TerraLyra is situated on 55 acres of beautiful Fraser Coast Hinterland, surrounded by natural forests and land formations, and blessed with abundant wildlife. We offer 8 powered sites and 20 camp sites. Take a walk through the young forest up to the ridge amongst more mature gums and other native trees. Enjoy the Paperbark gum and Balga plant areas and find the hidden baby nature dam where you will be mesmerized by its beauty and serenity. We have been told that it is a great place for contemplation and meditation. Our large dam is home to fish and many native ducks, herons, swamp hens, cormorants, and more. Bird song trills through the forest daily, with flocks of wild parrots in the high trees. Occasionally, goannas and dragon lizards can be seen sunning themselves, and later in the day, wallabies and kangaroos can be seen making their move. Look out for the native brown and green frogs. Bring your kayak and paddle and swim in the large dam. There are great bike trails in the nearby Glenwood forest areas. We offer camping with a difference, providing a special place of rest and restoration with other optional extras, such as healings and readings onsite, alongside other activities like sky watch and fire ceremonies.

The two person Bell Tent is set up with 2 super comfy mattress stretchers, small table, and inside light and outside chairs. Complimentary Kayaks available to paddle across the dam, a bird spotters paradise. At night a fire pit awaits for your own personal use to sit in warmth under the panorama of stars. Forage for wood for the fire pit there is plenty! Or bring your own. Also bring: *your pillow and sleeping bag/linen *matches /lighter *torch The amenities area i.e, bush kitchen, toilet, hot/cold shower and large covered deck with table and chairs are all common use and situated within a 60 second walk. The Bell tent is all yours. You can park your car next to the site. Real bliss, 55 acres of varied forest, fields, dams and wildlife with some trails and tracks to wander and take in the flora and fauna. A refreshing walk up to the higher ridge balga plant forest and back down to the lower paper bark forest and maybe you will find the hidden 'baby dam'. My man and I loved tent camping along the water. The sunset views and starry nights were to die for. So peaceful and the ladies who run the stay were absolutely wonderful. While packing up my car wouldn't start so they came down and fixed my car. Dogs were so cute and my puppy had an amazing time swimming in the dam. As a young couple with a dog, this place was perfect.

Amazing campsite! Great amenities, stunning view from the terrace. The host was so welcoming and great. We even got the chance to use the two kayaks. Absolutely recommend, such a relaxing and calming atmosphere!

Peaceful Campsite
Beautiful and peaceful property. It was one of the busiest times of the year but they kept the number of people low. Heather and Co. were always up for a chat over the coffee machine in the morning. It's only a few kms off the hiway but we couldn't hear any traffic. A dip in the dam is a nice refreshing way to start the day. If you want peace and quiet, this is the perfect spot for you.

Great long weekend away with my family. We were swimming in the dam and my girls were able to go exploring in the bush. Hosts made some great coffees to help me get through the weekend.

We stayed over the October weekend & while it was very busy, we still felt like we had enough space on our site. The amenities were cleaned regularly & we really enjoyed that warm shower! Hosts were wonderful, we felt very welcomed :-). It was a bit of a hike up to the toilet/shower but on wonderful property! Would see us coming back to try it out when it’s not the long weekend off for everyone to get a bit more of the healing 🌞

Sadly, our stay was cut short. Heather and her partner were very accommodating to change our booking until further notice. The time we had we spent bush walking, kayaking and chillaxing. There is a load of firewood, a camp kitchen, a flush toilet and a shower. We are looking forward to catching up with our lovely host again soon.

An amphitheatre centered around a peaceful dam. Beautiful 360 cosmos views. This property will set your spirits free. Heather warmly welcomed us and had every amenity all maintained perfectly. Many secluded sites to choose from at this hidden gem. We had an amazing time and will be returning again in the future. Highly recommend 👌🤩

We enjoyed our stay at TerraLyra. It is quiet and peaceful, we camped at 3 trees by the Lake and there is plenty of available space. The campgrounds are kept well and the amenities block is clean. Heather is a friendly and helpful host. We will definitely return for more rest and relaxation.

