Phenomenal campsite with full privacy, fully functioning toilet/ shower and immaculate surroundings. The hosts were very personable and responsive. The campsite is close to Dayboro for any essentials you may have forgotten. Absolutely loved our time there and so lucky to have beautiful weather.

We had the pleasure of meeting our host, Ryan, who was both warm and welcoming. His knowledge of the area and its history was impressive, and his passion for the land was truly evident. The care and dedication he puts into maintaining the HiCamp site really stood out.
The location itself was wonderful, offering the serenity and natural beauty of the Australian bush. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the sense of having the space entirely to ourselves.
We would happily recommend this HiCamp to anyone seeking a relaxing and private retreat. Thank you, Ryan, for a memorable stay.

Thank you Ryan & family for sharing your property. The facilities were clean & the very large grass area mowed & well maintained. We camped during a bit of a heatwave & were grateful for the shower to have a quick cool off. Friendly cows, little pggies & even a field mouse visited. Will be back & looking forward to seeing the creek flowing. Easy directions to follow & quick trip into Dayboro if you need anything or just want to support the lovely little township.

This was such a great spot! Ryan was lovely and the area was well maintained. It felt very private and the prefect spot to take our dog. Having a shower and toilet was an added luxury. Would definitely stay again

What an amazing property situated in the middle of farming country. The section is very private and quiet, with plenty of places for tents. The shower and composting toilet are great too. I spent two nights with my small tent and my car. The only downside is lack of shade so ended up using the shower block as a shadey place to cool meals. Definitely recommend a morning walk up to the turn off too. The horses and cows are very friendly. Ryan made sure I was all settled in and communication was excellent. Definitely recommend!

We loved our stay at Mckenzie creek. So private, clean and yet close to Daybrough town for lunch. I felt safe camping there with our 13 month old who loved playing around the campsite. The hot shower and toilet all to ourselves felt like 7 star camping 🏕

Beautiful spot. Enjoyed watching the birds fly around the area. Shower and toilet where good for the first time campers on the trip.

Love coming here. It’s quiet, nice views, all the amenities for comfortable camping. Easy access in and out for the caravan and lots of room to set up. Enjoyed exploring the creek with the dogs. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately we didn't go at the best time. Creek was dry at the time and lots of mosquitoes around. I think the location is good and the facilities are really handy, and it's private.

Fabulous little spot with all the facilities including power! Private site with incredible bird wildlife. Ryan was wonderful, dropping by to make sure everything was ok for us and telling us a bit about the history of the property and the areas around it. Excellent way to spend a weekend so close to Brisbane and to be able to have a hot shower was just amazing!

We loved camping at Lacey’s Creek on Ryan and Jess’ property. Clean amenities were great. The site was tidy and flat with some lovely shade from a large tree in the corner of the lot. It felt private yet it was close to the road and easy access to Dayboro township.
Ryan and Jess were super helpful and dropped by to make sure we were settled in and good to go. I’d recommend bringing games or a good book as there is limited activity in the area. Also very limited phone and internet service. We brought solar and battery power but there is a power supply if needed on site. Highly recommend if you want to dip your toes into camping without being too out of the way.

We absolutely loved our stay at McKenzie Creek. The touch of luxury with the shower, toilet, running water and power outlet were enough to turn our non-camper into a “I’d go again” camper. The area is peaceful, quiet and spacious and the host is super helpful and communicated well. I’d highly recommend staying at this hicamp.

This spot is lovely. Ultimate camping luxury; there was a hot water shower, composting toilet, power, and a sink with running water. Everything was clean and worked.
The cows and creek made this place unique. They were very friendly and would visit the fence line often and they walked through to get to the creek. Overall the land was beautiful, well-kept, and the hills just looked amazing at sunset.
Bonus - the bird life was exceptional! Red backed wrens played in the grass the lined the campsite, wedge-tailed eagles circled above, and we saw a couple of uncommon dove types, just to name a few.

Best spot ever, so quiet and peaceful. Loved the cows who came to say hi, the site was quite roomy and very private. Lovely clean compost toilet and hot shower. Great spot to unwind surrounded by farm land and hills. We will definitely be back.
