Very quiet location beside a lovely billabong full of birdlife. Cattle wandered by occasionally to mix it up. Fifteen minutes to Ingham and 25 to the coast. Great spot.

Such a picturesque place, just loved it. Only downside is the cows are very close and they don’t sleep. Regardless would happily stay there again.

Stunning scenery, beautiful waterside location with the most amazing forms of life everywhere. Horses, cattle, wallabies galore, frogs, curlews and geese- even dingos howling last night. Huge empty space to live in. But bring the mozzie repellant!

Not a bad spot for self sufficient campers - just a bit annoyed about the accuracy of the ad. It said potable water (only bore water was available that they don’t recommend drinking) and it said toilets (there was some drops, the main toilet block was so backed up it looked like it had been sitting there blocked for a long time). There was lotssssss of big mozzies so bring your sprays. Other than that, nice grassy flat spots and close to Forrest Beach and Ingham. Also we paid $30 a night for this booking, when we arrived there was a box where you could pay $15 a night so I wish I had known that haha. Would’ve done that instead.

Beautiful spot to pull up for a few nights. Cattle greeted us on our way in and watch us set up, saw the croc eyes at night and Jacob was very friendly, taught our 5yo how to throw a boomerang :)

Beautiful spot to camp just out of Ingham. There is a communal fire place, so bring some wood and share. Nice spot to see some birds.

Large grassed sites with a lovely view over farm land. Only a short drive into Forrest Beach. Did the tour as well which was very good.

We loved the space and serenity of Mungalla.
We were welcomed at check in and left alone to enjoy. Close enough to town to enjoy the tourist spots. A great destination we loved coming home after days out to the peacefulness. We would definitely return.

Was charged $30 for one night with a campervan. Arrived at the site to find that the host was only charging $15 per campervan. Would recommend just paying cash on arrival, don't go through HipCamp.
Toilets were filthy and the ladies shower didn’t run, have seen better facilities at free council campsites. The site was beautiful though, so its a shame that the facilities weren't better looked after.

No designated camp areas. Get there early set up with the family to have delinquents come camp right on top of us.
Toilets and showers are basic yes, we knew this from our first couple trips here but now they are unusable.
There was also some really terrible pathetic music coming from the main house until 230am.

Lovely quiet location. Plenty of shade and lawn. Fire pits and pets allowed. We really enjoyed our stay. Had the place to ourselves.

No designated areas for camping all campers on top of each other on a large property. Shower and toilets are in a very sad state of repair, shower heads broken no toilet doors no seats, , party at properties main house until 2.30am playing loud music , so was glad to pack up and leave today! , drinking water ? Nice location but poorly maintained.

The site was beautiful, was lovely to camp on grass, however where we were situated the mozzies were the worst I have ever seen, we had to sit in the car to eat dinner and lock our self into the test for the rest of the night, even in the morning they were really bad. The other campers a little way up from us didn’t seem to have any issues. So maybe was just where we were under the umbrella tree beside the station house.

Arrived to find I’d missed the tour. Disappointing considering I had no start time and would have been there the following day butvwas informed no tour that day. Didn’t atay due to the rain which was unfortunate.

Loved our stay at Mungalla Station. Quite popular however everyone was quiet and respectful resulting in a very peaceful stay. Stunning sunset and loved watching the cows and horses. Thanks for having us!

On arrival we were greeted by everyone we drove past on the road into station and directed to the camping area, we then signed into the book at the office.
While setting up we were greeted by Jacob who explained to us the lay of the land. He mentioned the bathrooms and apologised for the quality of them due to them being working facilities. Honestly they were fine. Old yes, but immaculately clean and fully functional with a fantastic shower. Compared to some we have seen they were luxury.
We had had a fair bit of rain for the week or 2 beforehand so the mossies were pretty fierce at sunrise and sunset (we were warned) so make sure you have the appropriate spray or coils just in case.
We set up for a fire at the communal fire pit and had firwood delivered to us.
We were also lucky to see the croc (old fella) sunbathing on a bank when we were there.
We would stay there again in a shot, we felt safe, comfortable and absolutely loved it.
