We are the only Hipcamp in the District with a real amenity block and flush toilets, hot showers and powered sites! No designated camp spots. Welcome to Kia Ora Pony Club grounds, a pretty and flat 10-acre property to camp on. We are located just off Tin Can Bay Road between Gympie and Rainbow Beach which is perfect retreat for outdoor enthusiasts. You can also bring your horse to go for a ride on the beach. Dogs welcome too. Perfect for big groups camping together for the weekend or travellers passing through. Whether you're a fishing enthusiast or a horse lover, our location has something for everyone. Bring your boat and enjoy a day of fishing at Tin Can Bay or bring your horses and explore the stunning beach trails at Rainbow beach. We provide secure and spacious yards, along with ample grassy areas for your horses to graze and kids to run. If you are sleeping in a swag you are welcome to roll it on our deck. What you get: - hot showers - powered sites - real toilets - peace and quiet, often the place to yourselves - places to eat just up the road - Sublime Brewery, Liberty Goomboorian Servo - you can fill up vans with bore water but not from the tanks sorry - no permanent campers onsite, we only have travellers coming and going What we get: - to message and occasionally meet nice people :) - you to keep an eye on our stuff kinda like onsite security - to improve the place with the funds raised - passive income for our club so we never have to ask our members to do a Bunnings Sausage fundraiser Over summer you can park anywhere on the property and enjoy the green parklands with the security of a fenced area. Fires OK, contact us for timber. Horse people - we have undercover yards, an arena and round yard to use or graze, send us your horse health dec before your arrival please. Unfortunately Hipcamp Insurance no longer covers horse riding, so no riding on the grounds unless you are a member of another pony club, Equestrian Australia or have your own private insurance, Heaps of rides just out the gate though through forestry tracks. (turn left out of the grounds, then left again onto Priddy Rd, cross Tin Can Bay Rd and ride for miles into the forestry) Ask any questions , we are fellow horse people afterall :)

Great spot, facilities first class for a campground. We used as a base to explore the area from tin can Bay to rainbow Beach. The damp is not s destination on its own but a fantastic place to base yourself.

It was an absolutely incredible stay at the Kia Ora Pony Club! I’ve been living too close to the city of this is the kinda shower pressure you get out here! The views of the mountain scape across the road are phenomenal I highly recommend you wake at about 5:30 to see the cows scratching and the sun rise! Would stay again! Hosts are very understanding and kind!

I want to go back. The view is so lovely, mountain sunsets and beautiful fields. Ambience was perfected by birdsong and nighttime mooing - distant enough to be unobtrusive and enjoyable. Can’t recommend enough!

I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery and peace & quiet. I actually wish I'd planned my 2 nights stay better. Love that there is hot showers, and the space to spread out and not camp on top of each other. I will 100% be back :)

Ticked all the boxes for us. Well kept and maintained. Had it all to ourselves which was extra special. Toilets and showers were great. Communication was very good. Highly recommend.

Situated in a pretty valley with friendly locals. Green grass for the dog to run around on. Good location to explore Tin Can Bay, Rainbow beach and Gympie.

Loved this camping site, it’s quiet and peaceful. The amenities are great & there are lots of powered sites scattered around. We had a group of 18 campers and we appreciated that someone from the club dropped off 2 fire pits for us. Sublime brewery is 5 minutes down the road if you want a good feed & entertainment.

There is plenty of space and lovely views of the hills behind the pony club. It was great to have warm showers and toilets available, although there was no toilet paper for the first couple of nights. Toilets were reasonably clean, but perhaps could be cleaned more frequently. We felt secure at night because of the ability to lock the gate at night. The club is next to a moderately busy road but there was not much traffic after about 8 o’clock. The location is great for access to Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay. Would stay here again.

What a gem of a campsite! It offers everything we love and need when camping but at a fraction of the price compared to the big parks. The peace and quiet plus stunning rural landscapes were fantastic. Highly recommended!

A great spot to park up with our 22ft caravan. Plenty of room, lovely greens. Was great having power and the option to fill with bore water. Shower and flushing toilets are a bonus. Would definitely stay again.

How’s the serenity. Loved camping here, great open spaces, nice flat grassy land, bonus of having power, water, showers and toilets, we had the whole place to ourselves, with a fire every night watching the stars. Would highly recommend this place if you want peace quiet and serenity. This one is going straight to the oool room
