Located in the Lockyer Valley less than 2 hours from Brisbane, Mt Castle Valleys consists of over 8000 acres of Australian bushland bordering world heritage national park and Gondwana Rainforest. Stay at a beautiful creekside campsite and have access to over 100km of walking trails ranging in difficulty from beginner level to experienced. During the wet season, cool off in the waterfalls and naturally occuring swimming holes located on the property. Have a chance to spot the local wildlife including koalas, brushtail rock wallabies and a huge range of native bird species. Visitors are welcome to bring their own bicycle and cycle on all established tracks. The Valleys campsite is surrounded on all sides with native bushland. Pitch your tent on a grassy field beside the creek and keep an eye out for wildlife, including koalas, wallabies and a huge range of native bird species. Digitally unplug, with no phone coverage at the site, but retain peace of mind with phone coverage available within a 15 minute drive if you need to reconnect with the outside world. On your way here, consider visiting Pioneer Village in Laidley and the local lavender farm. IMPORTANT NOTE: There are no amenities at the campsites and bush toileting or burying waste is strictly prohibited. You must being a camping toilet and toilet waste must be disposed of off site at an appropriate facility.

The Valleys - Creekside Field is a beautiful and secluded creek-side campsite, surrounded on all sides with native bushland, for total privacy. Pitch your tent on a grassy field beside the creek and keep an eye out for the local wildlife, including koalas, wallabies and a huge range of native bird species. From this campsite, you have has easy access to both low intensity and high intensity walking tracks, totalling in over 100km of trails ranging in difficulty from beginner level to experienced. We welcome only self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet and drinking water. Bush toileting and burial of waste is strictly prohibited. Failure to bring a camping toilet will result in your booking being cancelled. Ensuring low impact camping is part of our ongoing conservation efforts. We recommend 4WDs to access the property, and you must ensure your vehicle is suitable for rocky creek crossings. If you're unsure about your vehicle please message us.   Digitally unplug, with no phone coverage at the site, but retain peace of mind with phone coverage available within a 15 minute drive if you need to reconnect with the outside world. Perfect reception-free escape

We loved camping with our hybrid caravan at Mt Castle Valleys at the mountain view site. Our plans changed & Laura kindly removed the 48hr notice peroid so we could stay last minute. We spent a total of 5 days on the property. It was very peaceful & quiet. There is only one other campsite and its so far away you can't hear or see anyone only if you walk past it to access the walking tracks. We got to meet both Laura & Glynn who kindly shared some history of the property & were kind enough to give us additional information about the walking tracks. We did book this thinking this was closer to Tarome/ Aratula after only glancing at the map but it sits on the other side of Mt Castle and requires travel through Laidley. It is the perfect location if you're completely self sufficient and want to setup and stay in the one spot to explore for a couple of days. We managed to get enough reception to send an sms only with the new iPhone satellite feature. We are planning to return soon and look forward to completing some of the other walking tracks!

Very scenic campsite beside the creek. Creek had enough water for a swim and was beautiful and clear. Private campsite - can’t see anyone else! Walks are fantastic. Particularly the walk to the Rock Hole Basin. Laura welcomed us at the gate. Highly recommend.

the privacy and seclusion was awsome, the camp site was very large well grassed and level. cows and calves wandered through the campsite. the creek running the full length of the camp site was beautiful. amazing views of mount castle at dawn and dusk

We rode the hill up to amazing views. Loved the grasstrees. Had a day of rain which boosted the already flowing well creek. The winter sky beautiful. Thank you.

Shhhhh. I want to keep this a secret 🙊. Lovely peaceful spot next to the creek with a nice little swimming hole. Nice walking tracks as well, but just wandering along the farm track is beautiful if you're not up for a bigger walk. Great firepits as well for a decent fire and to get the camp ovens going. Thanks Laura for sharing your beautiful home. We will definitely be back.

Very nice area, nobody else was staying at the other campsite when we were there so completely private. Didn’t see the owners at all but that’s no problem for us. There was a box with info and emergency first aid kit and PLB provided which is a good inclusion for emergencies. Lovely cattle on the property roaming around, nice creek to explore.

Nice drive in with a shallow rocky creek crossing and a couple of other little crossings. Responsive host. Great for a group and fantasic views. Shade in morning and afternoon. Nice and private. 10/10 and will be back.

If you're looking for a place to camp and get away from it all, then this could very well be the place for you. A choice of a couple of secluded sites with either mountain views or a stay beside a beautiful creek. There also some walks to be undertaken by the adventurous camper. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I will certainly be back. Thanks Laura.

What a spectacular part of the world! If you crave getting back to nature and a little bit of soul restoration this is the place for you. You most likely wont see another soul, no phone reception a beautiful babbling creek and surrounded by mountains. It really was a slice of heaven!

Another glorious stay at this wonderful property. The creek was running well after the recent rains and the water was the clearest I have seen in all our various stays over the last year. We spent the first hot day laying in the creek - pure bliss! Laura, as always, was a stellar host.

We really enjoyed our time at this campsite. The views of Mt Castle are amazing. The creek provided a cool area to explore with our children and the site was lovely and grassy, level and spacious. We were the only campers at the time we visited and the site was beautiful and peaceful. Would definitely recommend.

What a beautiful spot. I was camped by the riverside (which despite not having rain recently, still had a few pools to splash in) and on a beautiful expansive meadow. Many walking trails and places to explore, you couldn’t get bored here. Didn’t cross a soul for days (except when our car battery died and Lauras lovely dad was able to assist us). Would 100% come back again!

We had a lovely 2 nights. So quiet and peaceful. Look forward to another visit when there is perhaps a little more water in the creek. Loved the curious cows and calves coming up close to the camp.
