Lalipanzi is an absolute hidden gem, and it is the most well set up Hipcamp I have been to! Rodger has done a wonderful job setting up the campsite with EVERYTHING you could possibly dream of. As experienced campers we are used to bringing everything with us and it was such a treat to have everything ready for us. It was the perfect place to relax with my group of friends after hiking the nearby Tabletop Mountain (definitely check it out!). We will absolutely be returning and we can’t thank Rodger and Jenny enough for being such great hosts!

Rodger and Jenny have made the most comfortable campsite I have ever stayed at. They are naturally wonderful hosts and were so helpful and kind, assisting us with some 4WD trouble up the track (it was pretty full on! A very cool experience but be sure your car is cut out for it) and gave us a tour of the campsite and its facilities. This campsite had absolutely everything you could ever need. Solar powered fridge, sink, drying rack, cleaning cloths and soaps, pots and pans, a gas burner, trash cans, hand soaps, USB chargers, teas and coffees, all sorts of cutlery and dishes, a first aid kit. Quite literally everything you could ever need. I spent the whole trip thinking ‘that is such a great idea!’
It is clear that Rodger and Jenny put so much effort into their beautiful campsite and we were so blessed to be able to stay there.

This was the best Hipcamp that I have stayed at thus far. I went with my two large bread dogs and we camped in a tent. The view was stunning, it truly felt like a private getaway. Rodger and Jenny have set up a fantastic site with everything you could need, including a full kitchen, pots, pans, stove, kettle and a fridge. The bathroom is also fantastic and the shower was lovely and refreshing during the heatwave. Rodger and Jenny were also incredible hosts, meeting me upon arrival and helping get my gear up to the site as I only have a 2WD. We will absolutely be back!!

Lalapanzi Heights is a unique setup that will keep both serious campers and their reluctant friends very comfortable. Be sure to check what is already there, because you will probably need less gear than you think (there is literally a kitchen sink ... with a plumbed drain!).
Roger has a keen natural hospitality which genuinely wants guests to have a great experience, which is reflected in how he has set up the site.
About the only difficulty for us was the last 400m to the campsite is definitely 4x4 low-range-gear only ... a vehicle we didn't have. We were reliant on Roger to ferry our gear up and down in the Rover, which he made no trouble of at all. Asked nicely with enough notice, he also happily agreed to bring our full esky up the hill after we went shopping for a mid-camp resupply mission (it was easy enough to carry the empty one down, walking). Not having our 2WD vehicle *at the campsite* added some mild extra planning to our usual camping experience, but it didn't hinder us much.
All told we loved the privacy, facilities, great shade options and serenity, all a short drive from Toowoomba. We would recommend it as an easy getaway for groups between 6 and 12 people.

My partner and I had a blissful weekend at Rodger and Jenny’s Hipcamp and highly recommend to other campers! The faculties were great and we especially loved the Braai set up over the fire pit. We are looking forward to coming back again sometime.

The little rondawel, bathroom, camp-kitchen and fire pit is everything you could ever need for the perfect bush-experience. We loved the privacy and comfort of the set-up and enjoyed exploring the beautiful bush land around the campsite.

Really beautiful site. Tranquil and private. Lovely bush walk up to the ridge above.
Facilities are great, fireplace annd supposed firewood a total gem, and you can come with very little. Hosts were really welcoming, we had a great time and I’ll defo be back

We had such a fantastic overnight stay at Rodger and Jenny’s campsite. The grounds were spotless and had everything you could hope for with an inviting fire pit, a well-equipped camp kitchen, and the luxury of a flushing toilet and hot shower right in the middle of the bush. Rodger was a wonderful host, personally showing us around and explaining the amenities. Hands down, this has been our favourite Hipcamp spot so far. Only wish we could have a stayed a few more nights!

We stayed at Rodger’s place for my partner’s birthday with a group of friends, and it couldn’t have been better. The site was spacious, well-kept, and had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing weekend. Rodger was friendly and welcoming, making sure we had what we needed without being intrusive. The peaceful surroundings and setup made it feel like a private getaway. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great spot to unwind with friends or celebrate a special occasion. Totally isolated! Just us, the bush and stars.
Rodger was a fantastic host and the camp is extremely well set up. Fully stocked camp-kitchen including fridge, gas cooktop and running water. Bathroom with flushing toilet and hot shower.
We like to try new places every time we camp, but this is the one site we will definitely return.

Great little camping spot with everything needed for a great weekend away around a campfire! We loved our stay looking up at the clear night sky and all the stars! Cooking on the fire was a big highlight! Just what we needed

Such an amazing place! Everything you need is supplied even down to the pile of firewood for your stay! Comfy beds, hot showers and a great fire pit area and if you need to venture into town Toowoomba is only 15mins drive away . Rodger and Jenny were always happy to help with anything and great to have a chat with! Highly recommend this gem to anyone and everyone for a great few nights away in the peace and quiet.

We were lucky enough to have the whole site to ourselves. I was free to explore the site and it was beautiful. It was a nice space to recoup from a very long hike from the day. Thanks to Rodger for a great time.

The views and and open space of the site are absolutely gorgeous. We couldn't believe how private and set up we were there.
Having grown up in the bush I know a good outdoor life set up when I see one!
The hot shower was extra special, as were the sweet Green Tree Frogs who came to hang out in the bathroom.
The drive up is 100% 4x4 access only, only one of our 2 cars attempted (and succeeded!) And Rodger was kind enough to transport the rest of us and our belongings up the mountain.
I don't say this lightly, I'll take my car (Outlander) on many a path, it almost didn't make it and you will need height under the car.
The drive up was actually super fun, and we did the whole weekend with a 5 month old without any hassles at all.
