Purchased in 1988 as a block of Bush, the majority of clearing was initially done with a small Massey Ferguson Te20 a long length of chain a shovel and chainsaw. Built originally with nothing more than the chainsaw, shovel, hammer and nails the log cabin that I still live in has undergone a few changes over the years but we have tried to keep it looking the same on the outside made mostly from large hardwood posts and paperbark slabs and half rounds for walls concrete floor with sunken lounge room. The hand built rock chimney is the feature piece of the front of the cabin so be sure to check it out and get a few pics.Please note one additional vehicle is aloud however any additional vehicle towing another campervan caravan etc is considered requiring a second campsite Korners Bush Camp situated on a 50 acre well maintained organic property with many campsite options, whether nestled alongside a mango tree, parked up next to one of the many dams or waterholes, or hidden away out the back of the property we also have a Golf driving range fire wood plenty of mangoes if the season is right.  We think we have a location to suit your needs.  The property is located just over 1hr north of Bundaberg and positioned centrally in the area as a good base camp to explore from. We are located 20 mins from the local general store, golf course, hardware store and bottle shop.  We're very close to Rules Beach, the Flat Rock picnic area where there is a boat ramp, BBQ facilities and also the local sailing club. You can take a catamaran for a run in the famous Baffle Creek. There is another boat ramp just 10 minutes north on the way to Agnes Water, which is a short 30 minute 4WD through the picturesque Deepwater National Park with various stops along the way: wreck rock, flat rock, middle rock and red rock. These are good for beach walking, hiking, fishing and nature lovers in general.  If you prefer the bitumen road to Agnes Water, or for the return trip to camp, then it is only 1 hour by road.  Korners Bush Camp does not currently have any toilet/ shower or rubbish facilities so we please ask that you are self-contained.  Pets are welcome and we look forward to you staying with us and enjoying the area that has been our home for the past 35 years.

Serenity to the max
Korners Bush Escape at Deepwater
Stayed two nights in this magnificently kept property. We had the 50 acres to ourselves apart from a mob of friendly kangaroos and lots of birdlife. Although a little out of the way, it is worth the effort to get there and is a great place from which to visit Deepwater National Park. The host, Phil, really made us feel at home and provided ample wood for campfires. There is also lovely pondage down the back. If you want peace and quiet and privacy, this is the place to go.

Phillip was super lovely upon arrival and finding a camping spot was easy. There was lots to choose from and heaps of space for my dog to explore. My next passing through I’ll definitely be coming back.

Large open flat space, surrounded by trees, with a few areas with dispersed trees, enough to give shade but not completely hide the sun. Both dams were great, the kids loved exploring, and the flat sandy “little beach” was a great hit as well. We really appreciated all the firewood! It burnt amazing too. Kangaroos visited everyday, but kept their distance from our camp. We did have little native stingless bees visit everyday, however other than those, there was barely any creepy crawlies (which always find me 😖) Definitely the place you want to go if you want to chill at the site and let the kids completely roam! Yet there is so much to do nearby! Rules Beach - awesome and not too busy beach, not patrolled though, Flat rock boat ramp - prefect for us to kayak from. So many places to kayak too. Agnes Waters - great beaches but more populated, has several stores including a great little independent camping store! As there is no public dump points in the area, the closest was out towards 1770, or Bundaberg. I did however ring the “Baffle Creek Nomad Caravan Park” and organised with them to utilise their dump point for $5. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water. We didn’t find anywhere local to fill up, so did trips out to 1770 or Bundy. (We were there for 10 days, had enough for 4-5 days so needed a top up mid way)

Wow what a beautiful spot!! We thoroughly enjoyed our quiet stay. we were surrounded by grass and bush and not a soul around us. magical. We also had the added bonus of some firewood near our camp which the owner said we could help ourselves to - this was greatly appreciated.

Phillip's property is beautiful - grass neatly mowed right through, many private spots to choose from. Very scenic. Firewood plentiful. Phillip is very welcoming and a great host. Highly recommend. The whole area is gorgeous.

Korners Bush Escape at Deepwater
If you are looking to set up as a base camp to explore the area, from Agnes Waters down to Bundaberg. Korners Bush Camp is the place. Or even just somewhere to go offgrid away from the hussle and bussle. You do have to be fully self-contained, and Phillip definitely makes you welcome. Even brought us down a load of wood for our fire.

Very tidy block and camp sites. Plenty of space to find your own patch Phillip has done a lot of damscaping and has a quaint little dwelling that is a marvel in itself Very amicable and chatty he generously allowed us to pick some green mangoes

If you like bush camping that's the place to be. Very quiet with lots of birds life. Phillip is easy going and nice to talk to. Close to nice beach and Baffle Creek. Will love to go back.

We loved staying at Philips property , great place to relax and just take in the serenity , Phillip is a great bloke he even gets you some firewood , if you’re after a spot away from the crowds just to chill and unwind this is the place , I personally would of paid more a night for this place well worth it , thanks Phill

What a beautiful spot. She’s a bit of a hike to get there and out of the way……but if being remote in beautiful bush surrounded by nature, is your thing, then this is the place to stay. Not a soul in sight…..just bush and kangaroos. We thoroughly enjoyed the solitude and serenity. Best nights sleep I’ve had since being on the road. And Phil was wonderful……dropped us down some wood which was greatly appreciated.

Phillip was a very welcoming host! Let us explore his property first before setting up anywhere we pleased. He arrived by tractor to deliver some firewood and have a chat. If you want to setup away from a fire pit, he will organise one and bring it to you. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Very easily accessible - unsealed gravel road into the property, and very flat grassy property. We loved our stay over Easter long weekend getting away from the crowds!

The land was great, lots of space and you get to choose anywhere to camp! Only one other group camping at the time, and there was plenty of space to find a lovely spot and still be 200 metres away, we forgot they were even there. Phil was very friendly and accomodating, absolutely recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Phillips place, the property is very well maintained camp spots are flat, grassy, shady & spaced well apart to have some privacy. Great place to get away from the crowds & close to Deepwater NP. Thanks Phillip.

I loved the big spacious area! Listening to all the birds and animals is just so calming! It is overall a great area to camp and we had the place all to ourselves it was awesome would highly recommend!

Phillip was very hospitable. Wow, 10 bucks a night and Phillip came and chopped up firewood for us. Kangaroos bouncing around near our van. We stayed at a time heavy rain was predicted so weren’t able to get down the back where the beautiful scenic mowed spots were. 100% recommend if weather is clear otherwise fine for a quiet low cost stop over.

Beautiful camp spots available. Rarely see anyone else on the property as the spots are spread out. Phill keeps it very clean and tidy with firewood available.
