A beautiful hideaway with breathtaking views across the Pimpimbudgee Valley in the South Burnett. Camp overnight or for a relaxing week away on a 200 Acre working cattle farm. See our lovely herd of cows, calves and horses and explore our Creek, Rockpools and Dams. Plenty of room to ride bikes or stroll through the countryside. Walk down to seasonal Jones Creek, explore the rock pools or sit and admire the wonderful view and enjoy the peace & quiet. A great spot for birdwatching with 31 species located on the property. Nearby to Maidenwell’s Coomba Falls and a short drive to the Bunya Mountains with many kilometres of rainforest walks. Stone Fire pits are available on all sites. Firewood can be pre-ordered with notice as an extra add-on. Local pub and cafe are a short drive away in Maidenwell. Maidenwell pub does an amazing Pig on the Spit if you are there the last Saturday of the month and great Pizzas! 370m Airstrip available for fly in visitors with appropriate prior notice. We recommend taking a few carrots to tempt the horses over for a pat. We're on Instagram and Facebook as Tinara Pastured Beef - jump on and follow us! Fully self-contained and off-grid campers only. You will need your own water, camp toilet and to take all rubbish with you - leave no trace. Dump points for toilet and rubbish are located in Maidenwell. **Please note our only all-wheel-drive site, Main Camp, is currently unavailable due private use. All other sites are 4WD access only (not suitable for 'soft' 4wd's). Please do not book The Hill campsite unless you are an experienced and competent offroad 4WDér. Lower Valley View requires the least amount of 4WD experience to access** Disclaimer - The images shown in our listings show our property at various times of the year, what you get at the time of your trip will be totally dependant on mother nature.

Lower Valley View is approximately 400m from main camp and is nestled beneath a glorious tree. A stone fireplace overlooking the valley is the perfect way to while away an evening under the stars. Lose yourself for a few nights, you could be anywhere! Cattle may at times be present in this area. Fully self-contained campers only. Leave no trace. This site is our most accessible campsite however a 4wd is still required and an off-road caravan recommended. Please remember to add firewood as an extra if needed at time of booking.

The Hill Campsite is a large grassy knoll up toward the back of our property. Head down to the seasonal creek to explore the rock pools under the shade of the Calistemon trees. Very private spot (w phone coverage) perfect for relaxing. Head over to our Main Dam and enjoy the tranquility. Accessed via hilly terrain and a dry creek bed, you will need off-road 4WD experience and capability. A 4wd with low range is essential and an off-road caravan highly recommended. A Fire-Pit is available for use at this site. Cattle may at times be present in this area. Fully self-contained campers only. Leave no trace. Please remember to add firewood as an extra if needed at time of booking

Creekside ‘The Glen’ Campsite is a large flat grassy space alongside Jones Creek. The creek is seasonal however many rock pools remain to explore under the shade of the Calistemon trees. Very private spot in the valley (no phone coverage) perfect for bird-watching. Head up and sit by our Main Dam and enjoy the tranquility. Accessed via hilly terrain and 2 (mostly) dry creek beds a 4wd is essential and an off-road caravan recommended. A stone Fire-Pit is available for use at this site. The beauty of Tinara is that you have totally private camping remote from any neighbouring campers.There are only three sites and they are large. There are nice walks around the property and you will have a peaceful stay with the cows and friendly horses for company. The Bunya Mountains with the lovely NP trails and coffee shop etc are only 45 minute drive away. Quentin and Tamara are most friendly and although a little tricky to find the property and campsites at first, Quentin’s directions are excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You do need to be self sufficient though and 4X4 is essential to access The Hill ( although easy enough). Communication with the owners was good and Telstra coverage is OK.

Excellent campsite. Hosts communicated well. Directions were easy to follow. Had the whole property to ourselves and it was super relaxing. Good firepit, plenty of wood to collect and walks around the property. Just what the doctor ordered to relax and unwind.

Camping at the hill was great! Easy to find, great instructions to get there and honestly was a dream. Would recommend, in a very convenient spot to access the Bunya mountains. Hosts communicated well too, which is a big plus!

Camping at Lower Valley View is a great spot with views across the hillside. We really enjoyed our stay there and would have no hesitation returning again. Great instructions from the host to find the property and site.

Our group loved camping at Tinara. Our first night was at Valley View which was gorgeous, but the wind was a little crazy so we asked to move down to the Glen which made our stay even more enjoyable. The site was so comfortable, the cows and calves so welcoming and inquisitive, and the stars were epic. It was also nice and convenient to Bunya Mountains NP and Coomba Falls. Quentin and Tamara were awesome communicators and we would happily stay here again.

This is a fantastic spot! We have been here a few times now but decided to come again. We got to relax, take in all the beautiful scenery and pet the horses. My partner also proposed to me… what a fantastic weekend. Thank you for letting us stay once again! ☺️

Location was great, outlook was great. However there was cow crap everywhere. Unfortunately you couldn’t walk a single step without stepping in a fresh one. Otherwise good.

We had a great weekend at Tinara. Absolutely no one around. An amazing night sky with lots of satellite spotting. We went for a drive to Bunya mountains and then back for lunch at Maidenwell pub then back to camp to cook a camp oven, and drinks by the fire in the afternoon. A very cool night and a frost in the morning was nice. We towed our 15ft van to the hill without any problems but you would want a reasonable 4wd and offroad van for it. I enjoyed it being a bit of a challenge to get to the site.

Such a beautiful spot for some peace and quiet. Had a lovely warm camp fire under the sky full of stars, the cows gathering in for some warmth and inquisitive to what is going on. Would definitely recommend if after some peace and quiet!

We originally booked Creekside but when we drove past the lower valley view camp and saw the view we immediately phoned Quentin and he was more than happy to let us stay there instead. The view over the valley was beautiful and we loved the peace and quiet here. We enjoyed visits from the horses and giving them treats. The night sky was magnificent! Absolutely no noise or light pollution here. We have more to explore at the Bunya Mountains so will definitely be coming back to Tinara.

Schmick spot! Camping the Creekside (the Glen) area was secluded and quiet - plenty of room for multiple cars and crew! Beautiful walks around the property and not too far from the Bunya Mountains and Cooma Falls which were definitely the best spots in the area!

Absolutely gorgeous, relaxing, peaceful time away at Tinara Farm. We loved feeding carrots to the ponies, exploring the farm on our many walks, admiring the views. sitting by the fire and watching the multitude of stars at night. Love also that they’re keeping it small so there’s not too many people there together. Marvellous hosts, checked in on us via message and made us feel very welcome. Thanks for having us Quentin and Tamara, we recommend this Hipcamp to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing weekend away.

What a spot! The Hill campsite is picturesque and the perfect place to escape. We loved interacting with the friendly horses. The hosts were just as friendly. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!!

We loved our stay at the Hill. The expansive site offers beautiful views and is very quiet and relaxing. Directions were clear and the property is only a short drive away to the Bunya mountains and the local water hole.

We had a lovely stay at Tinara on the Hill, it was lush and green with beautiful cows and ponies. We were the only campers there and we enjoyed the peace and opportunity to truly get away from it all. Tamara and Quentin were very responsive and great to deal with. We were easily able to access the Bunya mountains and Coomba falls.

This would have to be the quietest campsite I have ever stayed at. So private it felt like we were the only humans for miles. The cows would come visit every afternoon and the calves would try and be brave by getting as close as they could. The three horses Milo, Jo-Jo and Misty would also visit for a scratch and some carrots and liquorice.
