No 4x4 tracks to drive on PLEASE DOWNLOAD HIPCAMP APP, and turn ON NOTIFiCATIONS TO RECEIVE MESSAGES ABOUT YOUR STAY PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL ABOUT OUR RULES AND SAFETY Burra Creek Camping in Bright is an incredibly beautiful, rustic 5000-acre property, situated 25km North of Robertstown, just over 2 hours from Adelaide. It's suited to those with 4x4 or higher clearance vehicles, and off-road campers/caravans and tents. The camping sites here are very private, and provide large flat areas to set up. All have beautiful surroundings and views. The land here is spectacular. From morning light accompanied by birdsong, to days spent exploring the creek and the bush, to stargazing and toasting marshmallows by night, the land here offers the perfect antidote to modern-day stresses. There is (wonderfully) limited phone service here, meaning it's the perfect place for a digital detox! Two of our campsites have very basic outback long drop toilets (Wombat Flat and Creek Site), but for all other sites, campers need to be fully self-contained. It's you and nature. Therefore we ask that you please ensure the place is left as or better than you found it. All rubbish and waste to be taken with you. Important Information to know before booking: ALL GUESTS/VISITORS MUST BE BOOKED IN BEFORE ENTERING OUR PROPERTY Plenty of fallen timber around you are welcome to collect for firewood, however, strictly no chainsaws or cutting down of trees. For your own comfort, you could take your first day of wood, so you’re ready to have a fire once all set up. And strictly no motorbikes, firearms, or rally driving on the property. Comfort fires only while fire ban season is in place Pets are allowed, as long as they are controlled.

Wombat Flat is the perfect spot for small or larger groups with 4x4 vehicles, and off road campers and hybrids. There is a very very basic outback long drop toilet available at this location, welcome to bring your own portable toilet as well. Located next to the creek and wombat holes! Hopefully, you will see a wombat. Heaps of dry creek beds to explore. Milky Way stars for infinity. NO MOTOR BIKES of any kind We ask that your respect our land, and no fast rally driving in paddocks please! Any visitors on our property for a day visit, must be pre-booked via the EXTRA's section when making your booking.

This campsite is located right next to Burra creek, and is perfect for small or large groups, with plenty of space and lots of flat cleared area, and interesting areas to explore including the seasonal creek bed. 4x4 vehicles high clearance best to get to this site There is a very very basic outback long drop toilet, you are also welcome to bring your own portable toilet. Well-behaved dogs welcome. Firewood collection onsite available but please no chainsaws. Only collect the fallen timber. No littering, all rubbish must be removed and not burnt. Please leave our site as you find it. No irresponsible rally driving around property. NO firearms of any sort, NO motor bikes of any kind on our property. Any visitors on the property for the day not staying, please go to the extra section when making the booking. Bright/Burra Creek camping, is situated 25km North of Robertstown, and is best to have 4x4 vehicles and off road campers/caravans and also tents.

This campsite is a nice flat spot that overlooks the red gums. Perfect for small groups with off-road camper trailers, hybrid campers and small caravans and 4x4 vehicles. A nice stroll down the dry creek bed, and keep a watch out and you may see Diprotodon dinosaur bones imbedded in the creek walls from many years ago . NO MOTOR BIKES of any kind No Chainsaws No 4x4 tracks No toilet at this site so please bring your own, no paper or waste to be left at the site. If you wish to have day visitors, you MUST book them in at the time of booking and we do have a small charge for this. Please do so via the Extras at time of booking.

This site is a levelled area and back up on the edge of the dry creek bed, with views looking down to the creek. It is suitable for 4x4 vehicles and off-road up to 19ft or less caravans, hybrids, camper trailers, and tents. No long drop at this site, you would need to be self-contained, please. Our property can be drier in the summer months and possibly need extra shade for warmer months. Lovely bird sounds, along with kangaroos, wombats, and other wildlife. NO MOTOR BIKES of any kind

Creek Campsite
Directions and communication with Trish and Peter were great. No dramas finding the site (creek camp). Site was clean, level and well set up with areas that were well sheltered from wind but was still open with good views of the surrounding bush and creek beds. We had a storm come through but it hardly had any effect on our comfort (we were in a tent). Plenty of land to explore and there are massive gums that must be hundreds of years old. Will certainly book again but during a period that we can have a fire although we both agreed that it wasn’t that important in this instance! Great place to relax and unwind!

