the boxes. We’ll absolutely be back — for more events and for our own relaxing escapes!

Edge hill farm was beautiful. 2 nights in a pop top camper didn’t seem long enough. Blessed with perfect weather and great sunsets, but my highlight was probably watching the full moon rise over the hills in a clear sky. Access was fine at “twin creeks” for a caravan and standard car. Very tranquil, and remote from other campers. I highly recommend a spring visit!!! Thanks Trish and Peter!

We loved camping at Edgehill Farm Stays, the site was spacious and a good distance away from other campers. Our kids enjoyed riding their bikes around the property. The communication with Trish & Peter was very clear and helpful, they even delivered firewood to our site prior to arrival.

It is always such an enjoyable experience staying at Edgehill. Trish is a lovely host, very friendly and always ensures we have everything we need. We are returning campers, year after year and cannot see ourselves stopping anytime soon.

We arrived on a public holiday and all of the shops were closed. Trish had a BBQ pack waiting for us and offered us anything else we needed - veggies, bread, nothing was too much trouble. We also arrived to a wheelbarrow load of firewood next to the fire pit. We had a gorgeous night by the fire with our BBQ lamb. We will definitely be back.

Livin on the Ledge
Trish was kind enough to accommodate a small group of us over the October long weekend in a great spot with the cleanest drop toilet any of have ever seen. The camp site was perfect for our tent and camper trailer and there was plenty of room for more. We had a fire pit, easy access to the toilets and the sunset views were pretty special. Trish was super friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely return.

Coming back for sure. Very spaced out camping areas so can see the neighbours but can’t hear them, had a good weekend and Trish was a hoot.
