Welcome to The Magic Pond, an idyllic private property escape nestled on Kabi Kabi Country, by a serene lake. Located 10 minutes off the highway, 45 minutes from Brisbane City and minutes away from the local beach and a small town, it's the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a wholesome family retreat. Couples can savor the tranquil ambiance, bask in breathtaking sunsets, and create cherished memories under the stars. Families will appreciate the peaceful surroundings, with ample space to explore, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Enjoy the lake to its fullest with your kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, or feel free to borrow ours at no charge (located on the banks). When you're ready for a change of scenery, visit the charming local cafes in Beachmere, such as Silver Spoon, Black Cat Eatery, and Beachmere Takeaway. You’ll also find an IGA, bottle shop, and Tavern, as well as a dog-friendly beach, 3-4 minute drive from The Pond. With Bribie Island and Sandstone Point 25 minutes away, you'll have convenient access to events at the Sandstone Point Hotel. Important Information: The Magic Pond is a private property, not a commercial business. The land is suitable for self-sufficient campers only. THERE ARE NO AMENITIES, YOU NEED TO BRING OR HIRE YOUR OWN TOILET, WITHOUT ONE YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. No dumping of waste is permitted on the property. The closest dump point is Caboolture Showgrounds (140 Beerburrum Road, Caboolture 4510), which is open 24/7 and approximately 15 km from The Magic Pond. Firewood is available for purchase. Safety Information: In an emergency, phone 000. Caboolture Hospital is located at 87 McKean Street, Caboolture, approximately 9.1 km from The Magic Pond. Site/Property Rules: 1. No Parties: Unless advised prior Please be respectful of our neighbours 2. Noise: Keep noise to a minimum past 10 PM 3. Driving: Please drive safely and slowly on the property (15 km/h), especially along the fence line, as this is a shared space with children, dogs, and geese 4. Leave No Trace: What you bring you take home 5. Camp Areas Only: Please keep wondering to the designated camp areas only, there is a private residence and an off-lead guard dog 6. Pets: Your furry family are welcome, however, keep them on a lead and PICK UP POO.

Very quiet and serene campsite overlooking the lake. Easy access, great instructions from Mitch. Close to town, shops and pub. Great weekend getaway. Will definitely visit again

Outstanding Hipcamp with Fab Hosts

Absolutely outstanding Hipcamp. The beautiful, peaceful setting and the use of Kayaks were much appreciated. One camper did use a generator, but let us know that his van had lost power and was being remotely repaired; we were offered the opportunity to plug in. It wasn't noisy, allowing us to recharge our own batteries. Would highly recommend the Hipcamp. Thanks Mitch and Holly for allowing us to return and enjoy your property once again.

Very nice in my caravan next to the pond. Peaceful and relaxing. Extended my stay from a couple of days to a week. Mitch very helpful and quick to respond to messages. A little different with the old structures but they add character to the place. Two suggestions, 1) expand and add power, 2) publicise don’t hide the history.

We had a great short Stay at Magic pond. There was a nice mowed grassy camp site with a provided fire drum. We had 3 caravans in our group with plenty of room for a communal area between us. It’s close to home so we will be back again one weekend soon.

Nice and tranquil for sitting around and reading a book. Peacedul outlook. Paddled on the little pond. Fire pit was great to sit around at night. Nice place for us to get to know our new van for a few nights.

A lovely spot at Magic Pond! 🌿 Camped at Area A with dogs — peaceful, great views over the water, and plenty of birds and wildlife around. Loved watching the pelican cruise by in the pond. Beautiful weather and a super relaxing stay. Thanks, Mitch! 🐾✨

We absolutely loved camping with our van in area B. We had other campers there at the time and they were all so wonderful. We all had a great time on the kayaks. I definitely recommend camping here.

This camping spot was beautiful. Sharing the site with others was fine! Plenty of room around and it was relatively quiet. The furry friends roaming was definitely adorable and a highlight. The lakes on both sides created lovely scenic views to wake up to and to use on a warm day. We will definitely be back :)

Space was beautiful. Lots of nature, birds, lizards, geese. Stunning sunrise and just super peaceful. Clean, tidy and mowed. Close to Bribie, Caboolture and northlakes. Instructions are easy just follow them step by step, google maps told us it was the place nextdoor but we ignored that and went to the number on the booking. Would have been nice to see the name of the place on the front gate, just so we new we weren't trespassing haha.

Fabulous location, Great host! Just a real shame they allow people to use generators!! In this day and age, noisy generators should be totally banned in this what normally could be a peaceful and very tranquil location.

Lovely, tranquil and breezy site. $22 a night would be ok but it is per person, so wife and I can get fullly catered sites (power / water / showers and toilets) for that $44 fee rate. Seems strange as the motorhome does not generate any additional costs as fully self contained and all waste is trucked out? Likely we will not revisit here but very pleasant other than the fee rate.

What a lovely place to camp. So nice having a water views and the boys were able to kayak and SUP. Mitch has done an awesome job in the short time they have been open. Will definitely visit again

Great communications with the host. Arrive in the daylight so you can see where to go because there’s a mirror image campsite literally next door! I might need to come back because I booked and didn’t end up staying so that’s why I can’t recommend yet.

Absolutely Fantastic Hipcamp! Initially booked for 3 Weeks and loved it so much we extended. We stayed at Area B, off-grid, the water on both sides of the site was just glorious. Thank you Mitch & Holly for making us feel so welcome.

We loved camping at the magic pond.. so relaxing and the free use of kayaks and paddleboard were a bonus.. will definitely be back again soon to enjoy the peace and serenity of this beautiful place

Clean. Friendly. Picturesque. Perfect in every way. Hosts met us on the way in. Offered a couple of beautiful spacious spots as they had cancellations. Delivered our wood we paid for when booking. The Magic Pond, a little treasure so close to home. We had a very relaxing weekend sitting by the waters edge watching the bird life and chilling by the camp fire. Firewood available on site from the honesty stall. Camp area was grassy, level, clean and on the waters edge. There are kayaks and stand up paddle boards for use. Along with firepits for each site. Mitch was great with his communication, from directions when booking, to welcome and thank you messages. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

The area is neglected and littered withy run down building and shower stalls and platforms.. The areas are small for Hipcamp spots. We had the area on our own which was good. There is a litter of assorted detritus as you enter the property and it is untidy and unwelcoming The rules make it very clear the owners dont want anything to do with guest even telling them not to walk near the house but stay in the camp are for a walk.. At all other Hipcamps we have stayed at we have ben made welcome by owners and have respected their privacy and they ours, The rules seem over the top.