Excellent communication and directions from the hosts. Nice quiet secluded flat level spot amongst the gum trees. Saw kangaroo's and lizards. Plenty of places to walk and explore. Thanks to Trish and Peter for a nice relaxing weekend away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay amongst the gums and wombat holes beside the dry creek. We were serenaded by a wide variety of birdlife including Rainbow Bee-eaters and Red-backed and Sacred Kingfishers. We would’ve loved to add a wombat to the list of sightings but unfortunately that wasn’t to be this time. Maybe next time as we will definitely be back. Trish was a delight to talk to and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Trish & Peter were very helpful on how to get to the camp site and made it easy to follow with instructions. Very lovely place to relaxs and go for walks and explore was amazing.

Seriously great spot. I managed to get copious amounts of gorgeous photographs. Apart from the wind and dust, we could have stayed for days. Another magical spot Trish. We will be back x

We loved camping at Kangaroo Pad. If you want peace and quiet definitely stay here. If you are a large group it's lovely and flat plenty of room to spread out. Beautiful view across the creek.

Red Gum Lookout
This is a beautiful site. It was so peaceful and the birdlife was amazing. Trish is a great host and answered any questions immediately. The road in was a little cut up due to some recent rains but was not too hard to navigate if taken slowly. The area we camped was level and very secluded. This is a great camp to just slow down, relax and enjoy nature.

A great little secluded spot. Maybe not ideal in the heat of summer, it’s pretty dry & dusty. And you need to be mindful of big rains because if that creek bed swells there’s no going home in a hurry, but oh what a sight that would be!!. However this time of year, September, it’s perfect. It’s the only campsite in that area for miles & the road stops there. So no neighbours & no through traffic. It’s below the cliff line, so you are out of the worst of the wind & is big enough to park a large car & trailer in, maybe even two. Trish is a super responsive host & communicates everything you need to know about getting there well before you are getting ready to leave. If you like secluded, don’t mind a bit of dust & love waking up to the sound of birds, give it a go 🏕️❣️

Fantastic secluded spot at Red Gum Lookout, with great views and walks through the creek bed. Directions were really clear, with helpful photos. High clearance is helpful for the track in (especially with a bit of water about) but towed the camper trailer through without any problems.

Great campsite, nice and secluded. Seen a couple of Wombats. Lots of choices of where to setup with firepits at each location, and different levels of height depending on if the creek was flowing. Will definitely be going back. 😀

Ah, the serenity! Perfectly private, beautiful surroundings and a little water in the dry creek bed made the wildlife come visiting. We saw a few kangaroos, lizards etc but there’s so many birds to watch. We loved every minute apart from the very chilly nights but that was our poor choice of timing, a campfire helped keep us warm and cozy before bed. The stars are amazing on a clear night! The track in was a little rough so make sure you’re not in a low riding vehicle but even in 2wd and some muddy patches after the rain we made it ok. Limited/no phone service so if you’re attached to your devices it may not be the place for you but we loved it. 100% we will return for another visit.

We had a great time exploring Trish & Peter's property. Trish's communication was top notch, very clear directions. We couldn't get the smile off our 15 month old boy Ollie's face 😁 creek camp was wonderful, big and level with a great view of the creek, lots of shade if needed with wonderful bird life.

Creek Campsite
We have just had another wonderful weekend away and this time stayed at the Creek Campsite. It’s a wonderful spot with a stunning backdrop of the red creek embankment and majestic gum trees, giving a great sense of tranquillity. Due to the dark nights we had a wonderful time star gazing and were lucky enough to see a meteor shower. We were a group of 12 and there was more than enough room to easily accommodate everyone. The campsite is quite flat so minimal setting up is required. There is an abundance of fire wood a short drive away from the site making life easy so you don’t have to bring it with you. This property is a great place to unwind, connect with nature and spend time with family and friends. Trish and Peter are wonderful hosts and can’t do enough for you – very much appreciated. Can't recommend it enough and just a short drive from Adelaide.