I loved camping near the beautiful vibrant dam waking up to the plethora of birdsong. Divine. It looks spring fed. The camp kitchen is very useful with fridge, stove and kettle. TerraLyra is a very special space and Heather Is friendly and fun. Recommended if you are looking for basic camping with a little convenience.

We had a lovely one-night stay at this campsite. Heather was very accommodating, coming out to meet us and show us the amenities despite us arriving when it was already dark! Toilet, shower and camp kitchen were perfectly clean and functional. We had a lovely walk around the land in the morning and wished we’d stayed longer - it is so peaceful and surrounded by nature (wallabies, birdlife etc). Would definitely recommend this spot!

We had an amazing time at this campsite! My family really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and beautiful scenery, from kayaking on the calm waters to relaxing by the bonfire. The host was incredibly accommodating. She quickly offered us an alternative spot for our bonfire, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A perfect mix of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

Upon arriving Heather really assisted on where to go. She gave a really good tour up at the centre to show where everything was. They have a map on their fridge which is awesome. They also have working toilet, shower and have a bush kitchen with all the essentials you need. Powered and uncovered sites available. We chose uncovered which was a beautiful spot at Big trees. 3 of them. Beautiful spot to ourselves which can cater up to 3/4 vehicles and 12 people. Lots of walking around, alot of beautiful animal sounds and beautiful colors in the sky for a sunset. It was also very quite. We saw absolutely nobody else on the campsite with us. It was amazing and we would go back.

Beautiful landscape with Utterly Stunning Lake Host (Heather) was highly welcoming, friendly with quick response time. Our Bell tent was set up beautifully, with the most direct and lovely view of the lake Close to the camp kitchen and flushing toilet. Campgrounds were beautifully designed with a plethora of mini walks throughout the land. Lot of space to spread out. There was only 1 more party. Felt Extremely private.

Great spot...very spacious and loved the lakeside camping with access to kayaks. Very peaceful. Facilities- kitchen, hot shower, toilet - are super clean. Lots of nice walks around the property. Host, Heather, is very friendly and provided good instructions. Will be back.

Large Tent Set up for your stay
We had an awesome time with my two boys, would have stayed an extra night if we could so we could explore the property a bit more. The tent was set up by the host as described and all we had to do was bring our own sleeping bags. We had the fire cracking and there was plenty of fire wood around us to make it last. Heather greeted us and was an awesome host throughout. She gave us recommendations on some good spots to check out on our way back home and we actually went to all of them and had a lot of fun. Would definitely come back.

Large Tent Set up for your stay
What a beautiful place it is, I loved my stay. Terralyra is a place for healing and sanctuary. The tent was large enough and the views from my tent were lovely. The showers and toilets were very clean, and Bush kitchen had everything I needed to cook and store my food. I enjoyed my coffee time sitting on the deck and inspired by reading the 4x4 adventure stories of Australia in a magazine that was left on the table. The host welcomed me and showed me everything I need to know during my stay, thank you Heather and Lousie, I will see you soon.

Hidden Paradise! We had a wonderfull stay and we loved the beautiful landscape. The owners are very lovely people and we felt safe everytime. The powered site fit our campervan 6m very well. Practical campkitchen, clean toilet and shower. We highly recommend this place!

We had an incredible stay at this camp! It’s the perfect spot if you’re after peace, space, and a touch of comfort. We stayed on the 3 trees by the lake camp site where there was heaps of room to spread out and we were able to bring our dog along who absolutely loved it! We had a picnic by the dam for my birthday, and utilised the onsite kayaks for a paddle. There’s one flushing toilet, one shower and a camp kitchen that has everything you might need to cook up a good meal if you prefer to have your creature comforts on a camp trip. We loved exploring the bush walks around the property, and went spotlighting at night to see some gliders and possums in the trees. The owners Heather & Louise were incredibly friendly and welcoming, happy to help but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy the surroundings. All in all, it was one of the best camping experiences we’ve had! Highly recommend 😊

We loved our stay at Terralyra. We needed a getaway but being Easter weekend we thought everywhere would be crammed! TerraLyra proved us wrong, capped at only 15 camps on 54acres we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Our dog loved it too. Will definitely come again
