Ever been swimming in two states at the same time? Ideally set between the Severn & Dumaresq Rivers and Pikes Creek. ‘Riversdale’ is a 4200acre working cattle and irrigation property located just below the Glenlyon Dam, 80km south west of Stanthorpe Qld and 65km west of historic Tenterfield NSW. Enjoy fishing, swimming and paddling around in the crystal clear water or just sit back and take in the spectacular views across Sundown National Park and the Mole River Valley. Be in two states at the same time, with the river the border between Qld and NSW. Enjoy the abundant wildlife in the region include an incredible array of bird life and even, on occasion, the reclusive platypus. Go boating and fishing (with a permit) on the Glenlyon Dam. Explore Sundown National Park (10km away) or spend a day (or 2) visiting the numerous wineries, orchards and sites around the Granite Belt, including Giraween and Bald Rock National Parks. Be as adventurous or as rested as you please.

Hill Camp is a beautiful open camp area with spectacular views across Sundown Nation Park and the Mole River Valley. You can even glimpse Glenlyon Dam. Guests will have the camp area to themselves. There are no hookups, no water and no bathroom amenities here, guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace.

Our 2 bedroom accommodation is the ideal base to explore from, featuring open plan living/dining/kitchen, ample outdoor space including a firepit, it comfortably sleeps up to 8 people. Access is directly off the bitumen and full mobile (Telstra) coverage is available. Bedroom 1 - Queen Bed and 2 Singles. Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed. Living Room - Queen Sofa Bed. Cot available on request. 1 Bathroom. Washing Machine available. BBQ. Mobile Coverage. Coffee machine. Iron + ironing board. Hair dryer. Basic necessities provided. Linen provided.

The Vet Shed
A beautiful spot with considerate and thoughtful hosts. The Vet Shed is well provisioned with lots of handy things you’d normally have at home. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Robyn was very responsive and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely come back with the family and friends.

The Vet Shed
Awesome little spot with great views from the outdoor fire pit area. Morning and afternoon visits from the kangaroos. Everything you need for a relaxing weekend away.

Luxurious glamping!

The Vet Shed
We really loved glamping at the vet shed. It was very luxurious with all the amenities, linen, wifi, fully functional kitchen, fire pit and bbq. Robyn was very helpful and responsive to messages. We really loved the fire place in the back yard. There was even a washing machine for washing clothes. Everything was so well thought of to ensure we had a comfortable and luxurious stay for e.g the kitchen had Milo, coffee, hot chocolate, cornflakes, pasta etc. The fridge had sauces, milk, cold water. Bathroom was very clean and had top of the range amenities. The view from the backyard is breath taking with the mountain ranges in the back ground and it was very private with no one around. The glenlyon dam is near by and there are some fishing spots and river access areas which Robyn had mapped for us. Robyn’s attention to finer details in making our stay extra comfortable is highly commendable. Highly recommend the vet shed.
