My children and I stayed for two nights in July to celebrate their 30th and 13th birthdays. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing experience I’ve had across many years of using Airbnb and similar platforms.
While the cabin was clean and generally well-maintained, it lacked adequate winter preparation. The heating/air-conditioning unit was not functional, and there were not enough blankets provided. Had we not brought extra sleeping bags and blankets, we would not have been able to stay due to the extreme cold.
Guests should also be aware that returning to the cabin, or walking around the yard, after 9:30 PM will be an issue. My daughter and her friend arrived at 10 PM and were berated for being “too late” for elderly neighbors. Being shouted at in the dark was not only unsettling—it was far more disruptive than the vehicle’s arrival itself.
We also asked, admittedly a day before arrival, if my daughter’s friend could camp with her dog. We were told not to bring the dog because the host’s eight dogs would bark all night. This seems inconsistent with the listing's pet-friendly status.
Most upsetting was my autistic son being yelled at for picking up dead grass clippings, accused of “stealing” them from the chickens. The situation was unnecessarily aggressive and frightening for him.
Overall, this stay fell well below expectations. I would not recommend this Hipcamp listing to families, pet owners, or anyone seeking a warm and welcoming environment.

Lovely place. Got pretty much everything you need. Just need to bring a few things. Bed was comfortable. Loved watching the horses and dogs. Diana was lovely.

Easy to get to, simple, country escape. Very clean cabin, comfy beds, lovely hot shower, with everything you need for a short break. Diana such a friendly and helpful host - including blue sparkles for our camp fire with the kids, definitely a highlight!

My sister and I loved waking up and seeing the goats and horses. The host was very accommodating and helpful. It’s a nice and peaceful spot.

We absolutely loved our trip!
The cabin was so modern and clean.
The grassed area was just perfect for our one year old to run around and drive her trike (lots of space),
She loved looking at the baby goats, and horses and the 7 doggies!
The host was amazing!, soo attentive and helpful, she baught us over home baked cakes and bread!
Nice hot showers, and fire pit on a evening with wood already provided and chopped was a bonus!

beautiful cabin, so well appointed it was like new. Diana was welcoming and lovely settling us in. 2 day old goat/kids were georgeous! lucky timing for us. the grounds were fantastic

The facilities are marvellous, everything is pretty much brand new. Diana was a lovely host. I loved having a cup of tea in the morning watching the goats in the field.
