Lovely spot close to home. Wide open sites for options of multiple vans. Grounds are clear of debris for casual activities. Very enjoyable Hipcamp overall with the Lakeview at your doorstep.

What a great spot, it was pretty quiet when I stayed which was just perfect. It was great to be able to let my dog swim in the dam. Highly recommend, although I think in peak time it could get busy as I would think it would be popular with families and kids!

Such a serene and extremely private location, so close to Brisbane. Waking up to stunning lake views was the absolute best!! Well kept gardens and surroundings. The games area with pool table was a surprise. Lakeview was a great little find. So grateful to have found it. We’ll definitely be back to stay and for longer. 3 days definitely wasn’t enough 😊

Our weekend at Lakeside area 4 was so lovely & peaceful. The lake was great - perfect for paddle boarding and a relaxing float. Instructions were detailed about the area - ways to find our space. Lots of families enjoying the other areas - all with ample space. We will definitely head to lakeside again.

This location is the best camp on Hip Camp. Shane and Belinda have made improvements over the years we have been coming here. It is now too popular and near impossible to get a booking unless you book well ahead. That is reason behind my low rating “Now too popular”.

Great camp-site, so peaceful and relaxing. Economic stay when you book with someone else as price is by the site with up to 50 per site in some cases. Only negative was the bloody cane toads but nothing can be done about that. Thanks for a great stay.

Lakeview is a beautiful spot. Lovely sites with green grass and very well maintained. I was on site 5A which is back off the dam and a smaller site. Still has a fire pit, plenty of space. I found for a person on their own or a couple it is great as it offers a bit more privacy, but still with a view and access to the dam. It is great to have a cheaper site especially for one person making it affordable to stay. It would be great if some of the other sites back off the dam could be cut into 2 and make a few more cheaper sites for single people. I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

We love visiting Lakeview @ Beachmere. Lovely tranquil location with an abundance of bird life, easy picturesque walk around the lake, large sites and never overcrowded. (Spotted an Azure Kingfisher, Magpie Geese, ducks, waterhens, Willie wagtails nesting in the tree & fairy wrens)

Stayed before, heaps of space per camp site. Was very wet but drained well. Will be back for sure.

The room as your not camping on top of each other. The lake as great to swim/paddle in as bottom is not boggy. The water slide is great for the kids and adults too. The quietness and bird life about. There is area for children to play and climb.

I loved the large sites,the dogfriendly aspect.What i didn't like was the guy next door (different camp site) running his generator from 5am all day, it was hot and he used it to run his AC,he was inconsiderate.

Camping by the lake was amazing! Lots of wildlife to admire in their natural environment. Great spot for families to camp together and fun activities to amuse all.
